Anyone else starting 2WW today?

So the 2WW begins! I know there are a few threads on here but wanted to start one with people that ovulated around the same time so hopefully we'll be getting some BFPs together!

I think I ovulated on Sunday, but not tracking, only going on mucus.
So I'm close by to you.
Wishing you lots of baby dust!

lakejupiter · 12/01/2022 14:10

Hello! I am 1DPO and starting my 2ww. Ovulated late this month which stressed me out but did inseminations on fri sat and sun and then got my peak OPK on Mon. Hoping it works despite timing issues!!

AF due around the 25th :) good luck to you and nice to join you!!

CatLady1994 · 12/01/2022 14:20

Hiya, I'm 2DPO today Smile AF predicted on 24th January! DTD Friday, Sat, Sun - Annoyingly didn't get the chance to DTD on my actual ovulation day, but fingers crossed for a BFP in a couple of weeks time!

Denguin · 12/01/2022 14:22

Hey All. I think I ovulated Monday or yesterday. I have had some uncertainty this month because the clearblue opks did not work but there has been some EWCM and other signs so I am going by that. Hopefully we will all get some positive news over the next couples of weeks :)

lakejupiter · 12/01/2022 14:26

@CatLady1994 snap 👯‍♀️

LittleMrsMama · 12/01/2022 16:10

So great to have other people on similar timelines! AF due on 25th Jan for me.

What are you all doing to keep your mind off it? I'm starting pasta making!

AF is due 24th for me.
I have 29/30 day cycles.
I haven't been temping or doing OPKs but we DTD every other day up to and including Saturday, and I think I ovulated overnight Sat to Sun as I had EWCM when I woke in the night.
We didn't manage to DTD on Sunday which was frustrating.
But in case ovulation came later (one cycle when I was OPKing peak came on CD19), we DTD yesterday again.

It's weird as my boobs started hurting so much yesterday and usually that happens 1 week out from AF, not 2 weeks out.
But I have had a couple of three week cycles in the past 6 months so I'm wondering if it will be that again.

Pasta making sounds amazing @LittleMrsMama
Do you deliver? Grin

lakejupiter · 12/01/2022 16:34

It feels like it's going to be a long couple of weeks. I've been preoccupied with why I ovulated so late this month and kicking myself for not inseminating again yesterday when I finally did ovulate, but my coparent is working and we couldn't do it.

I need to find something to occupy me for the next two weeks and to soften the blow if AF arrived! I've got really obsessive about googling statistics and symptoms, reading mumsnet etc. I like the idea of your pasta making @LittleMrsMama - I have a bunch of work deadlines I'm behind on but maybe I need something more fun than that to keep me occupied!!

Denguin · 12/01/2022 16:45

Pasta making does sound delicious.

I am really into walking so my husband and I have agreed to do a new walk each weekend this year. Hopefully that will keep me distracted as well as renovating our house ! During the week I am so busy with work that I’m hoping that will keep me from googling or symptom checking too much.

I am struggling not to be preoccupied with when I ovulated due to OPK issues this month. I’m not good with uncertainty at all!

I am due AF same time! Somebody to speak to, yay x

I'm 1dpo today. DTD on O, O-1 & O-2 so keeping my fingers crossed now but not very hopeful as we've not had much luck so far. TTC since May last year, had an early MC in August and then took a couple of months off, this is cycle #3 since we started trying again

franc1s · 12/01/2022 19:24

Hi,

I'm currently 1dpo. We DTD on O-1, O-2 & O-3, didn't have the energy to try again on O day!

I don't want to start symptom spotting again this month but know I will. The last 2 months of trying I've had pregnancy like symptoms which I've never had before AF, but I wasn't pregnant, so I won't be getting my hopes up this month!

Good luck everyone!

LittleMrsMama · 13/01/2022 07:28

At @franc1s I planned to do the same with symptom spotting then woke this morning with awful cramps so was straight onto Google 😂🤦‍♀️ I don't think they mean anything though!

Due AF 24th

Considering an early test next week, the ones that work 6 days before

Denguin · 13/01/2022 08:26

When will everyone start testing? I am unfortunately the type who will test too early!

pinkpirlie · 13/01/2022 08:40

Last time we were TTC (had a break as I started a new job and needed to wait until I would qualify for EMP), I tested too early the first few months. But it got too stressful. Which is why I stopped temping and OPKing also.
I get really strong PMS symptoms before I'm due so I know AF is on their way. I was just thinking "perhaps they are pregnancy, not AF symptoms so I will check anyway".
But Iearned to listen to my body.

AmberRH1993 · 13/01/2022 09:06

Hi all, I'm on 1dpo today and the dreaded TWW begins - AF due on 27th Jan.
Cycle 2 TTC baby #2 as my son has just turned 2 himself. Hoping the 2 2 2 will be a good luck charm this cycle 😊

LittleMrsMama · 13/01/2022 10:48

I'm hoping to hold out as long as possible to test but I think I'll probably give in. If I can wait until next weekend that would be ideal with AF due 25th. Last month I tested pretty much every day for 10 days before AF (didn't do OPK), and it was 10 days of disappointment

OP posts:
lakejupiter · 13/01/2022 11:03

Are there advantages to testing early rather than waiting for AF?

LittleMrsMama · 13/01/2022 12:18

@lakejupiter testing early was just because I have no self control. Some people like to test early because there are certain things they won't do if they know they're pregnant (such as drink alcohol, go into a hot tub etc)

Otherwise no real benefit to knowing you're pregnant before AF or when your AF is due apart from your own interest and excitement :)

lakejupiter · 13/01/2022 12:19

@LittleMrsMama yeah I thought so. I don't drink but I'm a massive caffeine addict and struggling to cut down tbh! At the moment planning to wait for AF but in a week I might feel differently - 2ww is eternal!!

RMS0209 · 14/01/2022 08:38

@LittleMrsMama I am due AF same date as you! We can motivate each other to try not test until atleast next weekend GrinBear

ali2021 · 14/01/2022 14:39

Hey everyone! Would love to join your tww train! I didn't use opk this month, so I ovulated at some point this week. On advice of doc, we're DTD every second day. It gets tedious 😆 AF due 26th or thereabouts! This will be our 8th cycle of TTC #1. Each month during tww, I have been altering my lifestyle - exercising less, drinking decaf, not drinking etc and I've decided to stop and just carry on as normal, as it makes the tww much longer! Wishing everyone BFPs!!

MrsSamRowley · 14/01/2022 16:15

Hi ladies, 2dpo, AF due on the 26th. Husband and I DTD every day leading up to and on the day of ovulation so fingers crossed but only 1st month of TTC baby number 2 so trying (and failing!) to be relaxed about it!

Hi @mrssamrowley welcome! We are literally in the same boat.. 2nd Cycle ttc baby #2 and AF due on 27th. We also dtd upto and on ovulation day so let's see how it goes. It's all too exciting to be relaxed about it - too much fun symptom spotting 😂
