@Btbt Sorry if I've missed it and you've said already, but can you go for a blood test?

Btbt · 04/01/2022 19:14

@HelloNope I have a phobia of needles ... So technically I could , but it's horrifying to think about. Hopefully it doesn't come to that

HelloNope · 04/01/2022 20:48

@Btbt I hope you get a clear answer soon x

Brunette1989 · 04/01/2022 20:57

Hey ladies,
Always hard to keep up with these threads 🤣
Hope everyone is OK, seeing some positive and some sadder posts.
I'm still a bit meh, had continued spotting today so I've been googling it all day which has driven me mad. I don't ever spot before AF, normally I wake up on the day and it's very heavy and thats that. So I don't know what to think , do you ladies have this?
As I feel like I'm ruled out this month I'm already looking ahead and panicking. I have a tendency to look at the month and be like well the earliest I'll be pregnant now is October etc and then I panic. I've just got it stuck in my head that I'm getting too old to have my 1st baby (33 in april) so I panic I'm running out of time, I always thought I would have them younger and planned it in my head. Most my friends had babies alot earlier but I do know ladies who have had them my age or later and no issues. I think I've just been asked so so so many times over the years about babies it's made me feel that I'm too old, pressures of society it seems.
Is anyone else in a similar boat? Sorry just feel like I need a little hug at the minute 😔
Xxx

aesgriff · 04/01/2022 21:08

Hi @Brunette1989 I have had spotting this cycle too. It's my first since a D&C and I started brown spotting on 10dpo. Im on my 3rd day of it now and have it only when wiping but with a smidge sometimes on my pantyliner. It's so tough because it's almost false hope yet with being aware it could be AF just waiting to barge on through. Sending you a big hug xx

Sassy144 · 04/01/2022 21:08

@Brunette1989 I'm sorry you're feeling this way, I'm sure all of us can sympathise - particularly with the pressures and questions from other people. I got married last year and felt the questions really ramp up then, I can't believe how many people think it's okay to ask someone (usually they aren't even close to) when they're going to have a baby - how are we supposed to answer that?!

You aren't too old at all, try not to think that way ❤️ and u would say if you don't normally get spotting then that could be a promising sign if anything, when is af due?

madeleine85 · 04/01/2022 21:12

@Brunette1989 sending hugs, it is such a hard process, and so easy to feel down about. You are definitely not too old. I had my first at 35 and will hopefully have my second at 37. Waiting till you are in your early 30s gives a better chance of doing it with the right person, and being financially stable enough to cope with the stress. Do not beat yourself up on that. My doctor told me that the majority of her pregnant patients are upwards of 35, and that fertility declines tend to be 40+. Be kind to your body and self :).

Lils25 · 04/01/2022 21:17

Hi everyone,
This is my first cycle ttc after having a missed miscarriage at 9+5. I've had a negative test so EPU said we're good to go with trying again. Think I ovulated at some point last week based on symptoms but can't be sure. Preparing for my cycles to be all over the place. It's messing with my head already! Lovely to read stories of ladies who have fallen pregnant quickly after a miscarriage. Gives me hope!

Hopingforarainbow27 · 04/01/2022 22:32

@Lils25 welcome and so sorry you've experienced this. Your not alone 💕

Hopingforarainbow27 · 04/01/2022 22:34

Are you meant to have dry or pasty cm if your pregnant after ovulation? I had pasty cm last time which obviously didn't end well and having it again now. I heard if you've high progesterone then you should be dry? Am I wrong?

DancinOnTheCeiling · 04/01/2022 22:38

Hi all, I’ve not posted for ages as we’ve been sooo busy and then thought I’d lost the thread... glad I found the new one 👋🏻👋🏻.

Fairly new to MN so can someone explain how it works, do threads become full or why is there a new one?

Sending positive vibes to everyone. Sorry for everyone who is in limbo, hope you get answers soon. Also 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for lots of BFPs and for healthy and happy pregnancies to those who already have BFPs xx

Brunette1989 · 04/01/2022 22:47

Hi Ladies,

@aesgriff I've never had spotting before which is why it's confusing me and worrying me a bit. It's like how much is 'normal', when is it spotting and when is it AF like ahhhh. Its not been bright red, more brown or light pink (sorry for TMI). Just so hard to talk about it with others whereas I feel you ladies will understand a bit more

@Sassy144 I know what you mean with the asking it drives me mad. I don't know why people think it's ok to ask all the time. I tried to not tell people we were trying but as we miscarried close family and friends naturally found it. So I feel like now its like that expectancy of an announcement all the time and you feel sad not being able to give that through no fault of ours
@madeleine85 thankyou for your message really appreciate it. Now is definitely the right time for us it's just the pressure from outside world that makes me feel like that. it's that tag of 'older mum' that seems to be given drives me crazy, try not to let judgements bother me just hard. As for me I'm stable now and got a house etc everything I need to give a baby the best. Trying to keep positive just hard as time goes on

Thankyou all for the love and support was really needed so I do appreciate it ❤

Lils25 · 04/01/2022 23:35

@Hopingforarainbow27 Thank you. Reading about ther people's experiences and knowing I'm not alone has helped me so much.

Margo34 · 04/01/2022 23:42

Sitting on my hands in the TWW, hello!

Think I O'ed earlier than expected this month so apps are suggesting I should be O today but actually I think I might be 5 dpo based on ewcm.

I'm ravenous and exhausted but I'm putting the hunger down to a post-xmas stretched belly now I'm back on the wagon of less decadence, and the fatigue down to chasing my toddler 🙈 who knows!

AF due around 17th but I suspect will be earlier (13th) if I ovulated earlier. So I don't intend to test before 15th!

Good luck and baby dust to you all 🤞

Mummy202102 · 05/01/2022 03:37

Anyone else ovulating this week would love to know how it goes for you. Praying for you all ❤️❤️❤️

Hope42022 · 05/01/2022 07:26

Morning! I’ve been following this and the previous thread but haven’t posted yet. I feel like I know you all from my lurking so thought I’d say hi. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you all and chucking out as much baby dust as I can!

AF is due today but no sign of her and she usually arrives first thing in the morning. I’ve not tested yet as I had a chemical previously which got me down for a bit so I promised myself I’d never test before AF due date again - difficult as it is! As always, I’ve convinced myself I’ve had all the symptoms (except implantation bleeding) but is most likely due to the excesses of the holiday period. We only DTD once in my fertile window as we were both unwell and I had my booster jab earlier in the cycle so im not sure if these had any impact.

Sassy144 · 05/01/2022 07:38

Hello @Hope42022! I have my fingers crossed for you, I hope af stays away today! What symptoms have you had? And it only takes one successful time dtd so don't count yourself out on that basis!

aesgriff · 05/01/2022 07:48

AF arrived this morning 🥺 after 3 days of spotting and getting my hopes up.
CD1 here we go!

Decaffe · 05/01/2022 07:52

Morning all. 7dpo here… dry CM yesterday and last night I had a really vivid dream about spending the day at Buckingham Palace, is that a well known pre-BFP symptom do you think?!

Shortmamashortcycles · 05/01/2022 07:53

@DancinOnTheCeiling, mn threads max out at 1000 messages, so once the thread is full we need to start a new one. 👋

Hope42022 · 05/01/2022 07:58

Hi @Sassy144, I’ve had a general sort of tightness/cramping in the last few days, a lot of bloating and then I felt a bit queasy and had a little headache yesterday evening. All of these could just be AF! Hoping AF does stay away and I’ll test tomorrow when my clearblues and FRERs arrive. As I will be past my period due date should I still use FMU or does it not matter?

@aesgriff sorry to hear AF arrived. Sending baby dust for next cycle 💐

DancinOnTheCeiling · 05/01/2022 08:03

Thanks @Shortmamashortcycles, every day is a school day 👍🏻.

@Decaffe hahaha you made me laugh out loud. I’m going to say YES it’s a symptom 🤣🤣.

DancinOnTheCeiling · 05/01/2022 08:04

Ps @Decaffe are you Kate Middleton?

PoleFairy · 05/01/2022 08:18

@brunette1989 I feel exactly the same. Due AF on Saturday and had some weird 'spotting' (it's like slightly brown tinted CM that I only have first wee of the day when I wipe) so sure I'm out. Now I'm thinking, if I get pregnant next month then I wont have a baby until october. Soon I wont have a baby this year at all. I'm 31 next month and really wanted a baby at 31. 6th cycle ttc and I'm not even close. Never had even a hint of bfp. At least my period comes every 26 days like clockwork

mightbeyesmightbeno · 05/01/2022 08:19

@Hope42022 wishing you all the best for when you do test ! Hoping AF stays away today. I'm the same as you and due to 2 chemicals the last 2 months I'm going to resit testing too early if I can because the joy of seeing that squinted which slowly fades away is really hard. Hoping it's your month x
