TTC December thread

This part is nearly as bad as the TTW - waiting for AF to be over and to be able to crack on!

By my calculations we'll all know before Christmas if the next cycle has been a success for us - so hopefully either way happiness or sadness there will be lots of opportunities for lovely family time x

I'm exhausted, three very busy night shifts on NICU. All these babies enhancing my broody feelings though 🙈 I'm on annual leave now though until the 19th!

Same! It’s hard not to be just a tiny bit jealous even though it obviously doesn’t mean anything about us getting pregnant!

I thought I O’d yesterday but no temp rise yet so will try again tonight just in case.

I have so many Xmas parties over the TWW! What are you doing about drinks? I think I’ll try and relax and just have 1-2 as it’s annoying not to drink and find out BFN, especially after this year!

There's a rhyme that says "drink before pink" (as in ok to drink until you get your pink line!)

@oldermam ah bless you, 3 night shifts must be a killer! But yes I can imagine it also makes you broody... have some lovely and relaxing leave until 19th!

I'm ok thanks except for another / new round of colds hitting the house before we've even fully recovered from the last! Honestly, if I manage to conceive this month I'll be amazed with having felt so rough!

Keep getting little pinging pains quite low today, but trying not to think into it (probs it just gas 😂!) . But also can't help but wonder if I'm O even though I think I already have.

Anyway, I don't think DH will be up for sex any time soon as is sickly.

2dpo today and it's dragging already 😭 I just want to pee on all the sticks! Have treated myself to a couple of beers while watching films to take my mind off it haha. Probably going to not drink from 5dpo (around implantation time isnt it?) Just incase so today can be my weekend 🙈

4dpo today for me hard to put it out your mind, what day do you guys usually start testing? The amount of times I’ve googled when does implantation occur and then looked back at my calendar. My cousins wife is about to announce her pregnancy at Christmas and I’d love to not be far behind so we can do baby classes etc together

Ah the dreaded lurgy is horrible we've been plagued by it recently. I'm having the same pinging pains! I'm on CD 11. And in my fertile window but my opks are still
Giving me low numbers! Hard to know when to test though as I'm all over the place due to night shifts. I've been testing when I wake in the afternoon. But tomorrow I'll be testing when I wake in the morning. We are just dtd daily (as we always do anyways lol) but OH has had a cold sore the past few days so there's been no kissing which was very weird 🙈😂

I’ve only just started TTC this month however I suffer with reoccurring thrush, I’ve currently got it at the moment, has anyone else experienced fertility issues with this? I was researching online yesterday and I am now very anxious because it says it creates a bad environment for the sperm :(

@MBN25 if you find it affects your natural lubrication, then Pre-seed lube might help you out x

@mightbeyesmightbeno haven’t noticed an affect on this yet but I haven’t had thrush since early this year until now and have only just started trying, just makes me anxious that it will make it a lot harder for us :(

@oldermam I think if you DTD daily anyway then you are pretty well covered and I wouldn't worry about the test strips too much... as not much more you can do!

Closer I'm getting to the end of the TWW the more my anxiety is peaking 😅 xxx

I thought I ovulated yesterday but no temp rise this morning.. maybe it’ll be tomorrow. So anxious to confirm and check if the BD was at good times! And this is before I even start the TWW

When you ask when you can test, do you mean for pregnancy? Or ovulation?

I hate reading into things but just can't help but wonder what on earth is going on inside my body! Backache and mild cramps tonight, pretty constant. Probably wouldn't thing anything of it (especially the back ache as I have a bad back anyway) if we weren't TTC. But as for the cramps 🤷🏻‍♀️ although I think this happened last month and clearly I wasn't pregnant.

7 days to AF due date now. Gonna try not to test until Monday cos last month I was testing twice a day for a week like an eejit.

They all say low though which worries me!

I have woken with horrible left sided pain low down today. I don't remember OV being this painful, I've taken Paracetamol. But it's kept me awake since 5am and I have my works Xmas party tonight and hair dressers at 10:30! I'm going to be tired! Or get drunk v. Easily.

How is everyone today?

@oldermam I don't use these sticks so not very sure on them (probably will do next month as CBS are just silly expensive) but it looks like your latest 2 are getting pretty dark! 🤞

Oh, knowing me probably very soon 😂 App predicts AF next Friday 17th but this is based on my early O that my sticks predicted which I'm not convinced on. Otherwise AF wasn't predicted until 20th if I go based on my regular cycle of 28 days which has been very regular for months now.

So basically..... I guess I'll test next Friday if AF doesn't show.. and then probably over the weekend.

So I've only got 7 days to go which suddenly doesn't seem very long!

I think I’ll test sat 18th, prob only 9 dpo for me so super early but have a big Xmas lunch so want to know if it’s a definitely no drinks or one or two! With my son I tested negative 9 and 10 dpo but then positive at 15 dpo as I managed to last til my period was late so I’m not expecting a positive on 9dpo even if I was lucky this month

@mightbeyesmightbeno my expected af is Friday too! But 7 days seems so very long to me 😂 I've already worked out if implantation occurs at the very earliest time of 6 days then I can start testing Tuesday 🙈. Your patience is impressive haha

After taking a rapid response test this morning and thinking I saw something I went and got the early detection tests. Can't quite believe it!

Nausea is here with a vengeance today and slight cramping on and off, also got backache...still too early to test though 🙈

@kizzy97 I am 11dpo no real symptoms but I was like this with my previous pregnancy so hopefully its the same this time around 🤞🤞
I had a little more cm than usual and had brain fog but other than that nothing x
