TTC December thread

This part is nearly as bad as the TTW - waiting for AF to be over and to be able to crack on!

By my calculations we'll all know before Christmas if the next cycle has been a success for us - so hopefully either way happiness or sadness there will be lots of opportunities for lovely family time x

@kizzy97 10dpo is alright to test at!

I'm currently 3dpo. My tiredness is unreal. Weird nausea feeling and bloated but I'm definitely not symptom spotting 🙈😂

I caved and tested too (10d PO) and a BFN also.
Was up almost all night feeling nauseous and being sick so figured if it was pregnant related then I surely must have a trace of hormone.

Yesterday I had allllllll the symptoms and was absolutely ravenous, even my other half commented on how much food I put away 😂 today....nothing! I did a test this morning too (8dpo 🤡) and I swear I've given myself line eyes because I've convinced myself there's a shadow even though actually it's probably stark white. Should not have bought a box of 20 cheapies haha. Sorry to hear of the bfns, still very early for us all though!

@Theresamagicalplace where did you get your cheapies from? I’ve read such mixed reviews but I just can’t spend a fortune on tests like I did last month.

Keeping everything crossed for you all. I had a friend that took ages for hers to show.. hopefully that’s the case. Xx

@Billymay I got a pack of 20 easy @ home ones off Amazon for a tenner. Last month I used about 10 frers and I can't afford to keep that up 😂. No idea how good they are but they had the best reviews out of the ones I looked at.

A bit late - but can I join in?
TTC #2 and think I should be about 7dpo, but my cycle is always a bit random. I swear I felt all the symptoms earlier in Dec but pretty sure that would've been all in my head.

Will probably test this Saturday when I'm 11dpo just as we have a weekend of Christmasy meals/drinks planned.

@saltedcaramelanything Hi! I will prob test sat too for same reason but will only be 9/10 so prob a waste.

Sorry @kizzy97 and @mightbeyesmightbeno, still not out though and hoping for some good news for us all! I felt sooo nauseous from 9dpo with my first but was negative til 15dpo! Nothing yet but I’m 4-5dpo

@melbxldn thank you! Part of me just has a feeling that's it's too early but the other part thinks I'm out, have a lot of creamy cm today (sorry tmi) just hoping I don't start having any spotting as I normally start spotting a few days before af is due

@kizzy97 I caved and tested today too.. and bfn.
No symptoms whatsoever though, apart from emotional which I normally am before af!
We’re not our untill af arrives.. fingers crossed for Friday.. 😳

Hi @saltedcaramelanything and @melbxldn , I'm aiming to test Saturday or Sunday too! Only 6 or 7 days po today but due on sometime after the 20th (my cycle varies by 5 days which kills me!) The waiting game is the absolute worst isn't it!

I did another test this afternoon 😭 whyyyyy?!? I keep thinking I see something on it and then looking again and it's blank. Why do I do it to myself haha. I'm only 8 dpo but convinced I'm out already

Oh I know what you mean @Theresamagicalplace ! I somehow have convinced myself in equal measure that I'm definitely getting a BFP this month and that I'm out already...

Glad it's not just me @saltedcaramelanything haha. I think it's because everyone who said they're out ended up getting a bfp 😂 trying to reverse psychology my uterus haha.

I’m exactly the same. I ended up buying some tests and did one… I knew it would be negative but before I could be rational about it I was peeing on it. I’m now worried as I saw a clinic near me had walk in boosters so I ended up having one done… the lady asked if I was pregnant and I was like I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ she looked at me puzzled… She had to put it down as a no and I’m now thinking have I ruined my chances… why have I got to be so spur of the moment 🙈

I’ve actually decided to try and wait til Tuesday - so far away! I would test this weekend because Xmas drinks but realistically even if I’m negative I’d still moderate as might be too early and I think so unlikely to be positive somewhere between 8-10dpo. I’ve convinced myself I’m pregnant every time apart from when I actually was so I’m now telling myself I’m not as if that makes any difference ha. I’m still breastfeeding and have long cycles and weird discharge so I think I might not get pregnant until I wean

@Billymay I saw on another December thread that someone got their booster and then found out they were pregnant a few days later so you've not done any damage to your chances!

Oh that’s good to know. I started thinking it’s too late now.. it’s not as if I can take the vaccine out. I just got caught up in the panic around my area but my local hospital are urging pregnant women to have theirs, they are even holding a clinic. I’m going to test tomorrow, I’ll be 9 dpo and I got a positive my last pregnancy then if not I’m waiting till the weekend and if not I will not waste anymore money and think about trying again in a few months. Xx

@saltedcaramelanything I’m glad I’m not the only one. The door was open so a room full of people probably heard as well. Must of looked crazy…

@Billymay I’ve got my Booster tomorrow and I’m in the TWW. Pretty convinced period is coming as had a temp drop but anyway I’m going for it regardless. One of my colleagues at work had the jab and found out she was pregnant a week later so I don’t think it will ruin your chances.

I think I’m out anyway, I just don’t have that feeling I did before. 9dpo tomorrow so I suppose I’m not out yet. I’m hoping someone on this thread has good news soon. Xxx
