TTC December thread

This part is nearly as bad as the TTW - waiting for AF to be over and to be able to crack on!

By my calculations we'll all know before Christmas if the next cycle has been a success for us - so hopefully either way happiness or sadness there will be lots of opportunities for lovely family time x

Wondering if anyone tracks their cervical position?

Good morning ladies I finally got my peak opk this morning since bleeding has stopped since my MC. From day 1 of bleeding in CD17 which is pretty much the same day as last month when I fell pregnant. I'm positive it's the prednacare that's delayed my ovulation by 2/3 days. Anyway wish me luck for a BFP over Christmas.

Bit of advice needed ladies. Today is ovulation day, confirmed with opks. Which means my period is due Xmas day/Boxing Day.

If by some miracle I catch this month and get a positive. I need to start meds right away (clexane, progesterone, aspirin). GP will be closed! What should I do? Without the meds there's a high chance I will mc.

@oldermam not sure your situation but could you test from 10dpo as might get a positive early? Or see your doc just before Xmas and see if they can prescribe anyway? Maybe an emergency clinic open on Xmas or Boxing Day?

@melbxldn such weird timing. 10dpo will be the first of my run of three night shifts so I should be sleeping all day. But I do plan on testing as soon as I can. But trying to get through to my gp is a nightmare!

Think my period is starting today. Cramps are here any I would due on tomorrow so I'm out. I next ovulate Xmas day so hopefully that will be lucky

9dpo - cramps have eased off, might get an odd twinge in the evening now but other than that my symptoms have died down a little today so don't know what to think, felt my cervix for the first time today and it's high, firm and closed but according to other people this isn't a reliable thing to look at anyway xxx

@oldermam what dose of aspirin would you need? Is it an OTC dose?
I'd probably call Gp & have sensible chat and ask for a prescription to go to chemist that you could collect on Christmas Eve if necessary as by then I'd imagine you'd know?

@mightbeyesmightbeno fair enough! It's not something I'm particularly tracking I was just curious earlier...and anything that could possibly give me reassurance!

@kizzy97 I did before my first pregnancy but it was super unreliable for me so I haven’t this cycle or maybe I was bad at reading it lol

@melbxldn yeahh I've seen other people say that it's not really reliable hence why I've not been tracking it, thought I'd see out of curiosity

Had to rush myself to the bathroom this morning before I could talk myself into wasting a test 🙈

@kizzy97 how many dpo are you? FF app puts me at 3dpo but I thought I was 4dpo and outraged to lose a day haha

@melbxldn my apps put me at 10dpo today, AF due this weekend! Getting more nervous the closer it comes haha and oh no! I know it's only a day but it's a day too long when you're in the tww

@kizzy97 oh you’re much stronger than me, I would be testing for sure although I didn’t actually get my bfp with my son til 15dpo!!

@melbxldn only just about, proper had to rush and go before I could even fully think about it! Also I think the anxiety of seeing a BFN is partially what's putting me off

I’m 7dpo today and not really any symptoms. I did have a strange dream but I did watch something similar on tv last night. Why do pregnancy and period symptoms have to be similar?? I told myself I wouldn’t symptom spot as felt really underwhelmed last month when I kept getting negatives and there I was last night looking at the veins on my boobs thinking could this be?? Truth is I just have veiny boobs generally. We only did the deed once 2 days before suspected o so for all I know I could be completely wrong as don’t use opks. Really hoping for a Christmas surprise as it’s been a hard year. Xx

7dpi today and woke up with the exact feeling of morning sickness that I had with my first. It's not like poorly nausea if that makes sense, it's almost like a woody taste and smell that makes me feel really really sick. Probably a coincidence because it's so early but it's a glimmer of hope haha.

@kizzy97 we are cycle twins! Good luck to us both for this weekend. I’m not testing until Sunday x

I am also 7DPO today! Starting to get my usual cramps and sensitive smell like I get before AF so I’m not feeling hopeful. Won’t be testing this month until my period is late because I find it heartbreaking getting a BFN, Id rather AF just show up.

@Tinkerbell098 I'm going to test day af is due if she dosen't show up...that's if I don't cave before then!

@Moonshine160 I’m going to hold off testing too although I was really close to ordering some earlier. I’m the same as you and had a few cramps and heightened sense of smell but I’m now thinking this is normal for me a week before af. Xx

Okay, I've decided I'm going to test tomorrow morning....need all you lovelies to talk me out of it 🙈
