AF 5 days late BFN

Hi everyone!

As the title suggests I'm 5 days late which isn't normal for me. I've had a 28 day cycle for the last 5 cycles. I have had many chemical pregnancies before.

All tests are BFN however I realised the tests at 25mmols.

I'm really lost and confused. I do have a few symptoms such as being super hungry and crampy and watery CM (TMI)

After 4 years of trying this is really stressing me out lol 

I have been taking metformin, folic acid, choline inositol and l carnitine but started these all mid cycle.

Can I piggyback? Used to be a MN member a couple of years ago then stopped using and forgot my login 😂

This is month 1 of trying for DC2, period 6 days late and had nothing but negative tests, no faint lines at all. I wasn’t totally convinced it would happen so quickly anyway so sort of disregarded it until I found this thread and am now second guessing myself. I’ve got some symptoms (heavy abdomen, exhaustion, spots!) but put this down to either period symptoms or symptom spotting. In 20 years I’ve never had a cycle outside of 26-30 days and am currently on day 35. My last cycle was 26 days and for six months before that it was 28. No other reasons why it would be late either other than my body trying to play cruel tricks on me

I have no idea how to help as I'm now 9 days late with a BFN!!!

All I can say is hang in there? Keep testing and keep fingers and toes crossed xx

@beehivettcbaby1 yep! I don’t understand iv been having af cramping on and off from 5dpo keep thinking af will appear! Have you had any symptoms? Xxx

@Niccccx I had such bad cramping last night/ this morning and I was fully convinced AF was going to show but she hasn't... am seeing the dr on Monday xx

@beehivettcbaby1 how long have you been Ttc? I have been off the pill from September but cycles have been so exact until now xx

@Niccccx I've been off contraception since 2018 so 3 years. We've been trying since then, I was tracking ovulation but it became really unhealthy and I got so depressed from it. I was diagnosed PCOS 2020 but I have never had cycles like this they have always been between 28-33 days. I have had chemical pregnancies before but got a faint positive 2/3 days before AF but she's come with a vengeance on time. If I hadn't of tested I would of never known if that makes sense.

What about you? Are you actively trying? Xx

So yesterday (24hrs after my Positive Digital test) I started to bleed, and then the pain started.
I called My GP who sent me to A&E.

Urine and Bloods confirmed BFN?!?! How was that happened??

So the last 48 hours has been a total head wreckers.
10 days late
2 x Positive tests at Home on Thursday (CD40)
2 Negative tests at hospital on Friday.

The Dr in A&E totally dismissed there was ever a pregnancy, just said it was a faulty test and a delayed cycle.

How can 2 (really 4 if you count the 2 earlier in the week that were very very faint) be faulty??

I have never had a positive test ever in my life. This is the first time I've got this far. To say there was never a pregnancy is harder to swallow than the loss of it.

I know my body, I know the symptoms and I know I felt different, I don't even think this was a chemical because I was so late.

To say we are devastated is an understatement, but to be dismissed like that and given no explanation is the hardest part.

@Eden1319 oh darling I'm so sorry. I was thinking about you earlier actually. It's so hard isn't it. They just don't choose their words well and to say "there isn't a pregnancy there anymore" instead of "there wasn't one at all" coveys the same message but just a lot less rude. You know your body and what was happening...

To have 2 different tests saying the same things says a lot...

Don't lose faith though with your own situation, you're still in the game...

@beehivettcbaby1 I never started tracking ovulation as I think I would become obsessed. Using 2 apps on my phone which since September have been bang on apart from this time. My cycles have been pretty short before but now I’m on CD32! Have only been trying from beginning of September but already feels like forever so can’t imagine how you must feel! Yeah actively trying and really thought this could be the month with the cramps but texts are all negative done 2 clear blue digital and 2 Asda digital tests. Xxxx

@beehivettcbaby1 just wanted to say I am still with you still no sign of af. Another random symptom I've noticed is extreme yellow pee. I haven't tested since Monday will buy more tomorrow to do Monday and if nothing there I will speak to gp.

OMG me TOO!!!! What does this mean???

Well on Googling it says that women often notice there pee is much more yellow in early pregnancy than when not pregnant so I don't know what to think lovely but I have everything crossed for us both xxx

@Eden1319 very sorry to hear this. We all saw the positive test you uploaded. I’ve never seen them be wrong. You were pregnant and perhaps the hcg wasn’t high and it rapidly fell. I’m sorry for the heartache of it all

@beehivettcbaby1 I don't remember if I told you that I had a positive test of couple of weeks ago but I have attached it all others since have been negative and still no sign of af not even spotting xx

I'm now 8 days late, no sign on AF and still BFN. When should I be thinking about calling my doctor? I have never missed a period in my life or been this late before. I'm worried something is wrong 😔

Got my AF today. Absolutely gutted 😭
