AF 5 days late BFN

beehivettcbaby1 · 15/11/2021 11:48

Hi everyone!

As the title suggests I'm 5 days late which isn't normal for me. I've had a 28 day cycle for the last 5 cycles. I have had many chemical pregnancies before.

All tests are BFN however I realised the tests at 25mmols.

I'm really lost and confused. I do have a few symptoms such as being super hungry and crampy and watery CM (TMI)

After 4 years of trying this is really stressing me out lol

I have been taking metformin, folic acid, choline inositol and l carnitine but started these all mid cycle.

All tests are BFN however I realised the tests at
Any advice please? Any success story's?

I'm the same - I'm on 29 day cycle, day 36 today. BFNs every 2 days.
Took 2 tests this morning - a Pink Dye shows Negative, but this Blue Dye shows the faintest of lines. I don't know if yous can see it too?
I am so confused - nothing is concrete and I'm too frightened to allow myself to hope.
Been TTC for 10 years with No1. Im 43 and have been through so much to make this happen.

I'm the same!!! 5 days late and constant bfn!! Fingers crossed for you!! Just keep testing, some tests are more accurate than others I've heard but everyone's different. Maybe a blood test might help?

Hi lovely.

I can see it too. It's bloody awful isn't it. Any symptoms? Have you tried a digital?

I haven't simply because I can't stand seeing the "not pregnant"

What test is it?

Hey!

I'm so glad I'm getting responses I'm sick of googling 🤣

I've seen so many ladies go to the GP and they said wait 2 weeks!!! 2 WEEKS!!!!!

Any symptoms for you?

It's a Sainsbury own brand test, and I've read the reviews on them which aren't great 🙈 I haven't tried a digital either because i hate seeing so much advice online I don't know what to do.
Some people advise dye are quicker than digitial, some advise pink dye over blue.

I've rang my Gynae this morning to run it by him so waiting on a call from him to see if he will allow me to come in for a blood test.

He will probably tell me to calm down and sit still for another few weeks 🙈 I can't do it though! I'm upside down at the minute

Eden1319 · 15/11/2021 12:07

As far as symptoms, I'm bloated and really heavy feeling in my lower abdomen, swollen and solid.
My CM is exactly what pg indicters say it should be like, without giving you TMI 😂
But yes emotional, tearful, adrenaline is pumping too. Other than that, that's it.
But not a single sign of AF.

It's great you have that support around you. Is it an unmedicated cycle?

Me too.. CM, cramping, super hungry and funny you say about adrenaline because I've been feeling really jumpy and edgy? 🤣😭

Oh I have my fingers and toes crossed for you!

Get some cheapies online?

Honestly same, I've been looking up symptoms and experiences all week and it's killing me.

I do have symptoms, I've been sick in the mornings and cramping a bit, i also feel bloated and my boobs have gone up a size lol. These aren't symptoms I get with af so I really thought it was a bfp coming but so far I've had no luck.

How about you, how have you been feeling?

Nothing other than feeling hungry increased CM and cramping.

I'm bloated and I've got back pain

I've calculated and I would be 6 weeks pregnant by now so why haven't I got a positive yet?

Mind you I have been using the freedom ones from Tesco. Being a compulsive pregnancy tester I cannot afford to waste expensive ones 🤣

I've got some cheapies coming Wednesday so fingers crossed I'll have a BFP Wednesday 🤞🏻

It's so rubbish isn't it 😔

Some people don't get bfps for a while. With my first baby I wasn't getting any sign of a bfp until I was 2 months along!!

I don't like the tesco ones, I got false positive with them before but tests seem t work for some and not for others. I know first response is recommended but honestly I've alwyas stood by cheapie tests for trustworthy answers.
I hope you get the results you want, it can be so hard and upsetting ttc and not knowing when the bfp will come.
We just need to keep testing and hopefully we'll get it one day xx

Pugmumm · 15/11/2021 13:11

Good luck Op. I didn't get my BFP until at least 15/16 DPO.

Could you have ovulated later? X

I am so glad to see this thread today, the same is happening to me! 16dpo (according to apps) and still BFN on negative tests! I’m now 4 days late and every other cycle AF has shown early. From 5 dpo iv had cramping as if AF was on way but still nothing! X

Sar33 · 15/11/2021 16:41

Sorry to drop in, I am not TTC, in fact I have a copper coil. But I am currently 10 days late. Have never been late before, only when pregnant. I have taken 2 tests, 1 at 4 days late, 1 at 7 days late, both were negative.

I have sore nipples and heavy boobs. I can't feel my threads on my coil either.

Could I be pregnant and the tests are not picking it up? I have tried 1 supermarket own brand and 1 digital.

It's really risky being pregnant with a coil, so I need to know. Called Dr and they said wait another 2 weeks.

beehivettcbaby1 · 15/11/2021 16:45

I caved in.

5 days late.

Oh that does sound worrying, I wouldn't be settled with knowing you have a coil in and a possibly pregnancy. I'm sure they wouldn't risk it if it was dangerous but I wouldn't be happy either.
I would say keep yourself busy and your mind occupied for a week or so.
Convince yourself it's the coil, maybe your body has just had a hiccup this month.
Thinking this way may settle your mind more.
It's gonna be a long few weeks for you if AF doesn't arrive ❤️

Oh I know that blue feelin, but don't give in, it ain't over until AF arrives. Your body is giving you signs too so don't lose all hope. ❤️❤️❤️ It's still early for us yet (I'm telling myself this too) it ain't over yet.
beehivettcbaby1 · 15/11/2021 17:03

At 5 days late though? Surely not? These tests detect 10mmols? Gonna pour myself a big glass of wine I think 🤣🥴

OP posts:
Sar33 · 15/11/2021 17:03

Hope you ladies TTC get the results you wish for soon.

I read that they need to catch a pregnancy with the coil early to check where the coil is and try and remove it. My Gp wasn't fussed.

I have the copper coil as it doesn't have hormones realised so doesn't impact future fertility. I am just concerned as this has never happened.

Will keep waiting ...

mumsie01 · 15/11/2021 17:09

@Eden1319 when you say 'CM is exactly what pg indicters say' what is that? I'm late for my period too and have watery cm but can't find what it normally is if pregnant

I've read so many threads on here and on Google of women who have had multiple BFNs on all types of tests - and suddenly at 9 weeks they test positive, another lady was 12 weeks?
Some just have lower levels of HGC.
Another lady multiple home tests BFNs, tested at the Drs and BFP on the same day.
So many different story's so I'm not losing hope.

Keep that glass of wine - to just one glass - ya never know!

mogkat · 15/11/2021 17:17

I keep being really late and getting negative pregnancy tests.
In the past I've always been a very regular 28-29 day cycle but the last 3 months I've had 35-40 day cycles, a big change for me. I'm on day 36 of this cycle and again no period yet and pregnancy tests are negative.
I keep being told it's because of having the covid jab but I'm not sure if that's why.
It's just frustrating as it's hard to track when it's all over the place. Hope things work out for you soon

Exactly like you describe ☺️ but for me, I keep having the feeling like I've come on. That feeling of 'losing' and when I go to the Loo, it's CM, clear and watery, but more than frequent than normal. I was trying to save yous the gory details 😂

mumsie01 · 15/11/2021 17:21

@Eden1319 Yes I have that feeling too! Not very often but when I do I think I've come on. Thanks for details I appreciate it 😂 I had mid cycle spotting this cycle which I've never had before and don't know why so I don't really know where I'm at with my cycle which is really stressing me it. At this point I just want to come on so I can try again!
