AF 5 days late BFN

Hi everyone!

As the title suggests I'm 5 days late which isn't normal for me. I've had a 28 day cycle for the last 5 cycles. I have had many chemical pregnancies before.

All tests are BFN however I realised the tests at 25mmols.

I'm really lost and confused. I do have a few symptoms such as being super hungry and crampy and watery CM (TMI)

After 4 years of trying this is really stressing me out lol 

I have been taking metformin, folic acid, choline inositol and l carnitine but started these all mid cycle.

It’s precaution more than anything. If I’m not pregnant, and I still don’t come on, they should be able to see why

I’ve seen quite a few threads on here where ladies are late and negative test and usually it’s an anovulatory cycle or eventually af arrives, some are seriously late with Af. Often it’s because the person wasn’t tracking their ovulation with opks and bbt and have just ovulated a lot later than usual.
There are rare cases where hcg isn’t picked up on a pg test and you need a blood test but this is really rare.
I would do a blood test if really stressed and if that’s negative then you know for sure.
It must be hard waiting in limbo.

My Gynae called this morning and has said to drop a FMU sample into my GP for testing, and booked me into an early pregnancy clinic for a scan Mon 29th.

I did another a strip test this morning, still negative but my husband thinks he sees a vvvfl. I am driving myself insane 😢🙈

How are you doing?

I'm okay. I'm really cramping today and super dizzy. If I don't come on in the next 48 hours then I will call GP as I can really feel something going on. Keep me updated xx

Hi lovely. Yes I agree but I've also seen lots of ladies not test positive till 7/8 weeks pregnant and have gone on to have healthy babies. Only time will tell. Either a period or a baby ey!

Hey yes kinda. Super tired. I came back from work at 2pm yesterday and fell asleep which I never do. I had really bad flu symptoms last night (so bad I done a covid test) but woke up this morning without them. My boobs are super sore this morning.

CM is well.... do I have to say anymore?

I'm cramping as well, I cramp way worse in the morning and then by midday it's gone. I'm 8 days late now.

I'm super achey everywhere and hot and cold.

I've seen flu like symptoms are common in early pregnancy. But I'm really not holding my breath. Google is the enemy. I'm going to hold out another week and then go to GP. I do wonder if I've just ovulated later.

Been TTC for 6 months. AF is 4 days late for me which is very unusual, I'm normally like clockwork, on CD37, average cycle is 31 days. All tests coming back BFN including red dye cheapies and CBDs early test. No normal period symptoms. Going crazy here.

I'm meant to be going out for a friends birthday on Saturday. If I still haven't come on should I not drink??

Hey ladies, I'm not actually trying so not sure how I stumbled here but just wanted to give you some hope. I had to be 11 days late to get the most faint line with now healthy 2 Yr old. I never got a positive on a clear blue. I found first response tests to be the best! Good luck x

Okay well I'm 8 days late and still BFN. Some ladies don't have a BFP for a few weeks but everyone is different.

I think only you can make that decision. I doubt a few glasses of wine would do massive damages this early but everyone has their own options xxx

Me too!! I've never posted anywhere on here before however I've read so many threads on here I just felt I needed some advice!

TTC is such a rollercoaster of emotions and a late period is super exciting...

I think I'm in shock 🙈😂
I know we all have our own journeys, some are harder walks than others, but we've been trying for 10 years, I'm 43 and this is my first ever positive test in my whole life. It's been the hardest, longest road, I still don't think it's real.

Keep up the faith though! I'm doing the same still ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

@beehivettcbaby1 don't lose hope yet, not out until AF arrives!

I was 5.5 weeks since my last period last week (so about 1.5wk late for me and 7.5 weeks pregnant) took a test got a negative, a few days later got the faintest positive and now the tests are so strong and my sickness has well and truly kicked in, got an early scan booked in for tomorrow.

Don't give up hope, I was over 7 weeks pregnant (by my last period) when I got my positive this time!

Can I piggyback? Used to be a MN member a couple of years ago then stopped using and forgot my login 😂

This is month 1 of trying for DC2, period 6 days late and had nothing but negative tests, no faint lines at all. I wasn’t totally convinced it would happen so quickly anyway so sort of disregarded it until I found this thread and am now second guessing myself. I’ve got some symptoms (heavy abdomen, exhaustion, spots!) but put this down to either period symptoms or symptom spotting. In 20 years I’ve never had a cycle outside of 26-30 days and am currently on day 35. My last cycle was 26 days and for six months before that it was 28. No other reasons why it would be late either other than my body trying to play cruel tricks on me
