AF 5 days late BFN

Hi everyone!

As the title suggests I'm 5 days late which isn't normal for me. I've had a 28 day cycle for the last 5 cycles. I have had many chemical pregnancies before.

All tests are BFN however I realised the tests at 25mmols.

I'm really lost and confused. I do have a few symptoms such as being super hungry and crampy and watery CM (TMI)

After 4 years of trying this is really stressing me out lol 

I have been taking metformin, folic acid, choline inositol and l carnitine but started these all mid cycle.

I had this too about a week ago. Am so confused! Either way it's a baby or a period right? 🤞🏻🤣

@beehivettcbaby1 you had mid cycle spotting? Any idea what yours could of been? I can only think of ovulation spotting but it wouldn't explain why I'm late and negative test. Fingers crossed it's a baby!

I have no idea as I don't track because I was becoming so obsessed with it. I've been TTC for 4 years now and honestly I've really had enough now. I just don't understand how I can be 5 days late and have a BFN even with an early detection test? It detects 10mmol? If I haven't come on by Thursday im going to call my dr. X

@beehivettcbaby1 have you ever had it before? Are your cycles normally regular.?Def worth a phone call, I hope it turns out to be a bfp for you. The first response tests detect 6.5mmol I think so could be worth trying one of those

Am normally 28-31ish days. I do have PCOS but I've never had a cycle like this before. I've lost weight but not a massive amount. I'm going to wait a few more days and just relax. Wishing you all the best xx

Hey @beehivettcbaby1 I just wanted to comment as I am in a similar situation. We have been trying for three years plus now. I have been having cramping for a couple of weeks now but not like af cramps much milder. Sore boobs, waves of nausea and constantly feel like af has arrived but nothing there. I hope we all get some answers soon. I would also be around 5 and half weeks now xx

Hi, sorry to jump on here but I'm in a similar situation. AF is 11 days late, CD41 and I'm usually regular 28-31 days. All tests are negative. I do feel crampy like AF is gonna show but she just doesn't. I'm worried that there is something wrong because I'm obviously not pregnant! It's so frustrating because I don't feel like I can keep TTC until AF arrives!

How is everyone coping? Has anyone missed a period but still gotten pregnant the next month?

After my vvvfl on a Sainsburys test yesterday, I went out and bought FRER from boots.
Totally negative this morning 🥺

8 days late, still have the same symptoms, adding in a killer headache but that’s probably tension. My tummy still feels like it’s full of concrete, but not a sniff of AF.

No call back yesterday from my Gynae, he probably thinks it’s too soon, and he’s really busy.

This is torture. 🥺

@beehivettcbaby1 I am a week late now have woke up this morning feeling like I am going to be really sick but I'm not testing for a few more days. Have you tested today? Xx

I'm not sure why people rave about FRER I have never ever got on with them. I always get an indent with them. Try a clear blue digital early response? No lines just words lol.. I hope they are the words you want ❤️ if I could give you all a huge hug right now I would. X

I'm so sorry lovely I didn't read your post properly. My head is certainly scrambled this morning 😔 11 days.. wow... hats off to you because that's a bloody long time!

Do you track ovulation?

I'm crampy as well but before AF I normally get super painful boobs but nothing.

Well BD is good to bring on AF I believe?

Have you called the dr? I'm praying you get a BFP asap.

Lol talking about coping.. I'm going nuts! Some people don't get a positive till they are 7-8 weeks pregnant.

You aren't out till AF raises her ugly head!!! Sending so many hugs your way and a tonne of baby dust xxxxx

@beehivettcbaby1 I know people who didn't get a BFP until 10 days past AF due date. Not everyone's the same. You showing symptoms is a very good sign. All the best to you xx

It ain't over till AF arrives ey! 4 years of trying and this is the first glimmer of hope I've had. Xxx

@beehivettcbaby1 I have just use one of those calculator things and based on the date of my my lmp I would be exactly 7 weeks today and still no sign of af lots of symptoms but many bfns so I really don't know what is going on xx

Hi lovely. Yes me too. I would be 6 weeks pregnant today. Hang in for another week and If still no AF or BFP then speak to GP. What tests are you using? Xx

I've just used cheap ones as don't want to waste money until there is site of a line I had one positive tests about 2 weeks ago but it was only faint and all since have been negative so I'll hold off and try testing in a few days if af still hasn't arrived by this time next week I'll make an appointment with the doc for some advise xx

Just to give you ladies ttc some hope. I had a private drs appointment last night and explained my situation. They said that somes it takes longer than normal for a positive to show on a test. They advised me to take a pregnancy test every 4 days.

Today I am 11 days late, this morning I had light bleeding so I put a tampon in thinking it was my period. Went to change the tampon and it was dry. No idea what is going on for me. But I feel very odd today, and now have a headache.

Did your Dr offer a scan or a Blood test or anything concrete to give you hope? Just seems so unnecessary this stress, like a cruel trick, pulling us all, one way, then another, then the other way again.

Any update anyone?

My Gynae called this morning and has said to drop a FMU sample into my GP for testing, and booked me into an early pregnancy clinic for a scan Mon 29th.

I did another a strip test this morning, still negative but my husband thinks he sees a vvvfl. I am driving myself insane 😢🙈
