@Nico89 my cycle average is 30-35! But I’m still stressing and they say stress doesn’t help but how can you not! Catch 22!!! I already think I’m out this month, I was hoping to have a bfp for Christmas

@Hopingforarainbow27 it's such a stressful time.
My aim was to track for a few months just to get to know my cycle better then use that information to just be a little more pro active around the right times without stressing about it and trying to time everything.... but that's not really panned out at all. My bathroom cabinet is stocked to the brim with tests galore and I'm obsessing !
It's never like this in the movies and TV... one time and bam! 😆

@Squiff70 yeah I think it was the lack of pressure and not thinking is this going to be the time we fall pregnant!

But now a spanner in the works, I’ve tested Covid positive this morning I’m okay just a bit of cold like symptoms but hope I don’t start to feel worse! But have to look at the good in the situation, if he tests positive too (which it’ll only be a matter of time probably and hopefully he also doesn’t feel too unwell) then at least we will be isolating together and plenty of time to BD xx

@beckybabyx sorry to hear you've tested positive, but hope the symptoms aren't that bad. That's a silver lining though if you have to isolate, plenty of time for BD as you said! Good luck!

Husband is feeling a bit better - yay!
But on the downside, I tried to initiate this morning but he was too exhausted.
I don’t blame him, it’s been a horrific illness and he’s been struggling to breathe for the past week. We actually thought it was COVID but he’s thankfully still testing negative.
I’m hoping there’s a chance we can DTD tomorrow and the day of. (My estimated ovulation date is the 27th.)

Also while we’re here, I bought the Superdrug own brand ovulation tests (white and purple box). Wish I’d read the reviews on the website beforehand - they don’t work at all. Window remains blank, other reviews all say the same.
Don’t waste your money!

I am confused! Is this a joint November/December thread? If posters are due on in the next few days and are testing now, then they should be on the Nov thread, did it close?!

Positive OPK just now so going to pin him (which keeps auto correcting to Jim..might start calling him Jim at this rate) down later (maybe literally!) And DTD and try and catch it in time. Wish me luck.

Covid in our house too but only DD who is luckily fine and we are both double vax and I had covid earlier in the year (wiped me out big time!) Wishing all those with it or in their houses luck for not getting it or not getting symptoms x

I’ve been so unwell with cold/flu plus tonsillitis and chest infection, and dd really unwell too so have been floored. But am proud to report we dtd 3 x anyway in what I believe to be my fertile window. Being ill has helped with the not obsessing - just went with ewcm plus a guesstimate of the time I usually ovulate and hope I got it right. Every time I started to obsess I’ve tried to remind myself that obsessing hasn’t helped us so far, so I’m artificially making myself feel ‘relaxed’ about it all. I’m considering throwing/giving away my internet cheapies and OPKs (but haven’t managed as I worry I’ll just end up buying new ones 🤣🤣). After we dtd the second time DH said ‘I have a feeling I just put a boy in you’ - how ace if he was right.

@LemonElephant sorry about the BFN on CB. Have you done a FRER?

Can I ask about pressed - is it meant to helpful if there isn’t enough ewcm or is it nothing to do with ewcm?

@dancinOnTheCeiling re pre seed and EWCM I think so, that's my understanding from this thread and doing some googling!

I picked up some evening primrose oil today as well and have taken some today. I predict I'll get my LH surge in the morning so will stop taking it then 😁

Hoping to get a few more DTD in with my trusty pre seed

RE Evening primrose oil when to start taking it each cycle? I know stop after ovulation but how soon before to start taking for it to be effective?

In other news...Jumped Jim 😆 and had a conversation about how crucial timing is, he just looked really awkward about the whole conversation and apologised a lot. Thought I'd got peak reading at lunchtime today but just wasn't happy it was strong enough so naughtily tested again just now and got a definite darker line so timing is actually pretty spot on and he isn't working tomorrow night so will hopefully get in another attempt tomorrow and give us a decent chance feeling much more positive. Thankyou ladies x

Hopefully you won't need it next month but I usually start taking EPO as my period ends, so about CD4-6 and that seems to do the trick for fertile week around CD11-16. Usually my ewcm shows up around days 11-14. So it seems to work quite fast!

@Shortmamashortcycles thankyou if I'm not successful this time round I think I'll give it a go as while I do see some EWCM it's definitely not a lot as I have autoimmune problems that make everything as dry as the Sahara desert from my eyes to well... everything else 😆

Don't know whether anyone has had any experience of this but I am using the advanced CB ovulation tests and usually get the flashing face on day 9/10 (which is I believe due to an increase in oestrogen) and usually my EWCM is around day 10/11/12 with my static face around day 13/14. This month I've only had blank circles so far (currently day 11) but sooooo much ewcm today...am I in my fertile window or not...do I trust the test or .... (I am 13 cycles in so 1. Feel like I know my body well and 2. Starting to feel very downhearted)

Hi everyone, thanks for tagging me in posts! I am full of a cold. My nose is dripping like a tap and I can barely go five minutes without sneezing. Weirdly it seems I'm ovulating early this month (today is CD7!!!) - got a high reading on an easy@home positive OPK tonight and 'feel it' too. Definitely time to jump some Jim tonight and over the next few days also. Drippy nose or no drippy nose (gosh, really painting myself out to be sexy tonight aren't I?!).

@beckybabyx so sorry about the positive Covid test - really hope you're ok and don't have any severe symptoms. The three of us went for PCR tests yesterday as DP and our LG have a nasty cough. All three of us came back negative this morning. Take it easy and please don't put too much pressure on yourself until you're feeling better.

Everyone is welcome on this thread - either migrated from other threads or just joining in for the first time. Now too many of us to tag everyone individually for every post which is great but I endeavour to keep up with you all. I am invested in your journeys and can't wait to see you all get your BFPs and beyond.

Also, it seems a lot of us have coughs, colds, tonsillitis and so-on (or Covid!). I wish everybody back to full health as quickly as possible.

If we're not successful this cycle I'll definitely try evening primrose next month. We've invested in some Pre-Seed and will try that out too.
