I don't know. Not even a week into November and sadly some are out for this month.

If you're dreaming of a white Christmas and you're definitely on Santa's NAUGHTY list, this is the one for you. Not a December bus but a December SLEIGH!

So go Dasher, go Dancer, go Prancer and Vixen! We don't want you to bring us those toys. Please stuff our stockings full of BFP joy!

Aw @katem22 that's a shame 😔 hopefully you still have a chance if you aren't due to ovulate until 27th?

BH1926 · 25/11/2021 23:43

Glad some Jim's have been jumped 🤣

madeleine85 · 26/11/2021 02:13

@winter138 welcome! I’m 36 and dd is also 21 months. Same feelings re. not expecting to be pregnant immediately, but then feeling crushed at negative results. This is cycle 3, but only dpo 2. Hoping this cycle is shorter, last one was 21 days to ovulate, they’ve been all over the place since stopping the pill. AF was 2 days this time and seems to be stopping, which is the opposite effect I’d expect from post pill. Hoping it’s not a problem.

Thanks everyone who recommended EPO, will give it a shot with my arsenal of other vitamins, preseed etc. poor husband must look at our bathroom cupboard and 🤦‍♀️. I started COQ10 after reading it on one of these, but it takes a while to kick in I think, not sure if anyone here has any thoughts about that one.

Xtina1986 · 26/11/2021 07:06

Hey all hope everyone is doing well have been very busy and stressed with work but i enter my ovulation window this wknd, Bought preseed hope this helps going to try and maintain calm and not symptom spot and obsess this time. My hubby seems more keen this month aswell with ls a plus. I Will be busy with work and xmas shopping for kids the next few weeks so hoping to take my mind of it hope we all have a great month and lot of postive tests sending baby dust everyone's way Smile

Tinkerbell098 · 26/11/2021 10:16

Hi everyone, I'm just starting to feel a little bit better after my cold, throat is still a bit sore, but not too bad. I'm CD8 today so hoping to start DTD from tonight given it's a Friday night and also we are going to our first Christmas party!!! #JumpingJim

chiatta · 26/11/2021 10:24

Hello all. My 12DPO will be on 4th December. I am therefore writing on here. I am new to conception threads though so have also made myself known on a couple of others. How do they work, does a new one start each month?
It's my first cycle trying for #2 and I'm really nervous about it.
When is the first time I can test realistically without it being a waste of a test... I have a FRER

FlyOnTheWall89 · 26/11/2021 10:58

@chiatta If you don't want to waste, I would wait until 14DPO. Then, if you are pregnant, you should at least get a faint line.

beckybabyx · 26/11/2021 11:19

Thanks everyone. The Covid symptoms are in full force now, full of cold and banging headache, so don’t think DP is gonna want to come near me haha. He’s still testing negative but it took 6 days since I was a close contact for me to get a negative test and symptoms!! Xx

Squiff70 · 26/11/2021 11:56

I think the term 'jumping Jim' will stick, for now! Grin

@Mummytobe93 how did you get on?

@katem22 it might be time for a little seduction! Good luck!

@chiatta Nothering wrong with using a test at 12 DPO BUT I'd try not to use a FRER each time - use internet cheapies and if you think you see a seond line, however pale, that's where your FRER comes in. There are some problems with FRERs at present giving evaps and indents leading to a lot of disappointment. They are also expensive for regular testing especially if you're a POAS addict like me. I'm not 100% sure what you're asking but basically a new cycle starts on the first day of your period and you count from there. If your period starts, for example, on 3rd December, you count the 3rd December as cycle day 1, or CD1. Sorry if you knew that already - like I said I wasn't sure what you were asking.

@beckybabyx oh bless you, hope you don't get any worse! Get well soon!

I think a lot of us are entering our FW around now. I'm got everything crossable crossed for you all!

Hi all, now onto my next round after AF arrived on Monday, so hoping for a little Xmas miracle! However, just had a letter from my GP and following on from my blood tests (in which everything looked ok) she is referring me for an internal vaginal ultrasound as we've now been trying for a year with no success at all.

Guessing it will be a bit of a wait for that, which is ok. However was just wondering those who have had an internal ultrasound done, how did you find it? Is it better or worse (discomfort wise) than a smear test? How long do they usually take? xx

Shortmamashortcycles · 26/11/2021 13:38

@Janey3090 - internal ultrasound is MUCH more comfortable than a smear test. Thankfully they're not trying to open / faff about with your cervix.

It's not completely comfortable, and if you've any history of trauma or SA then there could be emotional stress, but otherwise it's nothing to worry about.

It doesn't take too long, and they may show you the screen with your uterus on it and talk you through what they can see there and in your ovaries. And if they don't, ask if they can! I really liked having a wee guided tour of my womb.

Hoping for a Christmas miracle for us both - I'm also CD5 today so we're cycle twins this month!

Janey3090 · 26/11/2021 13:45

@Shortmamashortcycles thank you that is so reassuring!! I don't find smear tests too bad - more uncomfortable then painful - so to hear that these are better then that is so helpful. I will definitely be asking them if I can see what they're looking at, thanks for the tip [smiles]

Ohhh we are, will have to keep eachother updated!! Fingers crossed for you Flowers How long have you been TTC, and how long are your cycles normally? xx

Mummytobe93 · 26/11/2021 14:05

Afternoon ladies ✨

Not great actually @Squiff70 - DH had a back ache and couldn’t do it🙄 I couldn’t believe it and was fuming all day but I’m slowly getting over it . It’s CD 11 for me and my OPKs getting darker, probably going to peak tonight or tomorrow morning.

Hopefully he’s up for it tonight but to be absolutely honest I struggle to be in the mood now …

Good luck to anyone trying this weekend ✨🤞

Shortmamashortcycles · 26/11/2021 15:02

@Janey3090, my cycles are only 25-26 days - I usually ovulate around day 14 then have a bit of a short luteal phase. At least I save on tests as I only bother if AF is late!

This is cycle 3 of trying - I have a 2 year old daughter who took 10 cycles to conceive, then fell after 2 cycles earlier this year. Sadly had a miscarriage and now back to trying again. All fingers crossed - hopefully this is a lucky sleigh for lots of us!

Janey3090 · 26/11/2021 15:25

@Shortmamashortcycles oh those are quite short, which isn't always a bad thing when TTC. Mine have been varying between 31-33 days long with ovulation on day 19-21 (I have a short luteal phase like you). So we'll be around a week apart on our peak I reckon!

Oh I'm so sorry about your miscarriage, that must have been so hard. I hope you're doing ok now. You absolutely deserve a Christmas present in the form of a BFP!! Flowers xx

FlyOnTheWall89 · 26/11/2021 18:27

Hi @Janey3090 - the internal ultrasound is totally fine…. Can really not even feel it tbh. It was also quite private considering how not private it is to have someone prodding around down there. I also have 30/31 day cycles and have been trying 8 months now. I think I’ll probably go for another internal ultrasound in the next few months if no luck at that point. Do you temp or anything? I’m not convinced I ovulate every month. X

dory0 · 27/11/2021 09:31

Hope everyone is ok. CD15 here, got my peak static smiley on CB yesterday morning (on CD14, same as previous 3 cycles) but this month I've used easy@home tests as well and my LH is still going up. It's definitely looks like a peak test on them this morning but interesting it's 24 hrs after the CB test 🤔 will keep testing with easy@home to see if it starts to go down now. Anyone else got different results on different tests? If the cheap tests are right my luteal phase might only be 10 days as cycles are 26-27 which is a bit on the short side...

chiatta · 27/11/2021 18:58

I'm 5DPO- any cycle buddies here?

Hopingforarainbow27 · 27/11/2021 19:41

CD20 and still only got flashing smiley!

Nico89 · 27/11/2021 20:09

#JumpingJim complete for this cycle! Now into the TWW. I have a short LP usually only 10 or 11 days so won't be testing until I'm late (she says) and going to so my best not to symptom spot. I started some additional vitamins etc this cycle to help with LP so will see how it goes.

Is it too early to start a testing calendar so we know when we are all testing to wish all the luck? X

katem1990 · 27/11/2021 22:46

Well, we haven't managed it. Husband is still struggling to walk to the kitchen and back without getting out of breath - let alone anything else!

Have been working my way through these ovulation tests as I'm curious to see if any of them work, but all faulty as per reviews (seriously, Superdrug, why is this product on the market?). Have ordered more, ready for next time but they haven't arrived yet.
Without the confirmation, my dates are still only predictions that could easily have been skewed after my late period. As we can't guarantee, there could be a small chance we were in the right ballpark when we DTD, but I'm not holding out for it.

Period due 11/12 and we'll take it from there. Armed with folic acid and better quality testing kits! Bring on December. Star

Nico89 · 27/11/2021 23:23

Aw @katem1990 sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed that timing was on your side after all. If not best of luck for December!

katem1990 · 28/11/2021 00:30

@Nico89

Aw *@katem1990* sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed that timing was on your side after all. If not best of luck for December!
Thank you, fingers crossed. Smile Feels like AF's next visit is an eternity away!
MindZGap · 28/11/2021 12:03

Morning all. Not sure what's happened with me this cycle. 4 days of flashing smileys (Weds-Saturday) then back to a circle this morning. So I guess I either missed my LH surge or didn't ovulate this cycle. So annoying as we did well DTD and used pre seed.

If I did ovulate I'm guessing it was yesterday. Not much to do now except wait I guess. AF due 10th or 11th December.

Added misery is I've woken up feeling ill with a cough so off for my PCR test. Sigh...

beckybabyx · 28/11/2021 12:23

Starting to feel a bit better now thank god! We DTD last night and planning on DTD tomorrow morning aswell, got a flashy smiley on CB last night but still low on easy@home
If I get another flashy smiley when I test later on then will wait till the morning to DTD again but if it’s static then I’ll be jumping jim again 🤣 don’t think it will be though as I’m only CD10 today! Xx
