I don't know. Not even a week into November and sadly some are out for this month.

If you're dreaming of a white Christmas and you're definitely on Santa's NAUGHTY list, this is the one for you. Not a December bus but a December SLEIGH!

So go Dasher, go Dancer, go Prancer and Vixen! We don't want you to bring us those toys. Please stuff our stockings full of BFP joy!

That's interesting @beckybabyx, hope it really is IB!

@Bundaberg84 how are you getting on? Do you still think you'll test tomorrow?

OP posts:
MindZGap · 10/12/2021 22:52

Still no sign of AF for me. Going to my parents tomorrow instead of today so I think I will test again tomorrow morning.

It's weird @Squiff70 when I first started TTC (back in August) I was so excited to test and wanted to just know either way as soon as possible. At this point I don't have that excitement about testing. I think I've had so many BFNs I just associate them with disappointment if that makes sense? So I don't have as much temptation to test because I just wanna delay the bad news.

Squiff70 · 10/12/2021 23:01

I totally get you @MindZGap. I know I said on the group calendar I'd test at 9DPO but that was for my covid booster. I'm 9DPO tomorrow and won't be testing - I don't want to waste FRERs and if we're lucky this month it wouldn't show up on an IC yet anyway. I have little inclination to test yet but might cave on Mon or Tues. AF not due til Fri but I've started with sore boobs tonight which for me is a sure sign AF is a week or less away.

silvercosmopolitian · 10/12/2021 23:25

silly question for those who have been pregnant before...did your boobs start to ache before period was due ?Q

MindZGap · 10/12/2021 23:46

Makes total sense @Squiff70 - if the mood takes you you can test Mon/Tues, if not wait a little longer. I have everything crossed for you.

Hopingforarainbow27 · 10/12/2021 23:50

@silvercosmopolitian yes mine do. Do yours not usually hurt before period?

MindZGap · 11/12/2021 09:03

Another BFN for me this morning, think around 14DPO and AF now 1 day late. I actually think of all parts of the cycle this is the worst bit - knowing AF most likely right around the corner but still having that tiny bit of hope and uncertainty. Will be a relief when she arrives.

How's everyone else getting on?

newjourney21 · 11/12/2021 09:13

@MindZGap I'm exactly the same as you, AF one day late but BFN. It's so frustrating isn't it Sad

OK92 · 11/12/2021 10:14

5DPO today and time is going so slowly. Have a horrible cold too passed on to me from DD. Hope everyone is doing OK.

@silvercosmopolitian my boobs never hurt with previous pregnancy until maybe more like 6 weeks but I also never get painful boobs before AF, just bad cramps!

BabyBird20 · 11/12/2021 12:10

3dpo and totally obsessing this month! I can't seem to just put it out of my mind, it's exhausting! I'm wishing the time away til I can test but also panicking that I'm not remotely ready for Christmas! 😬😬

KateInHappyland · 11/12/2021 12:15

AF is officially late. Had a look at the dates and I believe she should have come yesterday.
I do have that ‘day before period’ feeling so it’ll probably come shortly, but feeling like my body is playing tricks now!
I was almost tempted to order more tests just now (just to make sure…) but I know they’ll just be more BFNs so trying to resist.

KateInHappyland · 11/12/2021 12:16

Excuse my slightly dodgy attempt at italics! Used the wrong one. Smile

Decaffe · 11/12/2021 13:16

@beckybabyx

Hi all, sorry I've been quiet on here - been trying not to symptom spot or obsess in the TWW. 7DPO today and not a lot to report other than 5DPO I was TIRED - with a huge emphasis on the caps lock and very irritable (although this could have been because of how tired I was!) Then 6DPO (yesterday) I was still quite tired and had a bit of an achy left boob in the evening and a tugging feeling in my stomach yesterday afternoon but I think that was maybe just symptom spotting at its finest. Premom says to test 12DPO on 14th December, which DP told me the other day is his late grandads birthday - so hopefully he sends us a little Christmas miracle Xmas Grin

Hope everyone is okay and looking forward to hopefully seeing some BFP's in here over the next few days xx

Where in the Premom app does it tell you what day to test? Mine just has a generic “test near the end of your cycle.”
KateInHappyland · 11/12/2021 14:43

Well I may have run out of tests, but that didn’t stop me trying my ovulation strips!

Oddly, they are positive. Top was earlier on, bottom was just now.

I’ve heard of ovulation tests picking up on pregnancy, but I also think it’s possible my body has just gone completely haywire this month.

Have ordered more FRER and Clearblue to see if anything shows. At least if AF comes before they arrive I’ll have them for next month.

Ho ho ho! We all want Santa to come (with loads of BFPs)! It's the December thread 🎅🌲🎁

How interesting?! Have you had any other symptoms? Let us know if you decide to test today 🤞
Nico89 · 11/12/2021 15:03

@KateInHappyland voice of reason here
... it might just be the lighting or my tired eyes but neither of those opks look like a 'positive' line in terms of what to look for on an opk. They are picking up LH but it is almost always present in small quantities. If your baseline is usually lighter than this then fingers crossed this means something though Smile I'm desperate for good news for someone Xmas Smile

DancinOnTheCeiling · 11/12/2021 15:07

@KateInHappyland and @Nico89 If the lines on the left are the control lines and the two darker ones are the test lines then I think the OPKs look very positive. Kate - can you clarify? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you big time, keep us posted x

Decaffe · 11/12/2021 15:08

I would agree with @Nico89, neither of those are positive - the test line needs to be as strong as the control line. Quite the opposite to pregnancy tests!

I totally get the urge to test though. Only 8dpo here and AF not due until a week tomorrow! I hate the not knowing.

KateInHappyland · 11/12/2021 15:11

@AmberRH1993 I started cramping early on at about 4DPO and it hasn’t actually gone away yet - been on and off since. No idea if that means anything! Been feeling very hormonal in general but put that down to PMS!

@Nico89 Yes, things like this are exactly why I’m not getting my hopes up as there are so many factors!
My negative OPKs with the same brand throughout the month have had absolutely no second line - this is the first ‘positive’ I’ve had (or perhaps not, if they don’t look right!).
I’ve also heard they can pick up any hormone surges before AF so there’s that to consider too.
Could even just be dodgy tests!

But I’m glad I’ve bought some more tests and can hopefully get closer to ruling it one way or the other. Wish AF would just come if it’s going to. Grin

KateInHappyland · 11/12/2021 15:16

@Decaffe Interesting, thank for the insight! These are the only lines they’ve ever shown so have nothing to compare to - usually the only one that shows up is the control.

May switch to another brand and see if they’re any better at picking up the low levels so I can actually tell if it gets darker!

And definitely, the not knowing is the worst!

KateInHappyland · 11/12/2021 15:18

Nope, darker ones are controls! I wrongly assumed they were positive as they usually don’t show up at all.

False alarm guys, sorry!! Blush

Decaffe · 11/12/2021 15:25

Here’s an example of mine. You can see on my peak it was a literal dye stealer - the test line is much darker than the control!

I wholeheartedly recommend the easy@home tests used in conjunction with the PreMom app.

But fingers crossed you won’t be needing it anyway next month! Smile
