Hello everyone ✨🎉

I’m starting a November thread after being unsuccessful this month, got some spotting so probably cycle day 1 for me today, with fertile window being in the first week of November.

Please join me if you’re as hopeful about fresh cycle as I am!

My main goal is to DTD more, we definitely didn’t make the most of it in October …
I’m therefore going to be 100% honest with DH that we need to get down to business this cycle.

PS. Hope you like the title 🙈😂😂

Well AF arrived today as I knew she would! I'm going to move over to the December thread later but just wanted to wish you all lots of luck! 🍀 fingers crossed 🤞🏼 for some BFPs on here before November is out! xx

@crabcake31 I’m the same, neglected some relationships at the moment as I’m so preoccupied with TTC and selling our flat/buying elsewhere.

I’m really struggling this afternoon with the lack of control over both situations and cried.
We did a viewing recently on what I can only describe as our dream house and it’s so hard not to imagine ourselves in the house with kids.
I really hate not being able to do much more than trust that everything will work out.

dory0 · 12/11/2021 16:16

@Firsttimetrier I totally get how you feel. In the same situation trying to sell a flat and buy a house (with more rooms than 2 people need, but we hope to fill 😩). I find it helps a bit to just try and do some nice things for myself/us sometimes, I can't control a lot of things but I can order/cook exactly what I fancy for dinner, have a nice bath, get my favourite chocolate, watch something I've seen loads of times but always makes me laugh, or go for a long walk with DH and vent! Do something nice for yourself this evening or weekend if you can ♥️

Natalie2304 · 12/11/2021 16:27

@dory0 I second all of that because as a second time mum you 100% do not ever get time to do those nice things for yourself again!😂 just relax and look after yourself. I'm a strong believer in that it will happen when it is supposed to happen, you've done your bit, enjoy the break of trying ❤️

beckybabyx · 12/11/2021 16:52

@Mummytobe93 that is interesting about each ovary being different! Love finding out new stuff like that!

madeleine85 · 12/11/2021 17:01

@Capricorn8990 congratulations!! The first trimester was pretty nasty for me, being exhausted and sick all the time. My back really hurt too at one point because I wasn't working out. Echoing what everyone says about checking your medications with your GP, but also i'd recommend maternity yoga. You should be able to youtube it if there isn't one to go to in person. Back when I was pregnant I did some, and it was relaxing, took my mind off the stress, strengthened my core, and is a suitable first trimester activity (i.e. not too intense/hot). Hope you are feeling better!

SD89 · 12/11/2021 17:20

@Decaffe

I’m with you! The TWW is torturous, I’m so impatient 😂

@Danani

How frustrating, sounds like the timing was ok though so I’ve got everything crossed for you!

I’m 11DPO today and another BFN this morning, however I’ve just had some spotting which I’m hoping is IB as AF isn’t due until Monday and I’m (normally) very regular!

Capricorn8990 · 12/11/2021 18:20

@Squiff70 and @madeleine85 thank you for your replies. I've had a chat with a GP today and decided to stop taking my medication.

That maternity yoga sounds fab! I'll definitely give that a go. Thank you so much x

Peonies94 · 12/11/2021 18:34

@crabcake31 I totally agree! I’ve put so many things in the back of my mind as ttc and working 6 days a week is taking over!

lemons44 · 12/11/2021 18:47

@Capricorn8990 you're allowed to ask for a perinatal mental health referral about your meds. GPs are helpful but they aren't necessarily experts on the subject.

I can only speak from my experience with my own medication but when we started TTC 8 months ago I saw the perinatal mental health team who explained all the risks to me of taking my medication vs stopping it. I did stop my meds (very slowly) but have recently ended up back on them due to a relapse where my depression and anxiety spiralled downhill very quickly. I haven't had my BFP yet but when I do I will likely stay on my medication until the 3rd trimester.

Just don't suffer in silence. There is support and options so if you begin to struggle after stopping your meds, reach out. Keep a mood journal if you can (theres good apps to log your mood) just to make sure you're checking in with yourself. I logged my mood daily on an app called Daily Bean and that really helped me to see how I was coping with stopping the medication and when I started to really struggle and need help.

Sorry for the long post but having just come out of such a bad relapse after stopping my meds I just don't want anybody else going through the same. Mental health is such a bitch.

X

@xoxo321 ahh I’m the same! 4DPO and going crazy with temptation to know/test! The next 5 days seem soo far away! Hoping the next few days will go quickly with a little bit of time off work!

Mummytobe93 · 12/11/2021 19:15

So important to take care of your mental health @lemons44 - especially for future patents! Happy mama happy baby, 100%💝

Im having some dull cramping, last month I had it the evening before my period came. I REALLY hope AF is not coming tomorrow as a) I still hope I’m pregnant and b) that’d make my luteal phase very short! I’m only 9DPO for goodness sake 😬

I did have at least 4 nights this cycle with no or very little sleep, and I wonder if this could impact the length of my cycle?

Thought I’d post this to remind people who test early, that just because it’s BFN doesn’t mean it’s staying that way!

Peonies94 · 12/11/2021 19:38

@xoxo321 I’d love to say I’ll wait, but I know that by Wednesday I’ll be desperate to test!

MindZGap · 12/11/2021 19:51

That's a really helpful tool thanks @Peonies94 Love me some stats and facts.

Currently 9DPO the only thing stopping me testing is I'm away for a few days 😁 It's been a lovely distraction actually - wish I could go away every 2WW!!

Fingers crossed to everyone testing tomorrow 🤞🤞

Peonies94 · 12/11/2021 20:07

@MindZGap it’s good to put it into perspective when I’m testing at 9DPO! Your good, enjoy your time away!

Goodluck to everyone testing in the next day or two! Wishing you the best of luck! I’m sure someone is due a BFP from our list soon!!

Peonies94 · 12/11/2021 20:30

@xoxo321 that makes total sense! I’m hoping to test 10DPO but may cave the day before!

Well, I really was hoping to come with good news but it wasn’t to be, I’ve been cramping for two days and spotting has started, I’m guessing tomorrow will be cycle day 1 I’ll not throw in the towel just yet but I’m pretty sure it’s all over that cycle and a new one beginning 😭😭😭😭😭

5dpo here and sensitive nipples - my boobs are NEVER sensitive! Could that mean anything or is it too early?!

Firsttimetrier · 12/11/2021 23:12

It’s comforting to know you are in a similar situation! It’s so stressful. One of our friends gave my husband and I tickets to Mo Gilligan tonight and it was a much needed relief of laughter! Was completely spontaneous as we only got the tickets a few hours before, but we had a little date night so feel ten times better.
