Hello everyone ✨🎉

I’m starting a November thread after being unsuccessful this month, got some spotting so probably cycle day 1 for me today, with fertile window being in the first week of November.

Please join me if you’re as hopeful about fresh cycle as I am!

My main goal is to DTD more, we definitely didn’t make the most of it in October …
I’m therefore going to be 100% honest with DH that we need to get down to business this cycle.

PS. Hope you like the title 🙈😂😂

I’m a type A too, I think @Danani I bloody love planning and organising absolutely everything! I’m the kind of person who will arrive an hour early as being late gives me the worst anxiety.

We’re in the process of selling our flat too and the unknown and no control is driving me crazy.

I don’t know why we’ve decided to do three of the biggest things in life all in one year (got married in July, TTC and selling and buying a house) as it’s not great for my anxiety 😂

Danani · 11/11/2021 12:14

Argh....so sorry @Bundaberg84. This sucks big time. Sending you a big hug!!

@SantiagoSister oh hahaha good to know I'm not the only one!! :) How long have you been trying? How did this cycle go for you, where are you up to? TWW? :)

Bundaberg84 · 11/11/2021 12:16

Thank you @Danani

Danani · 11/11/2021 12:16

Awww bless your heart @Firsttimetrier! It is stressful!!! We got married five years ago, but I feel you for the TTC and house stuff. We bought our flat last year just as the pandemic began, my anxiety of "are we even going to complete?!" was through the roof!! I'd say, hang in there, and when it's finalized, you will be glad to have the distraction of the new home to faff with and not over-fixate on the TTC. :)

Decaffe · 11/11/2021 13:23

4dpo today; I don’t know what’s happened to my chilled out ‘what will be’ vibe, I am feeling desperate to test!

I am trying to tell myself rationally that: my egg was very likely immature, and, we only DTD once, so it is exceedingly unlikely, but I can feel myself thinking ‘what if’ all over again! Confused

@Danani I know exactly how you feel, it is awful when DH doesn’t feel in the mood for DTD but you know your fertile window is ticking by. Of course, you can’t pressure them but a tiny bit of you thinks “please can we just power through your “feeling tired”?” I don’t know what the answer is, I’m afraid.

Irishfarmer · 11/11/2021 14:45

@Decaffe Tell me about it! I'm 6DPO and itching to test but going to hold out.

Peonies94 · 11/11/2021 17:01

@Mummytobe93 goodluck for tomorrow!!

Peonies94 · 11/11/2021 17:03

@Decaffe your a day ahead of me, I feel like I’m having the same conversations with myself! My husband has hidden the tests for now, and I’m determined not to take them out of hiding til atleast Tuesday where I’ll be 8DPO, but hopefully I’ll last until Wednesday!

Irishfarmer · 11/11/2021 17:11

@Peonies94 :D that sounds like something my DH would do!! If he knew just how much I am tracking following everything. He has an idea but really not too much.

Nico89 · 11/11/2021 17:13

I'm out Sad have been trying to sleep through bad cramps today and now more bleeding so pretty sure AF as made her appearance.
Ladies still to test this month good luck 🍀 anyone else in my boat see you in December!

Mummytobe93 · 11/11/2021 17:40

Ahh sorry to hear about your AF arriving @Nico89 ! Wish you all the baby dust for December ✨

Thank you @Peonies94 😁

I’m SO tired today, I’ve done two night shifts in a row and I’m absolutely shattered! Looking forward to have a good night sleep and plenty of FMU to rest tomorrow 😂

I don’t know what To expect, I’ve got some of my usual PMS symptoms but also I feel different in some ways … We shall see! Whatever the outcome you’ll be the first one to know about it 😌🤞

Hi ladies,

Nothing constructive to add just now so just saying hello. I'm 6/7DPO and not much to report expect I've had some weird lower abdo pains in the last 24 hours. Feeling very emotional at the moment too. Even a dance remix of a song I love sets me off Confused

Not testing until next Tuesday though. She says...

SantiagoSister · 11/11/2021 18:31

@Dobcaty that’s lovely news for them, I’ve always dreamed of having twins. I know exactly what you mean though, you’re happy for them but sad for you at the same time. I shed a tear over my DP telling me his colleague gave birth on Tuesday, which was my due date with my little one I lost. I was happy for her, but sad for us 😢

@Danani you’re definitely not the only one! It seems like there’s a few of us Type A’s on this thread so we can all obsess and be impatient together lol I’m on CD13 at the moment, just impatiently waiting for my peak reading which hopefully will come over the next few days 🤞🏼 This is my first cycle trying after losing our little one at 29 weeks earlier in the year, it’s a very complex, emotional journey now compared to trying before, where it was all so exciting.

Sorry to hear you’re out @Nico89, all the best for next month 🤞🏼

@Squiff70 that’s all sounding quite positive, fingers crossed your abdo pains were implantation! Good luck for holding out until Tuesday, I know I would cave and test at the weekend at least, the worlds most impatient person!!

Good luck to everyone testing in the next few days! 🍀✨

Peonies94 · 11/11/2021 18:35

@Squiff70 ahh your so good! Wish I could wait that long! I’ll probably cave by Tuesday and test and I’m only 4DPO!🤦🏻‍♀️

Peonies94 · 11/11/2021 18:36

@Irishfarmer yeah mine doesn’t know the half of it, and he’s still trying to rein me in😂😂 if only he knew! Turned psycho since TTC!

Shortmamashortcycles · 11/11/2021 18:52

Aww sorry @Nico89. Hopefully next cycle will be your month. Feel free to join us over on the December thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4393864-Ho-ho-ho-We-all-want-Santa-to-come-with-loads-of-BFPs-Its-the-December-thread

tryingforbabyh · 11/11/2021 18:55

9/10 DPO and there's now a brown tinge to my discharge when I wipe after a wee. It doesn't matter that this literally happens for a few days before my period every month (and has been happening earlier and earlier)...I still insist on thinking it might be IB even though I know it's not...why do I do it to myself 🙈😂

Dobcaty · 11/11/2021 19:14

@SantiagoSister I am so sorry for your lost, it must be really hard for you.

I decided to distract myself and wipe this feeling away so I cleaned out the dreaded cupboard...much happier for them now 😊😇

lottieb92 · 11/11/2021 19:19

Note : convinced it is an evap … so not going to celebrate yet.

Why oh why… I’m only testing 7 days earlier than I planned (I know … oops) but I have been quiet on here for 2 days as I’ve been feeling sick, particularly car sick and insomnia like a manic, then all night wanting to just scoff my face. Not so good when I’m getting married in three weeks. So i thought hey why not. Tesco only had CB no FRER…. And already regretting starting this POAS week lol.

This has made me want to have a test on Saturday however …. Luckily lots to keep me busy until then. Welp…

Remember remember the month of November as it’s the month I’m getting pregnant 🎉✨
madeleine85 · 11/11/2021 20:43

@lottieb92 fingers crossed for you!!

Finally got a peak OPK reading today, day 20. Thank you covid booster for that one, glad it is out the way though. Last month we DTD not as much/earlier pre ovulation as I was first month ttc so didn't know my cycle. This month's O is so late my husband is about to go on strike, so i'm glad we are reaching the end of the window. Trying to relax a bit, have a date night planned tonight, will have some wine and be less regimented than last month, since clearly that didn't work anyway!

Danani · 11/11/2021 20:52

Ahhh fingers crossed @lottieb92🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@SantiagoSister I am so sorry for your loss, my love! Sending you a big hug! I hope this is your month!!!

Digby86 · 11/11/2021 21:47

@AppleTree16 huge congrats!! How exciting!

@Nico89 @MrsBiddy sorry to hear AF got you. Keeping everything crossed for a lucky December for you!

@Mrslight sorry about the bfn, but as you say it’s still early - not out yet!

@Danani sorry to hear you had such a rough day yesterday. This ttc malarkey can be tough. I’m really pleased to hear you’re feeling brighter today, and that you were able to come and let it all out here - we’re all in this together (if that’s not a super weird thing to say!!)

Digby86 · 11/11/2021 21:57

@dory0 @SD89 sorry about your bfns too - though same applies, it’s still early days, things may yet change!

@Mummytobe93 good luck for tomorrow 🤞

@Dobcaty I love your positive attitude and think there must be so much to be said for giving yourself permission to focus on other things in life sometimes and let ttc take a back seat. Sorry to hear that the news made you feel down - I think that’s totally natural. Of course you’re going to be happy for them, but I think it’s totally ok to feel sad for yourself too. I really hope your time is coming very soon.

I hope I haven’t missed anyone’s important news!! Sorry if so - so much to catch up on.

I’m 10dpo today. Had serious urge to go dig a frer out the cupboard earlier, but resisted. I might go crackers over the next 9 days. AF due mon/tues so I’m kind of hoping that either she’ll come and that’s that or she won’t and every day I can start to get a bit more optimistic rather than wondering blindly, and that might suppress my desire to poas in order to have an inkling of what’s going on. I don’t know if that makes any sense…

Not much to report here really. Have been exhausted since Saturday. Feeling generally a bit grotty (like I’ve had a cold coming on for days, but it’s never actually come to anything). I am of course over analysing every twinge and ache. But I think, I’m reality, I’m probably just coming down with a cold 😂

Coco9910 · 11/11/2021 22:05

Evening everyone! How’s everyone feeling? I’m 8dpo, not sure how I’m feeling but had some intense pains in the uterus yesterday for about 10 mins and felt a little queasy every now and again but I think that’s just in my head 😂 I’ve been out for a meal with DH this evening and had 2 glasses of wine and I feel so guilty and I don’t know why! I don’t really want to drink while TTC but trying to take the more relaxed approach as you just don’t know how long it could take. I’ve given myself the pep talk of even if I am currently pregnant we don’t share the same placenta yet, and also people drink until they find out they are pregnant when they aren’t trying. But the pep talk hasn’t helped 😩 Am I being silly or can anyone else relate?

madeleine85 · 11/11/2021 22:19

@Coco9910 I have a DD who I didn't know existed until I was 6 weeks gone. At 5 weeks (unknowing) I got engaged and celebrated my bday. There were many drinks, she is now almost 2 and there were never any issues. The dr asked me at the time if I had been drinking, to which I said yes, and they were just like, ok, well time to stop, but otherwise were completely unconcerned.

Now that we are actually TTC, last month I tried to be a little better (I only really drink at weekends anyway), it does help BMI etc if TTC/health in general, so cutting back isn't a bad idea. I wouldn't go completely cut it out though if you enjoy a casual drink. 2 glasses is completely fine in my non drs opinion. Some people take years TTC (hopefully not the case for you) and it is a lot to say no to a little wine for half of each month, especially when there is no proven effect that early. I totally understand the paranoia though!
