Hello everyone ✨🎉

I’m starting a November thread after being unsuccessful this month, got some spotting so probably cycle day 1 for me today, with fertile window being in the first week of November.

Please join me if you’re as hopeful about fresh cycle as I am!

My main goal is to DTD more, we definitely didn’t make the most of it in October …
I’m therefore going to be 100% honest with DH that we need to get down to business this cycle.

PS. Hope you like the title 🙈😂😂

Xxxx

What on Earth do I do now? Do I have to call GP?! This is our first, so we're a bit blind with it all

Squiff70 · 04/11/2021 17:17

Congratulations @Capricorn8990! That's amazing! Flowers

Shortmamashortcycles · 04/11/2021 17:24

@Capricorn8990, congratulations!!

It slightly depends where you live, but my advice would be to look up your local maternity units / hospitals and decide where you like the look of. Usually you can refer to them directly, then they'll be in touch to arrange an initial midwife appointment at 8 weeks (about 4 weeks from now!)

You can also message the GP so they are aware - the hospital should do that too but worth making sure in my view!

Coco9910 · 04/11/2021 17:35

Congratulations @Capricorn8990 💕

hopefulmumma90 · 04/11/2021 17:50

@Peonies94 yeah it is very annoying I get people ask me that too I always just joke it off
@Capricorn8990 oh wow congratulations 🎉

lottieb92 · 04/11/2021 19:08

Congratulations @Capricorn8990 ✨🤍

Bit of an essay so sorry in advance :
Updating on the CB OPK’s so .. yes they were a bit baffling, as a first time user and first time trying, but I starting testing CD10 and kept getting the big old O … which was odd as my app told me I’d be ovulating on the 4th … which is today!
So I tested this morning with high hopes to see a smiley. Nada.
But then I had my cramps this afternoon - some EWCM after my shower and sat in bed and thought. I can feel 100% I am about to ovulate (who even thinks that to themselves haha!) and just convinced myself that test has got to be wrong… so I did another and there it is the SMILEY! I’d like to thank whoever suggested testing twice a day, as I would have probably given tonight a miss due to frustration. But I’ve spotted it and any luck I can get haha. I’m almost half as glad because they cost so much if it came back O I’d have launched it out the window.

Trusting my body from now on! But thanks for all the advance from this thread! ✨🤍

Capricorn8990 · 04/11/2021 19:12

Thank you all ❤️ lots of baby dust to everyone xxx

Mummytobe93 · 04/11/2021 20:11

It’s so satisfying isn’t it! When all your signs align with the OPKs/BBT @lottieb92 😌Make the most of it tonight hunny 😉

@Capricorn8990 congratulations ❤️

@Danani my friend knows cause she is also TTC so she confided in me and it left right to tell her we are too. But other than her I haven't told anyone as I think it will only add to pressure. We have DD who's just turned 4 and constantly get told we need to give her a sibling 🙄 people just don't think when they say these things. I actually had that said to me when I was having a CP last month and I had to make excuse to walk away as was about to burst into tears! Xx

ohmybaby · 04/11/2021 21:16

Hey everybody! Lovely to see some BFPs already, congrats!!

I’m on day 11 of my cycle, had a horror surprise 37 day cycle last month after over a year of 28-29 day cycles so I have NO idea what’s going on with ovulation etc. Awaiting my EWCM, took an OPK just now but looks stark negative… just as well as I’m so tired so not sure I can bring myself to DTD today! According to Flo it’s the first day of my fertile window so we really should…

Anyone else at a similar point in their cycle?

Squiff70 · 04/11/2021 21:27

Hi @lottieb92, glad you trusted your body and instincts to do another OPK! Our cycles are in sync (today is CD14 for me and I got my peak today too).

I was thinking this thread has been quite quiet recently but I suspect we're all busy with DTD (well, other stuff besides but mostly DTD) Grin

Nervousdave · 04/11/2021 22:51

First time using the one step opk (I used another brand last couple months), and they seem crap 🤣 the background stays super pink for a very long time after the reading window, so premom is really struggling to pick up any test lines 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm meant to be ov tomorrow or Saturday according to my apps (I'm CD19 today) and so far nothing happening on the opk.

In other news, DH has initiated BD twice this week, very unusual for him. Not sure what signals I'm giving off but they're working, just a little earlier in the week than I would have planned 🙈

Good luck everyone, I feel like half the thread is O this week!

Mummytobe93 · 05/11/2021 07:08

Morning lovely ladies 🌞

My temps is slowly increasing. I think I’m 2DPO though not yet confirmed by FF. woke up with a slight headache… And I keep getting “bloating noises” by from my uterus area😂Dear God, it’s going to be a longggg two weeks!

I reckon so as well @Squiff70 @Nervousdave - I think most of us are pretty busy this week with ovulation tracking & DTD😀 I’m sure the thread is going to pick up once we all are in TWW😉

Mummytobe93 · 05/11/2021 07:15

@Nervousdave lucky you girl, DH got the hint 😉keep it going throughout the weekend.

TMI but since I’ve started putting my legs up after sex (even though I know there’s no proof it actually works) I’ve noticed there’s hardly any leakage afterwards 🙈(mind you, I do stay laying down at least an hour after ). To the point I’ve asked my DH yesterday if he’s 100% sure it all went in😅😂
It’s also less with more frequent DTD, but I think that’s normal…

@Danani I told my two best friends and my mum. It's interesting cause I thought that my friend just suddenly fell as a surprise kind of thing but turns out that wasn't the case. I was going to keep it quiet and just allow those three people but then I just told people.. Like the other day I was listening to a narrated lecture about supplements in pregnancy just after telling my partner about how he had to take them and then it said it isn't crucial and so I mentioned to my uni pals (who I have met irl 3 times) that it got me in trouble and then they asked. I just know I won't tell anyone at work until it happens. My pt knows too just incase I fall pregnant as my training will have to change.

I think I'm 1dpo today. My boobs hurt although didn't get an obvious temp spike I got my static smiley on Wednesday so think I o yesterday. We managed to dtd yesterday though so fingers crossed.

lemons44 · 05/11/2021 08:21

@Danani I've told the Dr as I had a blood test this week just to check I'm not deficient in anything and I'm planning to tell my dentist when I have a check up in January just because I don't want any x rays. Apart from that I'm not going to tell people. We've been trying for a while now and I couldn't cope with people wondering if it's happened yet. I just feel it's too much pressure.

Well girls it's 'remember remember the 5th November' today! Good luck to everybody ovulating this week. I really hope this is a lucky month for everyone.

Peauela · 05/11/2021 08:28

Good morning all! Happy Friday :) I've been quite as nothing significant is happening, I'm 7DPO today and trying not to test until 14DPO that is if AF doesn't show earlier. My cycle was a bit delayed I think due to Pregnacare tablets I've been taking, nothing crazy though.

We are not telling anyone we're trying although our family is suspecting that we are because we've mentioned it before that we want to start after the wedding... although we've also mentioned that ideally, we would want to get a mortgage first which is definitely not happening anytime soon lol so there may be a bit of a surprise if we succeed 😂

Hope everyone is doing great!

dory0 · 05/11/2021 09:11

Hey all, re-joining you now I'm 4DPO and it is dragging already! This is cycle 5, we did SMEP again but missed the final one. Feel quite hopeful this month 🤞 so lovely to see some BFPs on here already! Re telling people, I've told my best friend only, anyone else would feel like too much pressure personally. I've not been testing in previous cycles, just seeing if AF arrives (cycle is only 26 days so it tends to arrive on 12DPO), but this time I'm probably going to test on 10/11DPO because of a couple of events that I'd need to come up with an excuse for not drinking at! 😬 Happy Friday everyone!

Bundaberg84 · 05/11/2021 10:01

I wasn't really planning on telling anyone, but after the first month I confined in a good friend that was 9 months pregnant at that time, and my first BFP was a day after her son was born so I told her immediately. That ended in a chemical though.
Fast forward when I got a BFP again, my friend knew about it, and soon after we met with our other two friend, one of them told us she was expecting, so I told her I am as well. It felt so good to not having to lie to them, because really we talk about everything usually. The pregnancy ended in an ectopic, I had to have surgery and at that point I would have told them anyways. It was then when I also told two other close friends, and my DH family (MIL, SIL and sister) and they were so lovely. I was afraid of possible questions in the following months, but nothing of the sorts.
It was harder to keep it a secret in the worplace as people knew I was having a surgery, that I was in the women's hospital, so I just invented something. Cyst that needed to be taken out and it ended up being so bad that I had to remove the tube. The thing is, that I am very close to some people from my workplace so it was not possible to lie entirely.

BH1926 · 05/11/2021 10:12

@dory0 I'm 4dpo too and it already feels like this tww is dragging 🙈🤣 I'm going to try hold off testing til I'm late as had CP last month and don't want to know if it happens again.
If I am to fall pregnant this month I'd be due about a week before my friends wedding 🙈 and I'm a bridesmaid but she's the one friend that knows and is also ttc so may be pregnant herself 🤣 xx

lottieb92 · 05/11/2021 10:32

@Mummytobe93 ... it felt like I was doing something right for once when that face popped up that is for sure, a big sigh of relief.

It does seem we are likely cycle sisters @Squiff70
AF is due 19th November for me ... so I suppose as of tomorrow I am in that TWW! Wow this month has gone so fast so far... let's see if this drags.

I also note a quiet thread is a busy one ;) keep it up ladies!!

Coco9910 · 05/11/2021 10:41

Morning all,

I believe I’m 2dpo also @Mummytobe93! Are you going to test early or wait and see it AF arrives?

I’ve continued to do my easy@home OPKs after getting my peak on Tuesday evening, as it suggested, and last night I got my first “low” reading since my peak, and then this morning I got a “high” result again or 1.22 (my peak was 1.68). I’m going to test again this afternoon, but I hope it continues to go low and I did ovulate on Wednesday as I I don’t think myself and my partner have it in us to DTD again tonight after doing it the past 3 nights 😂 I told him he could have a few days off 😂 Does anyone have any experience with the easy@home OPKs and do they usually take a couple of days to go low after the peak? :)

Squiff70 · 05/11/2021 10:56

@lottieb92 my AF is also due on the 19th. I think as I got my peak yesterday then likely ovulation is today. We DTD last night so maybe we're in with a small chance afterall. I'm feeling a bit bruised now (he isn't rough!!) but I took one for the team anyway 🤣

MindZGap · 05/11/2021 11:22

Think I'm 2DPO too! AF due 17th. Planning not to test unless she doesn't arrive. Gonna be a looong 13 days.

The last two cycles I've convinced myself I'm pregnant but this time I'm going to really try not to think about it too much!!!

Mummytobe93 · 05/11/2021 11:36

Oh wow that’s bizarre @Coco9910 that you got such a high reading again … I know that LH is present in our bodies at all times but I never got another peak.. I think? . I usually test one more
Time after getting a peak to see if it goes down and that’s it. Did you get EWCM as well?

And yes, I’m planning to test around 9-10 DPO, hopefully tomorrow FF is going to confirm I’m indeed 2 DPO today which means I’ll test next Friday 😀
