Hello everyone ✨🎉

I’m starting a November thread after being unsuccessful this month, got some spotting so probably cycle day 1 for me today, with fertile window being in the first week of November.

Please join me if you’re as hopeful about fresh cycle as I am!

My main goal is to DTD more, we definitely didn’t make the most of it in October …
I’m therefore going to be 100% honest with DH that we need to get down to business this cycle.

PS. Hope you like the title 🙈😂😂

Big congrats @LittleMysSister. You’re in the other group too - thrilled you got your BFP. Really would like a shock for me too now. Put that EPO you bought back in the cupboard! X

LittleMysSister · 03/11/2021 12:05

Thanks everyone, I honestly can't believe it, really completely shocked. I have just been getting so pissed off with Pregnacare, thinking Flo would now record an abnormal cycle for me and make it hard to track ovulation this month, I genuinely took the test for confirmation of a negative and could not believe it at all when the 2nd line appeared. That's why I did the second test!

The only thing I've had that was a bit strange was that on the day after my period was due I had a pink wipe after a wee so used a sanitary towel but only got a tiny bit of blood for the whole day. Then it stopped and nothing else since. But apart from that, absolutely nothing at all, no sore boobs, no nausea, no anything.

DP and I actually spent Saturday night talking about our options and when we should start looking into tests, chatting about adoption etc etc. I bought some Evening Primrose Oil on Sunday because I was convinced I had no EWCM, luckily was waiting for day 1 of my period to start taking it. I've also been on my sister's hen do, been out drinking with DP and had a cider last night because I was so sure, especially following 2 negative tests Confused. So hope all is ok on that front.

@Danani Yes!! I did do some things differently this time actually. I used a small bit of PreSeed internally for the first time (only once though so not sure if that made a difference or not) and I inserted my menstrual cup (also slathered in PreSeed Grin) after DTD during fertile week and left it in all day as I would if I was on my period.

Other than that, the only other thing is I switched to Pregnacare Conception from Seven Seas at the beginning of September, purely because a friend gave me her leftovers and mine had run out, but I doubt that has made a difference as I imagine they are quite similar in make-up.

I know, tell me about it, I spent ages hunting for it in Boots as well! Haven't even opened it yet.

Still very early days for me obvs so feeling cautious, but fingers crossed you get a surprise too! :)

Leibee87 · 03/11/2021 12:12

Congratulations @Mummybearto3bg and @LittleMysSister

Squiff70 · 03/11/2021 13:38

Huge congratulations to @LittleMysSister and keeping everything crossed for you too @Mummybearto3bg!

LittleMysSister · 03/11/2021 13:55

Thanks both :) Still keep staring at the sticks in disbelief, I am home alone today so haven't even been able to tell anyone except you ladies!

So here is the awkward question....

Can anyone tell me all about CM? What are the stages and when should it be each stage and what does it mean?

Even though We have been trying for a long time, I still can't get my head around it and use it as a good tell tale sign for fertile period and ovulation etc!

HRHXO · 03/11/2021 14:09

@LittleMysSister oh wow what a nice surprise for you, congrats!! Do you mind telling us how many dpo you were? I've stressed myself out by testing early. AF due on Saturday 6th and I'm only 11dpo now and had a BFN x

Thanks!

So looking back at Flo today is CD36 for me and I got my static smiley for ovulation on CD19, so I guess that makes me around 16DPO today?

I had negative tests on Saturday and Monday which would have been 12 and 14DPO. Not even a faint line at all on either of them. They were the paper stick ones.

LittleMysSister · 03/11/2021 14:38

PS. Should add according to Flo AF was due on Saturday, which is why I tested that morning as I was going out with DP on Saturday night so wanted to know if I could have a drink.

MissyMilinky · 03/11/2021 14:53

May I please join the bus? First cycle ttc #1 and 4dpo today. Husband and I are both early 30's. Going to go straight in with SMEP, because why not!

Mummytobe93 · 03/11/2021 15:03

Hi @WhiteLily86 I’ve found d quite good article in CM through Fertility Friend app www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Checking-cervical-fluid.html
Hope it helps!

@WhiteLily86, the article Mummytobe mentioned is useful, but I wanted to add that from my experience, CM can be very individual - our bodies are all so different! Read up on the "normal" but my advice would be not to worry if your own body is different, and just notice changes within your cycle - within a couple more cycles (if no BFP!) then you'll learn more about your own normal.

Oh and honestly CM after ovulation is really bad at predicting pregnancy! Do not get sucked into symptom spotting based on wet / creamy / ewcm late in the TWW - it isn't reliable!

lottieb92 · 03/11/2021 16:20

@LittleMysSister whOOoo congratulations amazing news ✨🤍

Looks like you and I might be testing the same time @Mummytobe93!! But I do want to wait for the 19th of November if possible…

Still coming up O on my CB OPK and wow I wish I hadn’t bothered now. But I’ll keep testing and keep DTD every other now until the end of the week. That way I’ve given it my best and hopefully will see a smiley any day now.

Luck to you all! And hello to newbies - this is our month!

lemons44 · 03/11/2021 19:29

@mia899 I was in a similar situation this month... sobs of tears on my own and then blazing argument with OH where he said he doesn't like me pressurising him for 'sex on demand'. I then ended up ovulating later this cycle when he was working away so we pretty much missed this month completely.

However for us it was a good thing as we actually had a really big heart to heart afterwards and it turns out I'd been doing a lot of stuff that was putting him under pressure and taking the fun out of it. This was stuff I didn't even realise I was doing 🙊 It also gave me chance to explain to him how we have to do all the tracking for the whole month to identify the few good fertile days so now he actually understands better too the effort im putting in.

I feel so much better about the whole thing. I guess what im saying is even if this month goes completely wrong for you try to use it as an opportunity to then have an open discussion, get on the same page and move forwards.

This TTC is a total mind fuck at times! You're not alone though.
Xx

Congratulations @LittleMysSister 💕

lemons44 · 03/11/2021 19:37

Also congrats to those who have had BFPs! Xx

BH1926 · 03/11/2021 19:41

@Mummybearto3bg I read somewhere that it is possible to fall pregnant again without having period after miscarriage but can't remember where. I had a CP last month and didn't know much about them so was liking it up must of been in some of those things I read. Maybe give GP a call? Fingers crossed for you xx

Dobcaty · 04/11/2021 06:43

Morning gorgeous ladies

Just catching up in the last two days, congratulations @LittleMysSister and keeping all of my toes and fingers crossed for @Mummybearto3bg! Let us know when you talked with your gp 🤞

Update from me:
Temp dropped, LH is going to peak today and the possibility to O this evening/tomorrow morning
A little bit early even for me, but I was expected as I had my first covid vaccine last week and I read the jab can fast forward the cycle. We DTD last night and I hope I won’t be too tired to jump on (him) this evening and tomorrow, just to cover the basic 🤩 and the tww begin 😬🙃

DH had his interview on Monday, he said he did well, but also said he hates the waiting. I did asked him what does he think how I feel in the tww?! 🙄😂

How is everybody doing? Here it’s been chilli in the last few days, my favourite time of the year, but I feel a cold is coming on me

Danani · 04/11/2021 08:13

Good morning sunshines! :) Happy almost-Friday!

How are we all today?

CD 13 for me over here and we're getting there! My easy @ home OPKs are still low, but higher lows than earlier in the week, and I finally got flashing smiley on CB digital, so I assume I'd get my peak tomorrow/Sat morning. Been taking BBT, which dare I say...has been consistent so far? Whaaat? I know, who even am I? BD-wise, we have been diligent and doing it every other day so far, so I just hope we both feel in the mood tomorrow/over the weekend to continue with the momentum. :)

@Dobcaty, well done to DH with the interview, fingers crossed for him, and good that he gets to experience the wait as well. Grin
It sounds like you're covering all bases with the DTD, so I have my fingers crossed this is the month for you!! :)
Btw, it's super chilly here too, I have busted out all of my winter coats and scarves and jumpers, and...may or may not have been listening to Christmas music for the past few days in secret. Grin I've also started negotiating with DH on when we can put up the Christmas tree. This should really tell you all you need to know about me and this season. LOL

Mummytobe93 · 04/11/2021 08:16

Hello everyone ☀️

Haven’t got it confirmed yet by my BBT but I’m pretty sure I’m 1DPO today - woke up with a strong craving for hard boiled eggs… To the point I actually risked being late for work to cook them! And I’m just tired in general, can’t be bothered with basic household tasks, everything just seems too much at the moment. How’s that for symptom spotting? 😂😂😂

@Dobcaty sounds you’ve got all bases covered! You go girl! Glad to hear your DHs interview went well.. but what do they know about waiting huh?!

And it’s been SO cold, especially yesterday! I’m from South East and I had to wear my proper winter outfit - boots, gloves, the lot.

Have a lovely day ladies xx

@Danani look at you keeping on schedule! Well done😀 and well done for sticking with taking your temps - I must say I got better with it this cycle, last one was a write off. I think because of the temperature drop you can really feel the Christmas is just around the corner, which I can’t believe! How come we’re nearly in 2022?

Morning ladies!

Currently 9DPO getting impatient now 😂

Mine look different lol

Anyways have a good day x
