It seems AF is coming to get me end of this week (Fri), so instead of feeling sorry for myself I’m trying to look forward to October and getting to try again! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hello everyone! You are all making me really excited about TTC again... I have been swinging back and forth about whether it's too soon but I know I'm just going to get swept up in it now!

@Mummytobe93 we have the same issue with falling asleep on sofa - I go to bed earlier (because also our smalls get up before 6 often so I need to front load the night!) and my husband will stay down to 'watch an episode of something' or 'play on his xbox'... actually he just always falls asleep in about 10 mins then sheepishly crawls into bed at 3!

We laugh because for our first we were v keen at baby making and I think he was actually conceived on a night away when we had had a lot to drink after a fancy meal in the hotel we were staying at. Our second, it was purely functional 'I am very tired please just perform your duties so I can get back to sleep' haha!

Anyway this has mainly reminded me to go and check my temp. I always take it and then chuck it back on bedside table then enter it later...

Hi all, this is my first time on one of these chats, this is the 1st cycle of ttc with child #1. Im currently on CD19 and my cycle averages about 33days. I have found that many different ovulation calculators that all say somewhere between 25th to the 2nd are fertile days. Has anyone else found this? What one can be trusted? I haven't used OPK’s as feel this would take the fun out of it we have been DTD everyday since CD11. Fingers crossed to everyone trying this month 😊

I will stop asking questions about OPKs soon (sorry!!). I did a Clearblue ovulation test as soon as I got up this morning and had a blank circle but then did my usual OPK test around lunch time which is when I usually do them and my results look like I could get my peak tomorrow or Friday, but then that doesn’t explain the blank circle on the Clearblue. Or would it be that maybe I have a really quick and short peak? Any advice appreciated xx

My cycles are about 30-31 days and my peak was on CD17 :) I am also trying for our first :) best of luck ❤️

@Coco9910 ClearBlue never worked for me..I always have very short peak and using clearblue ones in a day, made impossible to detect peak and o. I used lh strips in the same time, tracked bbt so I did knew I was ovulating

@Danani using bbt its a very useful information but you need more cycle to see your own pattern. (Hopefully you won't as this will be a very lucky month) So many things can mess up; a glass of wine in the evening or a heavy meal before bedtime etc.
I used to work night shifts/early morning shifts and I never had two temperatures taken in the same time, just went to the 3-4 hours sleep and took my temp before got out of the bed. After 10 months of bbt I can clearly see my pattern even when the tww's insomnia hit me (never can sleep after o)

Yep AF is due on Friday for me too! Gonna test on either Saturday or Sunday. I’ve ran out of tests 😅 so I’m not buying any until the weekend cause I know I can’t help myself! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Please can I jump on. Was part of a TTC group but has gone quiet now as most are pregnant!

I'm 25, Been trying off and on since October last year. Found out was pregnant in April 21 and unfortunately miscarried at 6 weeks. Had a traumatic year as I've also lost my Nan as well so not really been "trying" more like seeing what happens. I know I ovulate around day 17-19. So I'm just hoping for my rainbow and good luck.

Hoping to chat to some people and get to know people who are in the same situation as current friendship group I'm the odd one out!

Good morning to everyone else im having such a hard time getting out of bed recently and once I get back home all I want to do is go back and sleep days are getting shorter and darker and I think it’s starting to hit me

Weird, I have very, very regular cycles, and in all months I used opk I ovulated at the same CD, but not this month so it seems. Surprise peak today! Three days earlier. Good thing we DTD yesterday :)

@Peauela I was at Ikea the other day, already full of Christmas stuff. A bit early I think, but you're completely right, felt like blinking twice and it's already October tomorrow.

How many DPO are those of you who are already in the TWW? Any “symptoms” yet? Are you feeling tempted to test early or will you wait for AF?

Early days for me, only on CD7, however I started using OPKs from yesterday just to be sure. I still hope and expect that O is next Fri as predicted. 🤞🏻
I am feeling hopeful for this new month and cycle! Anyone else feeling the good vibes this time around? 🍀

P.S. Please, do not tell me what shops have their Xmas decorations our already. I am weak. I have no self control when it comes to Christmas. I may or may not have already started the negotiations with DH on when it’s acceptable to put up the tree 😬😬😬

How’s is everyone doing today?

I’m absolutely knackered, done a night shift and I’m regretting it big time 😴

My future SIL is hinting that she’ll try (or she’s already trying) to have a second child… which is great, her DS is an absolute darling and was a big factor in me getting broody 😂Nothing makes you want to have a child more than close family & friends having their little ones … it’s also great for the kids to be similar age.

Ahh I thought I won’t feel the pressure this month but I know its creeping up and before I know it, I’ll be buying pregnancy tests in bulk💀😹

@Danani I think we are in sync, also predicting O next Friday here! Cd9 but I have slightly longer cycles.

I cannot think about Christmas yet! Have three more family birthdays to get through first.

@Mummytobe93 ahh yeah it is lovely having cousins close in age, I'm really close with my cousins but also both of my children have one within a year of them and they're so sweet together. It Def adds a layer of emotion (pressure!) though when trying!

Oh hey @Mummytobe93! 👋 ahhh seeing friends/family with little kids is the best/worst. It just makes you want that for yourself so much more, which unfortunately does put the pressure on. 😬 Repeat after me: I will not test early this month. 😁

By the way, in a fun turn of events, yesterday I had blank circle on CB OPK, today I just tested and it’s a flashing smiley. Either my O predictions are out of whack, or I’m gonna have 6-7 days of flashing smileys before I get a peak, which… doesn’t that sound like a lot?
I usually start OPKs about 7 days before predicted O, so I get 4-5 days of flashing and then peak. I wonder if something is off this month, or if it’s simply because I started testing like 4-5 days earlier than I normally would! Is this normal? Does anyone has any insight for me?

@Effram arghhh seeing that OPK today I am starting to wonder if we’ll be in sync after all! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi @Danani, yes we need to stay strong! 😁

Regarding the OPKs, I think we have LH in our system throughout the cycle, so it’s possible the OPK can pick it up way before ovulation (especially if you’re testing first morning wee)
The cheap OPKs would give me a faint second line form about 4 days before ovulation. I’ll start testing mine from tomorrow.

Exciting @Danani you're making me want to get the opk out now haha! I have never used the clear blue ones, just the cheapies so I can't really offer any insight. I tend to get faint lines from a week before though.

@Danani @Effram I think I am in sink with you guys. O peak 9th Oct so 7th-9th Oct will be my prime days :-).

I’ve done some reading, and apparently you could get 7-9 days of FLASHING smileys (meaning high) before you get the static smiley (peak)! Isn’t that wild?! Who knew! 🤯

So, I’ll continue to test with FMU (that’s how I’ve always done it), hopefully things are not too out of whack! I hope for Peak next Thu, so a week from now!

@Mummytobe93, yes I have been doing BBT for 6-7 days now. This morning it was 36.22 - I’d say pretty…good/low/standard for CD 7? Nothing out of the ordinary I don’t think. 🤷🏻‍♀️ How are you getting on with it?

@Danani Re the CB smileys. Yes I think people can get lots of flashing smileys before they get the static smiley. It says when to start testing on the CB instructions based on cycle length. For me, that would be 2nd October (CD 10). I think this builds a nice window in case of early ovulation. I think in general, DTD every other day would be fine anyway. I just like having the data!

@FlyOnTheWall89 yes, yes, you are correct. Based on my cycle length I should have started testing tomorrow or Saturday. 😬 But I was bloody impatient. 😂 I just assumed I’d get blank circles till Fri/Sat. But maybe it just means you start getting the flashing a bit earlier. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also appreciate having the data, the graphics, the forecasts 🤓 not that it has helped me so far 😅

Hey @Danani ❤️ I’m due AF tomorrow. No signs of it coming but tbh I don’t always get pre cramps so it’s not really a sign of anything. I did a test like 2 days ago and it was negative… I’ve just bought 3 more tests cause I’m supposed to be waiting until tomorrow or Saturday but we all know I’m gonna test today 🤦🏼‍♀️ One of them is digital so I’m saving that one for in a few days lol.

With my first, we DTD on August 5th and I had a pregnancy test done by a doctor at the very beginning September because I thought I had a water infection but his test showed I didn’t. He said “could you be pregnant” and I said, “maybe, I suppose but I doubt it. I’ve just had a period at the end of August (implantation bleed) Why? Could my symptoms mean I’m pregnant?” He said “possibly” but we did the test and it was negative. I didn’t end up finding out until I was 7 weeks!!!

Soooo I’m still holding onto hope for this month but if not, I’m feeling good about October!!!! 🍀
