Is this an evaporation line or indent?

Currently 11dpo and had a stressful 2 months.

July ended in a chemical and last month very positive lines on tests getting progressively darker only to suddenly disappear and AF appeared a week later, so probably another chemical.

I'm 43 so odds against me at my age. Did this test today. Had zero symptoms so far, except sore boobs, but feels like period sore boobs.

I can see a faint line but not sure if it's colourless? Did another FRER last Friday and was stark white??

I can't add a photo but don't know if this link will work:

I can’t see any colour to it, it looks grey to me.
Maybe retest in a couple of days
Good luck Flowers

Was this taken in the timeframe? It looks quite dark to be an indent, although as you say, no colour. Looks darker than the colourless early positive I had before it turned pink the next day. Have you tried cracking it open. I know it invalidates it, but my 'indent had very slightly pink ends.

ShoeBun77 · 13/09/2021 18:44

Yes. The line came up straight away and actually I was expecting it to be stark white so was surprised anything at all came up. I cant make my mind up if it's grey or very pale pink. I know the answer is to wait and test in a few days, but its so hard isn't it, all the waiting!!

In that case I'd say that's an early positive. Mine came up straight away but was so much lighter than that, it went pink the next day. Attached a pic of mine!

Ahh congrats to you. I've got another test which I'll do tomorrow so I'll just have to see. Thanks for replying 😊

Fingers crossed. I really think that's far too dark to be an indent.

Ginghamize · 13/09/2021 22:06

I think that's a positive

Ckhw · 14/09/2021 07:05

Did you try again @ShoeBun77? It looked positive to me!

ShoeBun77 · 14/09/2021 07:45

Yes I did another test today, I've put the link to the picture below, if it works?

Its darker and pinker (hard to pick up in a photo as it's so dark this morning!) But I've been here before in July and August, so can't get excited 😢

They both look positive to me.

Ari202 · 14/09/2021 07:55

They both look positive to me too

ShoeBun77 · 14/09/2021 08:04

Thank you all so much for replying. Its been a stressful 2 months with the past 2 chemicals so as hard as it is, I'll just have to wait it out and hope 🤞

Keeping fingers crossed for you xx

ShoeBun77 · 15/09/2021 07:43

So I've done another FRER this morning which I think looks a bit lighter than yesterday's, it's certainly no darker which it should be. I'm thinking it's probably another chemical, but given this will be the 3rd in 3 months, does anyone have any experience of why this keeps happening? My age? Have had initial bloods with GP which shows I'm ovulating and not pre menopausal?

I think that looks a bit stronger actually. I'd say that was positive?

Janefx40 · 15/09/2021 08:38

Hi @ShoeBun77 I'm sorry to hear about your chemicals. I think your lines look fine for 13dpo. Mine didn't start properly getting darker until 15dpo and beyond. Best of luck getting through the next few days and fingers crossed that this is a sticky one

Xxx

Pickuptruck · 15/09/2021 08:44

I think congratulations are in order Smile

Mamamamasaurus · 15/09/2021 10:04

The last link doesn't work for me but the second link looks good and like it has colour

Please don't rely on line progression though, hormonal concentration varies and it isn't indicative of a progressing pregnancy. Obviously I wish you all the luck in the world, there's just no point spending money on lots of tests when they don't give an actual picture of what's happening

ShoeBun77 · 15/09/2021 14:56

Thanks all for your comments. I think being through what we've been through the last few months has made me a bit paranoid. When I had my DS 11 years ago I got pregnant first time and sailed through the pregnancy. Obviously I'm now 11 years older and it's not been so easy. Keep thinking I've left it too late and that's why I'm having issues with chemicals, but then I also keep telling myself: what's meant to be, will be ❤

OP posts:
Noodella18 · 15/09/2021 17:20

I think that looks a bit darker tbh. Remember that the lines changes colour a bit when it dries too. Also remember that hormones are supposed to double every 2 or 3 days, so really you're looking for progression from 13 - 15, which there definitely is. Fingers still crossed for you!

ShoeBun77 · 15/09/2021 17:36

Thank you! 🤗

Have taken another test today. I know taking a test every day won't affect the outcome, but the line is definitely not darkening, I think it is a little lighter today for sure, and if you compare todays with Tuesdays it's lighter. They definitely aren't getting darker. I'm assuming this is another chemical?

@ShoeBun77

Mine looked exactly like yours and I too had, had a previous chemical. I just ignored it and decided it was another chemical. I left it a couple of days and it was bright.....I'm now sat next to my 2yo!

I'll see i can find mine for you so you can compare, I have all sorts in my photos so the chances are it's there.

Wishing you the best, it's so hard isn't it.

I have everything crossed for you that it works out.

Thanks
