@Babyghirl not really; it's still early so I'm hoping I get some. Having quite a bit of brown spotting though so not feeling too hopeful.

itssquidstella · 13/09/2021 13:47

Ugh that made no sense. What I mean is the spotting hasn't stopped so I'm starting to think it's a bad sign (subchorionic haematoma?) rather than just implantation bleeding.

Babyghirl · 13/09/2021 14:01

@itssquidstella
Fingers crossed implantation bleeding for you if I have not started properly by tomorrow going to test 💚

Spotsmama · 13/09/2021 18:12

Evening, I have a phone call appointment with my GP tomorrow. I would really like to be referred for early help/support such as scans. I want to also ask for regular hcg bloods as I don't want to get to 12 weeks again to be told at the scan the babies heart stopped. Worst moment of my life! Also want to ask to check my progesterone levels.
I'm also a vegan, I think my diet is very balanced an I'm very healthy but I'd like some reassurance - my iron etc is normal. Can you think of anything else I could ask or bring up. This is my 4th pregnancy and I can't bare to go through another mc so want to do everything I can. Totally a nervous wreck and expecting to see blood at every bathroom visit. I have no symptoms either which isn't reassuring me. If I go from my last period(7th Aug) which was a cp I'm 5 weeks 3 days. I had a peak ovulation 23rd August if they go by that date.
Any suggestions would be wonderful. Thabk you x

H0peing · 13/09/2021 18:26

@SunnySideUp2020 sorry AF arrived xxxx

H0peing · 13/09/2021 18:38

@Spotsmama I was told by a midwife that early scans from 5 weeks onwards are more helpful than hcg levels as levels can vary considerably even in healthy pregnancies so can cause unnecessary worry. I've been told by a midwife that 5 weeks is usually the earliest that they can see anything on a scan. I personally found hcg levels at around 4 weeks helpful, although as there's a waiting time involved for the results, it can be quite scary waiting for the results. I recommend having someone who's close to you near if you receive hcg results. I hope it is helpful with your GP. Xx

Spotsmama · 13/09/2021 18:47

Thank you @H0peing, I'll maybe not ask for regular hcg then if it's not consistent. No need for added worry. I'm hoping they will suggest a scan next week if possible.
I'm just after a magic wand I think that doesn't exist. Thanks for the advice x

Babyghirl · 13/09/2021 22:36

@spotsmama
Ask for progesterone and to be put in touch with a gyno for early pregnancy good luck.
🍀

Babyghirl · 13/09/2021 22:38

Well deffo my period a weired month never spotted like that before a period and early on cd22 lol, fingers crossed for nxt egg 🙏🤞🍀💚

Equimum · 14/09/2021 09:50

spotsmama I have everything crossed that they willingly give you extra scans etc. Having been through the trauma of no heart beat at the 12 week scan, I really think you need it. Good luck speaking to them.

Sorry your period arrived Babyghirl. Fingers crossed for next cycle. How is that dog of yours?

I'm ticking along. We didn't try thins cycle, so just hoping AF will be in time bad we can move into a cycle of trying. Although we Disney exactly plan this, I think the month off has been just what I needed. Currently not sleeping much due to pup, but feeling a bit more in an even keel than I was before.

Equimum · 14/09/2021 09:53

And congratulations itssquidstella. Have you spoken to the fertility team since you BFP. If not, I definitely would. I have everything crossed for you.

Babyghirl · 14/09/2021 10:17

@Equimum
She doing grand getting really fat thou lol, on ward and upwards for me on to nxt cycle got a scan today then an app with my rmc consultant tomorrow so fingers crossed 💚

PeanuttyButter · 14/09/2021 11:38

Sorry AF came @babyghirl good luck with the scan, and appointment tomorrow!

I've had a rough morning, so no nausea for 2 days. Bit of spotting at the start of the weekend. Woke to brown this morning with bits in (tmi) and cramping all in my back. Had a poo and this brought on fresh red blood with it.
Anyways fast forward couple of hours I've been scanned and saw the little heartbeat. Baby was measuring behind where I thought but the sonographer wasn't concerned. She's getting in touch with consultant to see if she can get some progesterone prescribed for me. Has advised me to keep it easy.
Another scan book for 2 weeks time.
I'm exhausted with emotions.

Babyghirl · 14/09/2021 11:48

@PeanuttyButter
Hoping they give you the progesterone and everything settles awful to try and get your hands on that gs. Like I know in America all women get it well what I have read on anyway. 💚

itssquidstella · 14/09/2021 12:16

Thanks @Equimum! I’ve got a scan booked with the EPU on the 27th when I'll be somewhere between 6+0 and 6+2.

I’ve got a private prescription for heparin/clexane on order but I should probably contact the recurrent miscarriage clinic too...

itssquidstella · 14/09/2021 12:17

@PeanuttyButter keeping everything crossed for you - seeing a heartbeat is a good sign, at least :)

EmiGoiko · 14/09/2021 13:31

@itssquidstella congrats on your bfp. I'm crossing everything for you. Bleeding is considered normal in early pregnancy so fingers crossed just implantation.

@Spotsmama I really hope you get your scans. Also had an mmc and it is just awful. I don't know why it is so difficult sometimes to get the early scans, it makes me so mad. I have a private one booked for Thursday as epu wouldn't scan me 😔

@PeanuttyButter sorry you've had such a stressful time. You must be exhausted. Seeing a heart beat is a good sign. I'm crossing everything for you. Say strong and definitely get some rest.

@Babyghirl sorry to hear your period came.

27DONFIN · 14/09/2021 14:40

Sorry guys just catching up

@ELM7 I'm so sorry for your loss. How are you coping? Have you had any results from genetic testing?

Congratulations to those recently with Bfp

@Babyghirl good luck with your scan today xx
