TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)

Mad scramble from the opposite side of the country to where I normally live to keep the bus running as @minster2012 still has connectivity issues. I'm on holiday in Suffolk with only limited signal so very likely to have missed people, particularly any newbies - it's not personal, I'm very sorry and in exchange I won't charge you for the ticket!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies...let's hope this one has more BFPs and more house luck!

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

The price of your bus pass is an embarrassing story please, doesn’t have to go be TTC related but can you beat breaking a guy’s banjo in a BJ or whilst DTD?! 🤞🏻🙌🏻

And if you see mention of minster's blog then blame the ladies on the thread but @minster2012 needs to carry on with it...although has a lot on her plate at the moment! #shamelessplug

minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens

@Lexber so sorry for the bfn, sending hugs x

@Clairey844 lovely news!! Congratulations! Glad to hear you're both doing well❤️

@Franklydear have a lovely time away, you deserve it!!x

So OH is away at santapod this weekend he left yesterday afternoon, got a phone call from him last night saying he took his caddy down the drag strip, Jesus Christ😂 apparently he had free beers all day from people who loved it so sounds like he's having a good time! He isn't back until tomorrow late afternoon though and I hate being in the house on my own especially at night! Went for a curry with friends last night though and just going to do some shopping today and clean bits of stuff ready for the house pictures being taken on Tuesday! Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday❤️

Lexber · 07/08/2021 11:07

I knew wasting a test would bring on AF! 🤣🤣

Onto Cycle 5 - CD1

Franklydear · 07/08/2021 11:11

@Lexber always the way.... hugs

Lexber · 07/08/2021 11:14

It's all good hun, atleast I know now. Plus with a sneak up peak I wasn't sure if we covered enough before hand as it was all on the day and after mainly. So this month I will make sure I wear him out the first 2 weeks post AF just to be sure... 🤣🤣🤣🍆

Justanothercyster · 07/08/2021 11:23

Just found you all! Sorry I'm currently on holiday from hell so haven't had a chance to check up on everyone. Here's my copy and paste from other thread for anyone interested in my moan:

Im going to sound like a right snob now but we're on a campsite in dh's parents camper van, it's been raining constantly and the van is now leaking onto our bedding. We've only been here since Tuesday and I feel so bad because the in laws have done everything to try to make me comfortable, but I've just had enough now and can't get dh to actually leave.
The toilets are a long walk (up a hill) away, and they've given me a toilet bucket thing to use but it's just so horrible, you ladies know how often baby makes you need a wee.
The place we're staying is called Padstow, which to anyone who knows is always crammed full of people, so im not comfortable going there because of covid. They come here every year, why? It's beyond me because it's the most boring place ever. We haven't done any of the day trips ive wanted to do because no one can seem to get ready in time to leave early enough for it to be worth going anywhere.
Ive told dh that ive given it a go and it's just not for me, I'm not comfortable, feel dirty all the time, and can't sleep at all, and the van leaking is just my breaking point.
I feel awful because dh wants to enjoy time with his family (who we see all the time anyway), but I can't take the car and leave him here (too scared to drive up the massive hill out of the campsite and on the lethal motorways, and can't leave him here alone), a train home will cost me £75 which I just don't have right now.
Oh and the cherry on top, on Thursday dhs parents were supposed to be looking after the dog whilst I had a nap because I'm exhausted, he got into their tent and ate paracetamol, we had to rush him to the vet who pumped his stomach and put him on IV anti poison meds over night and all day yesterday, and cost us £600. Luckily our insurance is good but it's just like, what else could go wrong??
Oh and on top of everything, the tarpaulin on the side of our tent has collapsed because of the rain, and drenched all of towels and chairs...
Sorry I sound like an awful prissy b* but I just can't anymore, and feel trapped and not really sure what to do. Maybe writing it all down will help...

Franklydear · 07/08/2021 11:31

@Justanothercyster oh I don’t blame you at all, that’s too much to put up with even if not pregnant

larrythelizard · 07/08/2021 11:58

Back home from holiday and to real life now. On load three of washing, been to the gym, blah blah blah...

@Dollybird89 sounds tough having to make all those decisions on your own.

@Lexber @Franklydear sorry your bodies are being fuckboys.

@Franklydear is it worth having bloods at the GP to check levels? Even if you don't intend to do anything invasive I always think information is power.

@feliznavidad2 well yes always yes to pancakes!

@Clairey844 yay hi baby Lennie 💙💙💙

Sounds a lovely day @bez91, enjoy the family!

@Kirky658 probably Braxton Hicks, I got them on and off from about 33 weeks. First time I panicked, packed my hospital bag and rang the advice line. Shitbag child didn't show up until 41+6!

Oh @Justanothercyster bless you that sounds horrible. I am not a camper at all. Can you try and get out and do some decent day trips with just DH? Easier said than done I know, my family insist on doing EVERYTHING together, it's very stressful! How much longer are you meant to be there?

OP posts:
Dollybird89 · 07/08/2021 12:03

@justanothercyster I've been Padstow before with my parents years ago, we turned up to the campsite which was shocking, had a quick drive to town and it was awful so we packed up and left and buggered off to Scarborough 🤣 hope your pooch is ok! X

Thanks to all of your support ladies, dad's in agreement to go care home now so that's the plan! Just waiting on social now. Oh let me play with an axe yesterday and boy was it fun... Get to do some log splitting later ... Those logs are gonna be pictured as certain people's faces 🤣🤣

paintfairy · 07/08/2021 12:08

@Lexber sorry about AF.
@Franklydear yeah that doesn't sound right really? I always spot for ages before AF but if it's not normal for you?
@Justanothercyster Jesus christ. Sounds horrific. I would have had a meltdown ages ago.
@Clairey844 Congratulations! 🥳 Excellent news.

Franklydear · 07/08/2021 13:08

@larrythelizard @paintfairy yeah, I think it warrants a call to the doc, I have my records for the last two years and af is always different from just this spotting thing to 4 days of heavy flow, the cycles are normally ok in number of days, but... anyway spotting again, not even wearing a pad but if I rammage a little bit, it comes bright red, so it’s just inhospitable womb, right?
@Dollybird89 the axe playing sounds good! Hope you manage to resolve your dad situation, I’ll be so much better

Justanothercyster · 07/08/2021 18:52

@Franklydear @Dollybird89 @larrythelizard Thanks ladies, he was all prepared for us to leave but I felt guilty so going to see if I can stick it out a bit longer. Won't be so bad if it stops raining every day.
As it happens we had a nice day in some gardens today so that was a positive. I'm so not cut out for camping, dreading that bloody van and bucket tonight 😖
It's our third wedding anniversary tomorrow so we're going to have a day trip just us and the dog which will be nice 🤞🏼

Haiyaa · 07/08/2021 19:00

Thanks for the add, sorry I’m so late jumping on but I’ve been reading and can’t believe we are so short of BFPs at the moment 😞

I’m just quietly bricking it as have 12 weeks scan on Tuesday and have had cramping today so worried we might get bad news but not a lot to do about it with scan coming up so soon.

Hoping for a bumper August, sorry for the AF/BFN’s.

@Clairey844 congratulations 🥳 lovely news, I can imagine you are incredibly busy at the moment!

larrythelizard · 07/08/2021 19:08

Ah I knew there was another scan coming up but couldn't remember who, pleased you've reminded me @Haiyaa, could just be everything stretching out to make room 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Nothing to report here, FW week is a go so another egg being wasted 😩. Have decided not to wait until end of probationary period though, so only have to wait to Feb (assuming things all OK), maybe Jan depending on dates of ovulation etc which doesn't feel as bad!

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 07/08/2021 20:13

Hey ladies. I've been following sorry not connected much, hope you are feeling ok @Franklydear we'll be here for that extra test next week if AF hadn't come along properly

@Haiyaa cramping could def be very good, snuggling and stretching

@larrythelizard and dong forget your boss seems v supportive so it's not long

@Justanothercyster OMG you gotta get outta there. Just the dog situation would make me say that was it let alone getting dripped on. What?!

@Dollybird89 yessss you go girl on getting dad sorted, it's the best move & if he's on board with it that's brilliant

@Clairey844 OMG congratulations!!! Lennie 🥰gorgeous. How was the birth??!! Dare I ask 😆

@paintfairy I also feel like I've spent the past 2 years in hospital with TTC tests/procedures/waiting and it takes a lot of head space. It's really draining, but ivf is worth a shot, you pay your taxes let's see if you get a baby back 🙌🏻🤔

@Lexber damn that sneak peak 😜sorry BFN/AF

@Sunbird24 it's your scan too isn't it? 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@LeeTTCRainbow welcome to the gang! 🌈

Well I've def fucked my knee (also hence silence), we think I've torn my ACL again. Not quite sure what to do bout it & don't want to take ibruprofen. I can walk on it but it's swollen & can't straighten it right then every now & then as I'm walking I get a shooting pain & im sent to the floor in agony. Bugger

Minster2012 · 07/08/2021 20:14

Ps thank god it's my left knee & I have an automatic car else I'd be reallly screwed. I still managed to drive to get a big fat Chinese for myself & chips/sausage for X. Does anyone else have a fish & chip shop that's also a Chinese??? Both are AMAZING so it's a great combo 🤪

Kirky658 · 07/08/2021 20:25

@larrythelizard thanks, think it is BH as they aren't constant and aren't that painful just irritating!
@justanothercyster glad you've had a better day today, hope you have a lovely anniversary day tomorrow!
@minster2012 ouch to the knee!!!!

Manifestingbaby · 07/08/2021 20:40

@kirky658 was tormented with BH for months! My nerves were shot 😅

@Minster2012 oh that's a pain, literally. How does that heal? Is it a time thing or needs treatment?

Sorry about bfn @Lexber.

@paintfairy I saw this thread and thought you (and possibly others) may find it useful...
Your experiences of ivf? - www.mumsnet.com/talk/conception/4316678-Your-experiences-of-ivf

becarefuloutthere · 07/08/2021 20:56

@Haiyaa really hope all goes well on Tuesday, every twinge is a worry isn't it! Mines on weds 😬
@Minster2012 ouch to the knee, hope it heals up soon! ♥️

paintfairy · 07/08/2021 21:00

@Manifestingbaby link doesn't work? Was it horrendous? Don't tell me they've deleted it already? 🤣
@Minster2012 yes you are right! Been paying taxes all my life. So it's not free is it? And you are entitled! It is draining though. I do not know any combined Chinese/chip shops. The knee doesn't sound good though!
@Franklydear definitely worth quizzing the GP i think.

Minster2012 · 07/08/2021 21:01

@Manifestingbaby I've had 2 operations to repair it in the past (after tearing it on my first day skiing on our honeymoon) 😩& it's still a bit dodgy but they said "that's as good as we can get it 🤷🏼‍♀️" with an actual shrug. So I don't know if ultimately another op to stitch it back together 🤦🏼‍♀️I'm just off to dr Google

Franklydear · 07/08/2021 21:22

@Minster2012 leave doctor Google alone, or it'll end up being radiation poison or something, see if they can do some more magic with it
Well, I had a tiny bit of spotting Today, didn't even wear a pad, but it's all gone, still having pulling cramps and big sore boobs, so none the wiser, will test next week, and call the gp for a chat after, in case the bloody change is rearing its ugly head

Manifestingbaby · 07/08/2021 21:24

@paintfairy sorry about the broken link but it's still there in the conception section. Not horrendous at all. People have shared their experiences, varied. It's insightful.

@Minster2012 hope you can get some help 😬

paintfairy · 07/08/2021 21:32

@Manifestingbaby I'll go hunt for it!
