TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)

Mad scramble from the opposite side of the country to where I normally live to keep the bus running as @minster2012 still has connectivity issues. I'm on holiday in Suffolk with only limited signal so very likely to have missed people, particularly any newbies - it's not personal, I'm very sorry and in exchange I won't charge you for the ticket!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies...let's hope this one has more BFPs and more house luck!

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

Your dr is a moron. 🤣 I went for a scan at the hospital on day 13 the first time (just happened to be that day- they were checking for issues so any day was OK) and I'd already ovulated prior to that. So i must be a miracle. Usually for me it's day 12, but I knew that.

I actually went for my acupuncture tonight. She asked how long my cycle was. Then asked if I get any ovulation symptoms and then said am I right in thinking you ovulate day 12ish? Yep! So how your dr doesn't know that is somewhat disturbing. 🤣

Agree on the 4 day scans! Very weird.....

4D scans even! Bloody autocorrect.

@2020mission I've got visions of your sonographer going "hey baby here's your close up!" 🤣hmmm on the decor let me think 🤔maybe the chicken tiles from the 90's??? Or the cupboard under the stairs with paper on the doors, or the lighthouse tiles?? It's a tough choice 🙈

Does this hour count as midnight rambles? I woke up half hour ago and damm me if I can go back to sleep, and tomorrow I have soft play after work, the autism association books the hall for the kids, so we are taking ds and his friend, he is so funny, I prefer to play with my own (austistics) hence conversation that neurotypicals are not so bad and he has a few as friends....

I'm also a 4d scan phobe 🙋🏼‍♀️

@Franklydear usually 30/31 days for me. Not long for your answer although agree the waiting game makes those few days feel like 193595969 billion.

@Vil10 My OV days sits anywhere from CD 13 this month, to CD 15 -16 usually. Day 14 my eye.

Thank god its FRIDAYYYYY. This week has gone on forever. Any good plans for the bank holiday weekend?

I could ov anywhere from day 16- day 54 🙈 to not at all... when I got my bfp it was a miraculous cd16 for me.

Id say the 4d experience is very different when it's your own as you can see such a likeness to you and oh. It's very cute. As a prior anti-4d, id say it's worth it- don't knock it till you've tried it!

@Minster2012 I was just thinking i like chicken tiles. Then I got to the lighthouse ones and they are amazing! 🤣 I'm with @Franklydear - you need to keep them!
The acupuncture i did go to specifically for fertility, but obviously she does everything. So she put needles in for that and for my arm too. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but it was ok. Whether it works I've no idea but I thought it was worth a go.

@Minster2012 I'm just baffled how she can say all women ovulate on CD14!! Balloon arches are the devil, i managed it and it actually looked pretty good, but I hate doing them!!

@2020mission exactly!! Would love to know other doctors take on it! Yeah definitely less pressure now, which I think will relieve some stress we've both been feeling!

@paintfairy isn't she!! An absolute moron!! Yeah I ovulated CD16 this cycle!

@Silver31 that solves it, my doctors a dick! We're at my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary so tomorrow day then might go to a few local pubs for a few drinks then in Manchester on Sunday, then probably just a walk and pub grub on Monday! What's your plans??

@Vil10 what a bizarre dr you spoke to. I'm surprised she's allowed to operate knowing so little! I ov cd9-11, never ever made it to 14 as my cycles were never long enough! Her endo explanation sounds off too, please get a second opinion on that. When's OH SA results in? Great news on the house and well done on the ballon arch 👏🏾 I saw the pics, impressive!

Morning all. Does anyone here who had the Pfizer vaccine experience late periods after the second dose? I was fine after the first one, just wondering if the delayed/heavy period is a feature of the second dose and Google isn't being helpful.

On the green kitchens.. ours is painted apple green which is very pale, MIL has just had a new kitchen fitted and will be having lime green tiles! 🤦‍♀️

@Minster2012 Gloss pebble cupboards, dark grey stone worktops and we managed to convince her to have white walls.
8 weeks felt like a very long wait but I know lots have people have waited longer. I would say at least I know my body is doing what it’s meant to be doing but if I’ve learnt anything from this bus it’s that our body’s hate us and like to mess with our heads

@becarefuloutthere exactly what I thought!! Oh I'm definitely getting a second opinion! When I go for my bloods I'm going to speak to the nurse and ask her to book my next phone app with another doctor! Thankyou!! His SA is on the 9th so not far off! Oh god I feel your pain of the steps there, they're literally never ending, especially pregnant😂

@Somatronic glad it's not just me who thinks she's crazy! I haven't had the vaccine but a lot of people I know had delayed or no periods for a while after it, and from my experience when I had covid in may, my period after that was 8 days late and my one after that was 5 days early, so I think just the infection messed mine up!

So ladies who's OH's have had SA's I need help please, I don't know if I'm just being really thick but my mind just isn't getting this😂 so I know we can't have sex 2 days before he does his SA, but in the booklet it says this (I'll attach the pic), so it says it CAN occur up to 7 days before, but then on the chart, 7+ days before it's crossed?? So does this mean like days 8, 9 and 10 etc we can't have sex?? Just for reference his SA is on the 9th so please can someone just simplify it for me, like and SA for idiots and just tell me what dates what can and can't have sex starting from today😂😂 Thankyou!!

Ok @dmb91 the gloss and pebble sound nice, I think we need to reserve judgement on the lime til seeing!! 🤣and yeah 8 weeks does feel like forever but that's the start done and let's hope it will settle from now into a regular rhythm (or that it's not needed!) 🤞🏻

@Vil10 so the way I read it is not sex the day of SA and not the day before or the day before that. So SA on 9th so no sex on 9th, 8th or 7th. Fine before then. Interested to hear others thoughts 🤣😂

Yeah you can't really move without having to go up steps and my calves just won't do it anymore so I've been mostly in bed. Just ventured to the sun lounger now 🙈
Agree with the others just don't do it up to 2 days before and obvs the day of, you can do it afterwards that day if he's got anything left in him 😂

@vil10 it means you can't leave it any longer than 7 days or it will be too old but no less than 2 days or the swimmers will be too young. Think about it logically, there's no reason why DTD 8, 9, 10 days before would not be allowed yet 6 days before would be?

Got an email (well.. OH did) to say we've passed NHS eligibility and now it's up to the clinic to sort out funding. Had no idea it was a separate process? I wonder if it is this next bit that normally takes X amount of weeks and we've only just passed the preamble lol

@Juno231 I think each trust must be different as it felt more joined up for us. We were assessed, deemed eligible based on the criteria and then funding was approved 3 weeks later. Although they said approval could take 3-6 months for the particular hospital we went with, but that was a gross overestimation due to coming out of all the Covid restrictions and the delays they had caused.
