TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)

Mad scramble from the opposite side of the country to where I normally live to keep the bus running as @minster2012 still has connectivity issues. I'm on holiday in Suffolk with only limited signal so very likely to have missed people, particularly any newbies - it's not personal, I'm very sorry and in exchange I won't charge you for the ticket!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies...let's hope this one has more BFPs and more house luck!

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

@amy2503 aw hun just read further on, you are not annoying anyone. There are just a lot of us here that are frustrated with how slow things move so just want to encourage you and give you the benefit of our experiences with referral. If you are not ready that's totally ok, you do you. Sorry you are suffering with anxiety and I'm sure ttc doesn't help that xx

@Minster2012 we're on the 4th floor but still under 18 so it's best he double checks! Our mortgage broker was able to suggest a few banks that are starting to loosen their internal protocols on this stuff. I think Santander was another potential one. Yup ours has been let out since Oct last year - we had to get permission to let and with our bank that meant slapping on an extra 1% on top of our rate. Then our fixed rate expired in May and we weren't allowed to remortgage because of the EWS1 form so we've been paying a capital repayment mortgage on a variable rate PLUS 1%. Whereas if we go interest only the payment drops a full 1k which is mental.

I really hope we'll be able to sell it in the next 2 years so we can claim our double stamp duty back... Even with an early repayment charge on the mortgage I think we'd still get 12k back! Not to mention the equity we could have used for the renovations!

DS is around today so we went swimming this morning and I'm headachey this morning so not planning on going far, quite a nice cuddly afternoon with my boy @Minster2012

For some reason I'm always embarrassed to let DH know when I POAS. I have no idea why, probably shame at failing every single month so far. Anyway today I decided to be brave and suggest that we go buy a test because today is CD28 and I said I felt a bit nervous and he said not to bother testing because I'll only be upsetting myself.

So that's a great vote of confidence. I didn't react but I feel like slapping him now.

I never really tell DH anything @Somatronic. It's probably worth a conversation as to why what he said upset you though, I think it's important the men understand what's in our brains (to an extent...!!)

@somatronic omg my heart goes out to you with that one girl did you have nice knicks on under the circumstances to make the cushioned blow less impact on the dress split 🤣🤣 I’m gonna Bob it on at the weekend and do the sit down test for good measure! As for the POAS I never used to tell
Hubs much about it as I felt let down when the outcome was always negative and would spend so much on tests each month I got fed up with it with the sense of disappointment so I just scrapped that for now :’)

@minster2012 thank you darling! Had a lovely conversation with my manager today who’s booked in a hour Tuesday just to do interview prep with me for Thursday although she said she doesn’t want me to leave but understands it’s the best interests if I do as I’ve never been much passionate in the area I work in and I’ve only been there 8 month 🙈 I’ll let you know when I test the sit down dress on the weekend, least if it happens to me on the day can give me a life time season ticket to this bus for the embarrassing story right? 🤣

@blackcurrantqueen I’d love some pointers if that’s okay with you! The area is mainly general oncology chemo with haemtology beds too :) so any insight I’ll be grateful as I have very little background on this 🥺🙈

@vil10 I’m sorry to hear about your dream house to be withdrawn just like that for you, it sucks 🥺😫😫 maybe a good drink with good company in Manchester will be the break you both need from the TTC life / house hunting just to feel some type of normality for you!
Sorry to hear about the horrible heavy AF being around the corner, maybe mention it incase they want to look into route causes of that maybe?

@amy2503 I did private tests before my 1 year TTC as my GP dismissed that I had symptoms of PCOS from coming off the pill 13 year.. and wallahhhh PCOS diagnosis from the fertility clinic and I’ve got the queen crown for the long cycle club being 113 days at the moment 👑but it allowed me to be referred to the clinic before 1 year :)

it’s about the only thing I can contribute to at the moment it’s next Thursday at 10AM my manager is giving me 2 hours off work paid to attend which is kind of her, I’ll keep you all posted but it’s an area I’ve always wanted to work in since qualifying 5 years ago 🥰🥺

@Juno231 yes the cladding fiasco, banks and everyone doing it to cover their arses. I'm overseeing a cladding inspection programme atm, all under 18m so not necessary but again an arse covering exercise spending hundreds of thousands of pounds!

Well not you 🙈, we kinda have plans, well we know what we want to do but only half know how to do it and only know what the upstairs might look like. No idea on downstairs and no idea on how to "mesh" it together and give the house an identity as it's 1950s with no identity IYSWIM it's not "Georgian," or "farmhouse" or "modern" so what kind of extension/new layout would work? So we need help with that...any help gratefully received 😬🙌🏻what kind of place are you doing the cladding project on?

Still sitting this month out; no temping or OPKs. No idea where I am in my cycle and it’s bloody lovely! My boys (7&5) convinced me to go on a bike ride with them today - my poor muscles!

@Minster2012 no I didn't bother saying anything to him in the end. I don't have any tests and probably won't buy any. I decided to go to my parents' house on the other side of the country on my own tomorrow cos I'm fed up being in the city when I could be on the beach enjoying the hot weather so I'll try to forget about it and wait for AF to show up. It may be late due to the jab so I'll only test if it's a few days late to stop me getting too hopeful.

@larrythelizard I did mention them to another gp about 8 months ago and suggested maybe end but they said unless I'd been trying for a baby for a year they couldn't test for that, so I'm going to suggest that this morning! That's a good idea and definitely something I need to work on!

@Somatronic I rarely tell OH anything either, I've told him a couple times when I was late that I'd taken a test but otherwise I don't say anything or talk about opks or anything, I just feel it's less pressure!

@kaylsd you're right, now some of the house stress has settled I am looking forward to going out, just hope and doesn't ruin it for me! I'm definitely going to mention it, I struggled with them years ago too before I was even on the pill! Awww your doggy, so so cute and happy!

Well we had 6 more viewings on the house last night, and all seemed very keen so waiting on some official offers today, 2 of them also said they wouldn't mind waiting to move in and the longer the better for them because they can save up, so obviously that would be amazing for us, I wanted a last Christmas here so that could work out well with us waiting to find a house too!!
