TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)

Mad scramble from the opposite side of the country to where I normally live to keep the bus running as @minster2012 still has connectivity issues. I'm on holiday in Suffolk with only limited signal so very likely to have missed people, particularly any newbies - it's not personal, I'm very sorry and in exchange I won't charge you for the ticket!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies...let's hope this one has more BFPs and more house luck!

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

The price of your bus pass is an embarrassing story please, doesn’t have to go be TTC related but can you beat breaking a guy’s banjo in a BJ or whilst DTD?! 🤞🏻🙌🏻

And if you see mention of minster's blog then blame the ladies on the thread but @minster2012 needs to carry on with it...although has a lot on her plate at the moment! #shamelessplug

minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens

If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

@Somatronic seems a good idea on escaping then, I think most of us feel the same bout testing/like it's us if it's negative (likely not the case of course we know it's actually not easy to get pregnant!) so I hope the time away does you good

@kaylsd I've only just realised I know another pup who looks just like yours also called Mabel! Course I have Mabel's scragglier older male cousin who talks with a Grimsby accent 🤣

@Vil10 come on house!! That's so hood this could be super Thursday for you! I'd be on tenter hooks (anyone else thought where the hell does that saying come from?). Be cautious of accepting an offer from ppl who say they'll wait because people will naturally always keep looking & offers like that have a much higher % fall out rate. Any offer accepted now you'll likely still be in at Xmas anyway so don't let that sway you ☺️

What else have ppl got going on? I'm on going back to old house today with my dad to take all big delicate things off the walls & transporting them across to new house so they don't get smashed by DH & his brothers moving big stuff at the weekend 😆 (TVs, big pictures). Just done ironing watching George Clarke renovations & really like a green kitchen 🤔

becarefuloutthere · 26/08/2021 08:49

@Vil10 you've got this girlie, don't you worry! Great news on the house front, I'm sure things will work out how you want.
@Minster2012 sounds like a productive day! Cute doggo pics 😍
We're chilling by the pool today and then off on a sunset cruise later, can't wait for some snorkelling and Greek bbq food 😋

Justanothercyster · 26/08/2021 09:04

Woohoo @Dollybird89 well done! 🎉🎉 finally things are looking up! And glad your dad is settling in ok x

@Minster2012 oooh I'm liking green too! Like a pastel one though.
We're just making the most of the end of the holidays, they've whizzed past! We're going to Southampton today for a 4d scan as I found a deal, so before that we're going to do a bit of shopping and have a nice meal :)

Franklydear · 26/08/2021 10:02

@Justanothercyster Southampton? You cannot be far from me then.... hmmm
@Minster2012 house good looking good , on the green kitchen, I think I would prefer a bold darker green, forest like
@Vil10 make sure you don’t get time wasters not in a position to actually buy when you get a we will wait offer

Cd 22 and nothing happening here, dh says that aureoles and nipples are bigger and darker, creamy cm, but nothing else happening so, to wait

Justanothercyster · 26/08/2021 10:59

@Franklydear we live in Fordingbridge New Forest :)

Silver31 · 26/08/2021 11:14

Well done @Dollybird89!!
I'm so pleased the story was good enough value to buy my ticket.
@Minster2012 I'm so down for greens in kitchen. I had a mad spree a few months back and painted mine emerald green. I love it - although DH had a shock when he came home and saw the previous country cream farmhouse kitchen had gone from that to wizard of oz 😂
@Vil10 fingers crossed sale all goes to plan 🤞
@Franklydear I see we're on the same CD count. So pleased it's not just my OH commenting on observed physical changes "your tits look massive". He's an eloquent soul. Not sure if this is making it better or worse for symptom spotting??
@Somatronic I've decided to keep my OH in the dark moving forward about dates / testing etc. We had an incident during peak OV where he was struggling to complete due to the pressure. Ignorance is bliss and all that

Somatronic · 26/08/2021 11:14

The weather here is amazing and I have no interest in working. I'm covering for my colleague this week and last week while she's on holidays so it's full on at work. Nearly the weekend though thank God.

kaylsd · 26/08/2021 12:35

@minster2012 I know the odds are definitely in my favour now I’ve got some insight knowledge or some background to focus on thanks to the kindness from @blackcurrantqueen and my manager! It’s literally the nicest thing she’s offered to do for me give me paid time off to attend and prep me on Tuesday with interview style questions, wonder if it’s because I’m one of those who doesn’t really go to her for much 🙈 For the dog front omg how bloody cute! I wonder if there’s some form of small print with any type of doodle dog that it’s a great name to call them 🤣 imagine it dogs talked in their owners accents, ours would be a mixture of broad barnsley / West Yorkshire, so would definitely use the phrases of Ase’ love tha gonna take me on a walk or wa? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m just at work today nothing too exciting but I have 3 days off after today so kinda got the Friday feelings on a Thursday!

@guesshowmuch how are you finding your month out? I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders when I stopped the BBT and testing 🥰

@vil10 I second @becarefuloutthere stance of that it seems classic endo symptoms so I would push for it, your making the right choice sweet :) but whatever the outcome of it we will be here and supportive as it might shove you in the right direction in the end where you need to be in your TTC journey :)

@silver31 I’m also all for the green vibe! Just currently knocking out my underneath stairs to fit a downstairs toilet and I’m fancying green and gold vibes for that 👏👏

@Somatronic wish it was nice where I live, feels quite cold today as I've got my nurse fleece on today 🙈

bez91 · 26/08/2021 13:00

@Minster2012 ahh bit of a mish-mash with the house! I'm sure you'll come up with something that works. It's crazy how much a few layout tweaks can make your life easier. Cladding project is at work, generally care facilities and a few leaseholders but we're a nice landlord and will probably fund all the rectification work so no cost to leaseholders. Bit easier as we own the majority of them as a percentage

@becarefuloutthere chilling by the pool today get you - not jealous one bit!

Nothing exciting here, still studying my chart to work out if I've ov'd 🤦🏼‍♀️ madly busy with work but looking forward to a long weekend

larrythelizard · 26/08/2021 16:19

Love a smiley dog @kaylsd!

@Lexber definitely the shagging queen of this bus!

Sometimes I tell him things and he looks a bit taken aback @paintfairy. Going to be having discussions about sperm quality when we're away next week, he doesn't know it yet 😂😂😂

It's a fucking scandal @Vil10 it shouldn't really matter if you're TTC or not if you have debilitatingly painful periods! Sounds like great news on house viewings!

I love a coloured kitchen @Minster2012, green kitchen sounds good.

Sounds like paradise @becarefuloutthere!

4d scan sounds exciting @Justanothercyster - I can't remember, did you find out the sex?

You sound like a woman after my own heart @Silver31, I tend to vaguely mention decorating stuff to DH and then if he doesn't object it's like whoosh DONE!

I'm making the most of DS being off nursery this week and lots of time in the sunshine, little boat ride on the river earlier, paddling pool this afternoon! Got a bit of a stomach bug (caught from DS I think) so a gentle week is doing me wonders. Currently trying to work out if I'll feel up to the gym tomorrow morning or if I should cancel it!

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 26/08/2021 17:50

@Silver31 @larrythelizard I'm the same, I'm in total charge of the house DH gets a choice, as in I ask his opinion then if he doesn't voice a big objection I do it, so I know if he does object then he really doesn't like it! Love the sound of your kitchen @Silver31 that's the colour of the one on the programme, it was forest green & looked lush. DH has vetoed a pink kitchen 😭

@Justanothercyster I'm going to go against the grain with the 4D scan and say they freak me out a little...though I'm sure if it was my baby I'd feel differently, but wasn't fussed getting one with DS, dunno if the surrogacy made a difference with that

@bez91 honestly everyone who has come round the house so far has gone "Jesus there's no flow whatsoever the layout is AWFUL!" 🤣😭 that's great that you are able to improve things with the cladding at little costs for the leaseholders

@kaylsd well if you want any "recruitment" type /competency advice advice let me know. I was a headhunter, different sector but happy to help.

@Somatronic I hope you did very little work then!!

Totally jealous of @becarefuloutthere

@Vil10 did you get your offers???

I managed to NOT kill my parents today who were helping me move stuff. That's an achievement. Trust me.

Franklydear · 26/08/2021 18:40

@Justanothercyster oh, I am Brighton way, not that close then
@Silver31 he's now also trying to analyse what it means, it'll drive me crazy, how long are your cycles normally? mine about 24/25 days, so getting itchy
@Minster2012 celebrating not becoming a murderer 😂
On decorating and moving rooms, DH says to do what I want, cos I will anyway, not impulsive, me, no ...

Fucking buses are running awfully cos of accidents and it's making me so late home all week 😭

kaylsd · 26/08/2021 19:18

@bez91 here here to the long weekend 🎉🎉👏
@larrythelizard thanks sweet she's a cutie most of the time, the small 0.3 percent in her when we leave for work and she has separation anxiety and likes to drag whoever's left her last at homes shoe into her basket can be a nightmare each time when looking for shoes 👀 luckily she doesn't chew them she just moves them on protest 🤣🙈

@Minster2012 thank you for your offer darling it's much appreciated!

I'm gonna share this today because it's how I'm feeling, social media is the devil some days surrounded by gorgeous friends baby's, baby bumps & pregnancy announcements every time I'm clicking on today so I'm gonna limit myself on it for my sanity as today's been a rubbish day at work, I feel like I have high PMT from my non cycle life or I may just be a moody cow tonight the possibilities are endless🥺🤣

TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)
2020mission · 26/08/2021 19:20

@Minster2012 I'm with you there, the 4D scans I've seen from friends have terrified me 🤣 they seem to show what looks like random growths and bumps on the baby that aren't there. I got a photo given to me of a close up of our baby's nose/mouth from the NHS 20 week scan and it was scary enough haha. Looking forward to seeing more of your room redecorating Instagram updates. It definitely seems like you'll be kept busy for a while with the move and decorating.

2020mission · 26/08/2021 19:29

@kaylsd social media is so tough at times with it all! Definitely good to take a break for your sanity now and again. I've still not even shared our pregnancy news on Facebook or anything. I did see someone post a photo of her bump recently and she said along with it "I'm sorry if this hurts anyone and I held off until 25 weeks as this hasn't been an easy journey". It always helps to see those messages with the posts but I can understand most people don't want to put a downer on their good news or might be embarrassed to share details of their fertility issues with a wide group of people. I naturally always felt happier for anyone who posted with more than just "im pregnant woohoo!"

kaylsd · 26/08/2021 19:39

@2020mission I literally have all the respect for those kind of people for mentioning something like that as not everybody has to acknowledge the hardness of those posts but shows how much they are a kind soul to recognise it 🥰

have you thought of ways you'll share your big news will you take a similar stance or not really one for a social media announcement?

Don't get me wrong every pregnancy journey is unique and I'm not normally too sour about a social media announcement but I've found it's dependent on the people for me espesh from those who are from school era who like are on their 5/6th and they are really casual about it all 🙈👀

Vil10 · 26/08/2021 20:38

Hey girls, sorry for the late check in, today's been manic, it's my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary so whilst they were out with my mum and her sisters, me and my sister were decorating their house, assembling a balloon arch etc,

Two thing to update you on so first the house, we accepted an offer today, only a week after it went onto the market!! Quite a bit over the asking price, and to OH's friends uncle, who is also friends with our neighbour! He's currently living in a property he rents out so has said he's in no major rush to move in, and is happy for us to stay until we find something, as long as we don't start taking the piss obviously, so we're happy it's going to someone we know and someone who the neighbours will be happy with, and that we also have more time to find something!

Second, my phone app this morning, my repeat prolactin blood result was a lot better and now in range so that's good, the dr has said for me to book in on day 21 of my cycle for another progesterone blood test, she also said to me that all women ovulate 2 out of 3 months, which is interesting to know, however she also said to me "every woman ovulates on CD14" I said I don't and I know a lot of women who don't, her snotty reply was "well you must be the only woman on the planet who doesn't" ermm ok then, I mentioned about my periods being bad a lot of the time, she said usually women with endometriosis have some kind of fluid or something to do with their ovaries and something is highlighted in one of the bloods and on my scan and internal and my bloods everything looked good, she said with my periods being heavy on days 1 and 2 but then light 3-5 it sounds like I have a "strong womb", so suppose that's good? Said once OH has had his SA they will refer us!

Sorry for the mammoth catch up!! Hope everyone is good❤️

Franklydear · 26/08/2021 20:45

@Vil10 great on the offer, and the extra time to look
Should we take a poll on who doesn’t ovulate on day 15? Me one

Franklydear · 26/08/2021 20:46

14 even , still me one

Vil10 · 26/08/2021 20:47

@Franklydear hahaha what a ridiculous statement from her!! Me two

kaylsd · 26/08/2021 20:51

@Vil10 great news on the house offer and ideal situation too with it being someone you already know and your neighbours know! Win win really here's to the house hunt for you guys 🎉🥰
As for the CD14 statement, We must be a fixture of an anomaly then especially with my cycle history 👀 if only we were all text book cycles! Be a lot easier in life if we was!

Justanothercyster · 26/08/2021 20:54

@larrythelizard no we've kept it a surprise :)

@Minster2012 I was always like that, it was just because I found a good deal online we got one tbh, but it was pretty cool!

@Franklydear dh's parents live in Worthing so we're down that way a lot :)
And I don't ov then- mine was sporadic due to pcos

Minster2012 · 26/08/2021 21:02

Oooooo @Vil10 well I got my BFP on CD33 having had my day 21's taken on day 28 which confirmed ovulation so hmmmm. I'd give my right arm to be one of them day 14 ladies. But that's brilliant on the offer and the right person whoop whoop. But bloody hell I could have killed my balloon arches 🤣😆

@2020mission def find them scary, and you'd baby have you an up the nose close up 😆🤔, see that's not necessary! It's really good about that nod to infertility at 25 weeks, my cousin was the same and I know they had a horrendous time. The house might take a while 🤦🏼‍♀️gotta say goodbye to the last project first!

@kaylsd il with you on the moody cow status. I'm blaming it on fighting back the urge to kill parents.

@Franklydear itchy...like an itchy nipple symptom or itchy paint a room itchy! (I know why I'm just messing!)

Franklydear · 26/08/2021 21:06

@Minster2012 antsy maybe? Roll on a week, and find out either way, I am sick of this game

2020mission · 26/08/2021 21:19

I'm pretty confident I ovulated CD 11 when I conceived. My dating scan matched it and both BBT and OPKs showed that too. Total nonsense to say everyone ovulates on CD 14 🤨 when I was tracking over the months before, it varied each cycle between CD 10 - CD 15.

That sounds ideal on the offer @Vil10 and hopefully you will still see a good house soon but much less pressure now 🙌

@Minster2012 I think the sonographer was checking for any sign of a cleft lip and for some reason decided to use that view as one of the few prints 😅 just weird! Do you think you might get used to some of the 50s decor and keep it? haha
