@Kristinax I'm glad you weren't hit too badly by Covid. I had it back in January and I was off work for three weeks in total, it was pretty grim. I'm double jabbed now though so hopefully I won't have to go through that again! Sorry to hear you're having to self isolate in your TWW - what are you doing to pass the time?!
Thanks again for your kind words
it might sound a bit woo but I really do see children in my future, I can't imagine not being a mum, so I'm just focusing on that feeling as much as I can. Visualising really helps me.
My AF symptoms are getting stronger so we'll see whether she arrives next week. I splashed out on a fancy Clearblue digital for next week if I'm late. It's taking all my strength not to do it right now but I know it would be a pointless waste of money
Ahh the ol' 'when are you starting a family' question! I've been on the receiving end of that lately too. I am so conscious of not asking anyone this because A) not everyone wants children and that's totally fine and B) if they do, they might be struggling to conceive. So I only ever talk about it if someone offers up their experiences first. It can (understandably) be a really emotive topic. What do you say to people when they ask? I just say 'yes, hopefully one day!' because we're not sharing it with anyone at the moment.
@taytay2020 thanks for sharing your experiences of the jab, I've not spoken to anyone who has been late as a result but I'm wondering if it's because I had the Astra Zeneca and not the Pfizer? Who knows. It's all such new science so I guess there's still a huge amount they don't know about all of the possible side effects.
I know what you mean about forward planning. My husband and I really want to book a holiday for next year so we have something to look forward to. But by the time it rolls around our family could have increased in size! So we're holding off for a few months and then re-evaluating. What we'd really like to do is climb Mt Snowdon (something we've always wanted to do) but I can't imagine that being too easy either heavily pregnant or with a newborn
so perhaps we might opt for something a little less strenuous.
Yes I am hoping I'll calm down a bit too as it's exhausting thinking about TTC all the time. I think I need to get really familiar with my body, which is something I'm only starting to do as a 31 year old woman. I recently read Period Power by Maisie Hill which was ground-breaking, at least for me. Why don't they teach you this in schools?!
I hope you're all having nice weekends. I am so pleased the weather has cooled down a bit. I was not coping very well!
