Thank you! Wishing everyone on this thread luck, I'm sure we will all have our rainbow babies in the end.

@Babyghirl so sorry about your losses, crossing everything for you that this is your month. Seems like we are in the tww together! ❤

EmiGoiko · 08/08/2021 09:52

Urrg double post! It told me my first one hadn't worked! 🤦‍♀️

PeanuttyButter · 08/08/2021 10:27

I vent on here all the time, I don't even expect s reply most of the time but stops my poor DH hearing what I'm slowly starting to believe are the ramblings of a crazy lady haha
Just a continuous cycle of sadness, then hope, then stress of the fertile week, then anxiousness and the loss of control. Repeat.

EmiGoiko · 08/08/2021 10:43

Hahah. My husband is so sick of hearing about it. He hates me talking about it now and says we should just be positive. But I'm obsessed - I just don't think he gets it.

Totally get the loss of control thing. I've been trying all sorts in an attempt to feel like I'm doing something. I'm doing acupuncture and taking supplements from tthe it starts with the egg plan.

kiwi17 · 08/08/2021 11:05

Welcome @EmiGoiko! It's a horrid situation to be going through and I don't think it gets any less rubbish but at least we have each other to rant to! I don't think the men folk tend to understand quite how much it means to us and that we go through it all every second of every day because we are the ones experiencing all the physical stuff as well as the emotional side. Like I know my dh is gutted it's still not working for us but is able to think of other stuff whereas I seem to have a one track mind! I have a 3 DD who took 10 months of ttc but was straightforward pregnancy and birth and now ttc 2 but had a mc in march at 10 weeks and now struggling to get that bfp but recent blood tests said my prolactin was high so have another test in Sept to see if there is a problem there.

H0peing · 08/08/2021 12:03

Thanks everyone. Yes, it felt harder this time losing twins but, as we all know, any loss is extremely upsetting xx

I have an appointment with a gynaecologist on Tuesday at 3.10pm but I've just had a text to say that it's now a virtual appointment! Not sure why except they have recently examined me and said that my ovaries, uterus etc looked OK and my fibroid shouldn't be a problem due to it's small size and location so maybe they've physically examined me enough. Not sure. I've heard that they might offer me a laparoscopy to check for endometriosis but I'm a bit scared about having that. We want to keep trying again as soon as the bleeding stops anyway, unless they give me a good reason not to.

Does anyone have any advice about gynaecologist appointments? I've already had lots of tests but I will try asking for as many other tests as possible. Has anyone heard of any successful medication? Maybe I could ask for a prescription? Xx

H0peing · 08/08/2021 12:08

@Annny27 glad to hear that you had less spotting this time xxxx

H0peing · 08/08/2021 12:11

@Spotsmama a warm welcome to the group. I hope that your conversation with a GP on Monday will be helpful. After my 2nd miscarriage, my GP was able to offer me a small amount of tests and an ultrasound examination, which ended up being an internal one because they couldn't see enough externally. Maybe your GP can offer you some tests straightaway. Please let us know how it goes. Xx

H0peing · 08/08/2021 12:35

@EmiGoiko welcome and sorry for your losses. Your situation sounds a bit similar to mine in that my first pregnancy was uncomplicated with my now 5yo DS but I have had 4 early miscarriages (my 4th one was twins) in the last year (all before 12 weeks. The furthest along was one at around 8 weeks but they have usually happened at around 5 to 6 weeks). How old are you, if you don't mind sharing? I was 35 when I had my DS but didn't start trying for the 2nd child until I was 39 and I've recently turned 40 so my current problems could be largely due to my age, although I know that it unfortunately affects younger women too. I hope that you can get some help through your GP soon.

As other ladies have said, we will all get our Rainbow Babies. After what we have all been through, I am definitely hoping for lots of good news from all of us delivering healthy babies next year! Xx

EmiGoiko · 08/08/2021 13:48

@H0peing I'm nearly 36, I've also wondered if it is anything to do with getting older but then does seem to happen at all ages. It does sound like we have a similar experience. And I know lots of women in their 40s having babies so that's reassuring.

I don't have much experience with tests I'm afraid. Like you though, after the second one I pushed my gp for some standard blood tests and a physical exam. I'm on a referal waiting list for an ultrasound as I have been cramping on and off since April, not just on my period. But they haven't found any issue. I think the tests the gp can do are limited but at least rules some things out so @Spotsmama it's worth a try!

By the way has anyone else found they are tender and crampy in general months after miscarriage? I can't find anything online about it.

EmiGoiko · 08/08/2021 13:53

@kiwi17 sorry for you loss. I know what you mean, my husband just puts it out of his mind. But easier I guess when it's not your body!

Glad to hear that you are having more tests. I don't know much about prolactin and what that means but it's good they are identifying a potential issue and taking it seriously. Hopefully it's nothing but best thing is to know!

PeanuttyButter · 08/08/2021 23:07

@EmiGoiko I had a MMC in May and ive been constantly crampy since then. When I'm due on the cramps are horrendous to the point I can't function but no bleeding. Got an internal scan on Tuesday morning so will let you know what they say.
Currently CD 11 and had a peak opk this afternoon which is early for me pre MMC so we will see, personally I don't think my body is ready yet.
Where's everyone else at the moment

H0peing · 09/08/2021 11:06

@ELM7 How are you? I really hope that it's all going well! Xx

H0peing · 09/08/2021 11:07

@PeanuttyButter Peak opk is good! Hope your scan is really helpful. Xx

Spotsmama · 09/08/2021 15:05

Hi all, feeling a bit better today after lots of crying. I spoke with my GP this morning who was super helpful. She has asked I do another test and will phone me back tomorrow. If the test is negative she assume it was an early mc and will refer me to a specialist to investigate.
Tiny positive I can take from this is I might get answers.
Thanks for the support xox

27DONFIN · 09/08/2021 16:56

Hi Ladies

Sorry Iv been totally MIA for a while. Hope everyone is well. Hello to all the newbies and I'm sorry you find yourself here.

@Annny27 @Babyghirl @ELM7 @Nuggetlover27 how are you all doing?

Iv taken some time away and really relaxed let go of some of the consuming behaviour and feeling a lot better for it. However today I had my first hospital consultation which went fine all factual tbh and organising the next steps for us. This in itself has got me feeling a little anxious. I don't want to go backwards and be so consumed by it all counting down the month to appointments tests and procedures. Any advice?

Xx

Babyghirl · 09/08/2021 17:09

@spotsmama
Good your doc is helping you and hope you get some answers we r here when u need to vent xx
@27DONFIN
I just go with it and know if I don't get pregnant before my app I have them to fall bck on but I look forward to them but having them on ur side takes a weight of your shoulders and you do relax and enjoy your life again to a certain extent, but you will be grand xx

ELM7 · 09/08/2021 20:24

Hi Ladies sorry I’ve been MIA.

@H0peing I’m so sorry for your loss. Hope you are taking things easy.

@Annny27 sorry AF arrived hope she isn’t being a bitch.

@Babyghirl any idea when you will get your scan results from the other week?

@27DONFIN glad you are feeling better for stepping back from it all. Not sure on any advice other than to just go along with what ever they say and just think that it’s them that are controlling it so nothing you can do so don’t stress about it (so much easier said than done I know)

I am struggling to take my own advice on the don’t stress about it. Have had cramping on one side for the last couple of days and can’t stop myself thinking something is wrong. Trying to wait until 6weeks before getting in touch with EPU to see if they will do an early scan. However trying to time that with my Mum who has just found out she has breast cancer and will be going into hospital next week for an operation to remove the tumour and then I will be looking after her while she recovers. Haven’t told her as she’s got enough to worry about but can’t then have any appts/scans while im looking after her.

Babyghirl · 09/08/2021 21:01

@ELM7
So good to hear from you, so sorry to hear abot your mum and hoping that everything is good will light a wee candle on op day 🍀 the girl doing the scan said it was a heart shape uterus so just waiting now on consultant getting in touch to c if he wants a dye scan to c how bad it is or not how r you feeling 💚

ELM7 · 09/08/2021 22:04

Thank you @Babyghirl that is a lovely thought.

I went for an MRI scan (before this BFP) and had the results to say I haven’t got 2 uteruses at all but have got a bicornuate uterus (which they also call heart shaped) guessing I’ve got quite a servers dip in mine for the fact they originally thought it was 2 completely separate uteruses, so will be very interested to hear what your consultant says.

EmiGoiko · 09/08/2021 23:37

@PeanuttyButter that's interesting you've also had cramping mid cycle. My doctor thinks it is just my body adjusting to the trauma of it all. I took a month off trying so understand about not feeling ready. Hope your scan helps tomorrow.

@Spotsmama glad the GP helped, hope you start to get some more support from now on.

@27DONfIN that's great you feel better for stepping back. The ladies have given great advice so I hope some of it helps.

@ELM7 i'm so sorry to hear about your mum. It's easy to say, but try not to worry on your cramping. Cramping can be very normal in the early stages.

@Babyghirl hope it's not too long till you hear back from the consultant. Hope you are doing OK.

Babyghirl · 09/08/2021 23:44

@ELM7
Same as me then I prop be sent for a more indeath scan no doubt to c how bad mine is I have everything crossed this is ur rainbow baby 💚
@Emigoiko
Just trying to stay positive I know I will get my rainbow one day, how r you doing 💚

Babyghirl · 09/08/2021 23:47

@ELM7
Did they say anything about it causing miscarriages or not 💚

27DONFIN · 10/08/2021 07:39

@ELM7 I'm so sorry about your Mum she will be so glad to have you there for her. Do whatever you feel is best about telling her you will know when your ready. Xx
