@MIW01 great to hear you’ll be starting ivf in august! Will you be able to do icsi if the sperm isn’t so good?

@crazycatlady1981 I think that's what the consultant is alluding to but she told us they jist do a standard SA and go from there. But our COMET results I dicate very low chance of anything working. I was expecting to be really excited but tbh I am jist so disappointed by this whole process how they just don't seem to care about anything relevant, it really bugs me.

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker great news on your 13 eggs! Sorry about the sperm but ICSI should overcome that, it is just such a gamble with sperm it seems. I don't even know what my DH sample was like on EC day as they never said as we had to have ICSI anyway.

@MIW01 did they give you any advice to improve the fragmentation? All I have read is that Proxeed or other antioxidant treatment can help. I suspect my DH has poor fragmentation too but I don't think I really want to know at this point if there is not much they can do. He has a varicocele but the hospital said it was small so not worth worrying about (not sure I believe this though).

@Narwhal88 we need to wait for results to see if he has a Varicocele as his lifestyle is good. There is really very little more we can do to improve it. I already have him on every supplement under the sun but not tried Proxeed so will give that a go too.

@polejunkie you'll be fine try not worry 2 is a really good number I've heard of loads not having any fertilise x

@Sjhigs I know, just the attrition rates can be like 30-50% in some cases which doesn’t leave much to go by, I’m trying to be positive - fingers crossed, just lost 6 already ya know 🤷🏼‍♀️

@polejunkie positive vibes we only need 1 remember I'm trying not to think about it I'm just over the moon more than one of mine fertilised I've been a nervous wreck my numbers have always been so low the whole process for everything x

@Sjhigs yeah I completely agree, to have anything is fab, just anxiety inducing the whole way along isn’t it really - guess I’m trying to be prepared for the worst just in case x

@polejunkie yea I've been like that I think you just try to protect yourself I've always been convinced it wasn't going to work from the start so il get a shocker if it does x

@clolo there's definitely a connection between gum health, fertility and pregnancy! There's a lot of advice at there about getting your gums checked and looking after your gums prior to conception and throughout pregnancy

@polejunkie I have heard that the vaccine can slightly effect the swimmers but only short term

@MIW01 that's weird that they don't consider the test! Maybe it would be a good idea to speak to a specialist urologist like @thislittlebird is?

@clolo it's common for pregnant women to have bleeding gums so must be caused by one of the hormones they pumped you full with!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I’ve been crampy, like I’m still full of air - try not to worry! In the first day or two going for a wee hurt me x

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker ah sorry you're still feeling rough! I didn't work straight away. I had the day of EC off and worked the next day but did the bare minimum as I'm wfh.

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker don't be fooled I was in bed for 2days going to the toilet is uncomfortable for me too but I'm feeling much more normal today also are you on the progesterone gels now? They can cause cramps too. I was really uncomfortable last night trying to sleep but definitely think to night is going to be much easier xx
