We are back in business & trundling into summer with weight loss galore & hopefully some promotions! 🥳🥸 Yesss ladies though there’s quite a lot of injuries lately 🤒🤕so be careful, don’t fall off the bus!

Welcome to the knickerwatch brigade 👀be it for spotting spotting 🩸, Aunt Flo or even pesky progesterone leakage 💊even after BFP many of us here know the knickerwatch needs to be maintained so we operate a strict rotation policy of participants (partici 🩲maybe 🤗)

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest

The price of your bus pass is an embarrassing story please, doesn’t have to go be TTC related and nothing is TMI here so let’s hope the ride (bus not banging) doesn’t take long 🤞🏻🙌🏻

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens
& minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰
If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

@larrythelizard @Minster2012 @2020mission not all that senior but if I leave I'm half the UK team and the only one with in depth knowledge of the business so they would want to milk my notice period and it's unlikely I'd get gardening leave.

Minster re: the salary negotiations - I found out via the grapevine (from recruiters) what the range is and basically asked for the very top end of it. I have good arguments for pushing that number if they low ball me but 100% using the share scheme thing if I can - thank you!

@becarefuloutthere oh yes I did. About 20-30 years before I thought I would lol.

Juno231 · 16/06/2021 09:28

@vil10 omg yes do tell OH's best friend that! I'll be doing the same to my dad when it comes to it. Bumholes.

@bez91 what an unnecessary comment! I'm glad your OH left her on read.

becarefuloutthere · 16/06/2021 09:56

@bez91 yeah they know so I go for a viability scan in a few weeks time and if all gravy I graduate into the general populist! 🥳
@Vil10 that would bother me too. She sounds a bit of a knob to go on like that tbh!
@Juno231 you're never too old to shart it seems 😂
So glad you went in high and you know your worth! When do you reckon you'll hear back?

Lexber · 16/06/2021 10:03

Hey all hope you are all good?

Busy busy with work here, day 5 of AF and seems to have pretty I have done, another light one so hoping my body is back to normal post coil removal In March

I've caught up and will try and post properly later xx

Juno231 · 16/06/2021 10:13

@becarefuloutthere me too! I wasn't going to but asked three male ex colleagues for their opinion as I'd figure men are gutsier than women when it comes to this and they all said the top number so that helped me feel less grabby. How are your AF like cramps doing? How has OH been about it?

Juno231 · 16/06/2021 10:15

@becarefuloutthere oops forgot to respond - I should hear back before the end of the week.

Justanothercyster · 16/06/2021 10:33

@Vil10 I totally get your frustration, it's so annoying when people say things like that. Does she know you're trying?

Juno231 · 16/06/2021 10:49

@Justanothercyster how many weeks are you now my love - it still makes me smile seeing your name pop up!

@paintfairy how was last night - do you sleep okay or is it too painful

paintfairy · 16/06/2021 10:54

@Juno231 it's difficult to be honest. I struggle to get it at an angle where I'm comfortable. It's easier when I'm sitting on the sofa than in bed. 😫

becarefuloutthere · 16/06/2021 11:14

@Juno231 good going, defo not grabby hun! Glad you don't have to wait too long either.
They're still there but feel more fluttery now rather than painful. Yeah he's all good thanks.
@paintfairy ah so sorry hun, hope it gets better soon ♥️

DJmum83 · 16/06/2021 11:17

Thanks everyone.
@Juno231 1000% correct if this was my first I would have had no more.

@Minster2012 I'm on light duties at work only have 5 weeks left then they are suspending me on full pay as they can't find me work to do from home.
I'm not allowed to do strenuous excercise, have to prop myself up at night as when I lie down it's awful I think I'm taking a heart attack.
They say 90% of people have an ectopic heartbeat but only 10 can feel it.
It makes me jump and I cough just horrible.
But once she is here if it doesn't go away as it might just be pregnancy that brought it on they will put me on beta blockers.

Thanks for all your well wishes. Xxx

Somatronic · 16/06/2021 11:25

@DJmum83 I'm sorry to hear what you've been going through. Do they still think it's thyroid related?

Vil10 · 16/06/2021 11:42

@Juno231 absolutely do! I hope they feel really awkward too when we can say that to them!

@becarefuloutthere you have a great judge of character😂

@Justanothercyster she doesn't know, only 2 people do, but she's a childrens nurse so feel like she should have the mental capacity to not say stuff like that, after easily having 3 herself🤔 maybe I say to her "so you know when you were rubbing it in how fertile you are, yeah that was a dick move" 😂

@DJmum83 sending hugs x

bez91 · 16/06/2021 12:07

@Vil10 that's really frustrating from your cousin. We were lucky with DD, I know that and always make it very clear when people ask just how lucky we were to conceive with no issues seemingly quickly.

@becarefuloutthere fantastic, I wondered if it was a thing that your darent tell them until post OTD 😆

CD16, really intense cramping like AF cramps but never have them like this so possible ov, maybe it's a big egg 🤷‍♀️

Sausage1990 · 16/06/2021 12:48

Hi girls
Sorry to just jump on an mot contribute properly. I know I've been MIA and didn't reply to you after my last update, and I'm so sorry. It's all just been alot but I've thinking of you all. Im sorry to be that girl who just pops up with her own stuff and doesn't support others but those of you who know me, know I will be back to be your cheerleader once I'm mentally & emotionally able. I just wanted to drop in with another update for those who have supported me on this journey so far.

We had our telephone appointment with the consultant from the reoccurring miscarriage clinic this morning and I was suprised to learn she had already received the results from the genetic testing on baby that was sent off.

They found that baby had 1 chromosome missing. Specifically the X or Y was missing so baby only had 1 X chromosome.

It's called Turner syndrome. Some babies can grow up as adults, but they're usually not as tall, and have problems with their heart, liver, ovaries, can have no periods or short periods which often results in infertility. However most babies with Turner Syndrome don't survive pregnancy.

I found online that losing a child to Turner Syndrome during pregnancy is more common than having a child survive with Turner Syndrome. There is no known cause for this condition & unfortunately it cannot be prevented. Turner Syndrome is a spontaneous and random error that leads to a missing X-chromosome in the sperm or egg of a parent.

Only about 1-3% of pregnancies in which the fetus is diagnosed with Turner Syndrome result in live birth; these babies are miracles, defying all odds.

15% of confirmed pregnancies that end in miscarriage are babies with Turner Syndrome.

This also means that baby was a little girl but she was too poorly to grow anymore.

I will still have all the other tests too, to rule out other cauaes of miscarriage. Theres no way if knowing if this syndrome is what caused the other losses. She said it doesn't necessarily mean all the losses are caused by this, just that this pregnancy was. So we're still having the rest tested and then will have follow up in August with the results. In the meantime we need to get ourselves as healthy as possible, on Dr's orders.

I feel so overwhelmed & upset by all of this and tbh i didn't expect to have any genetic issues as so many people don't. It feels like I'm experiencing all the heartache & pain of the miscarriage all over again. It is good to have an answer but as its not preventable it just breaks my heart. If anyone has had experience of this and gone on to have a healthy baby, or knows of someone who has, please let me know. I'd be grateful for any reassurance as I'm currently feeling so upset & helpless.

Sending so much love to you girls. I'm Sorry im a take, take, take with the support right now. I do appreciate you all so much. Xx

Juno231 · 16/06/2021 13:07

@Sausage1990 firstly don't apologise for popping in every now and then - we're all here for you and totally understand you're doing what's best for you.

They say 70-80% of miscarriages are due to chromosomal abnormalities so you're perfectly average so to speak. I'm not sure what the other 20-30% even could be, I'd totally be expecting a genetic error in the embryo.

Lots of hugs xx

Haiyaa · 16/06/2021 14:08

Oh @Sausage1990 that must have been really hard on you. It’s important to remember that they said it wasn’t necessarily the case with your other losses and you still have lots of results to come, which may point to something that is treatable. I’m guessing both you and DH will have some genetic testing to see if you are carriers for any particular disorders? Absolutely focus on looking after yourselves and don’t worry about us, this is what we do. When the chips are down we will be YOUR cheerleaders and get you through this as best we can. Just don’t look up our skirts as it appears some of us are incontinent… 🤪

larrythelizard · 16/06/2021 14:18

@Sausage1990 that's so unbelievably tough. Hopefully you can get some reassurance that it was entirely out of your control? "Spontaneous and random" is cruel but not anything you did or could control. I try really hard these days to only worry about what I can control and this does not fall into the controllable bucket.

How would you feel about naming her and planting a tree or something to try and get some closure on her?

I know a lady who had three or four miscarriages, I was tickling her 6 month baby's toes yesterday.

I've heard good things about the book 'it starts with the egg' although I haven't read it - might be somewhere to start?

I think the vast majority of us on here have experienced at least one miscarriage so have some sort of insight as to how you feel.

I'm always happy to listen and provide a virtual handhold/shoulder to cry on, feel free to insta message if you'd rather. X

Kirky658 · 16/06/2021 15:13

@juno231 good luck hun, everything crossed for you!

@sausage1990 oh lovely. I'm glad you've got some answers but that sounds so difficult to get your head around. Thinking of you.

I've been for my covid jab today! And my parents still aren't speaking to me. I messaged my mum earlier to tell her that I'd had my jab and she was monosyllabic when she's normally dead chatty. Apparently my DH upset my brother because he asked him to leave when actually what he'd said was 'if you continue to upset her then i will have to ask you to leave'. Apparently if he'd been given chance to explain there wasn't 100 people at the party, only 20, and they all had tests before it. But I just feel like they shouldn't be siding with him and its really childish tbh! So I've left the ball in their court. Father's day at the Weekend and DH's 30th on Monday so will see if they make contact again.

blackcurrantqueen · 16/06/2021 15:13

@Sausage1990 I am so sorry you are going through this and bringing all those raw feelings up again, I am glad you are having the rest of the follow up from the RMC. I have no personal experience I am afraid 💞 hugs xx

@Vil10 cousin sounds a bit knobby!! People just do not think do they

@bez91 MIL can get in the bin with vils cousin too!

@larrythelizard GOOD LUCK!!!!

@Tornado2Inc glad it's all going ok! Can we have more pictures 😂

@Minster2012 more brown blood??? Hmm! Come on AF show your face or piss off !

Tornado2Inc · 16/06/2021 15:30

@Sausage1990 that is so heartbreaking. I can only imagine what you are possibly going through. As @Juno231 said, most miscarriages are due to chromosomal abnormalities, which none of us expects. I personally know two ladies who had rmc and both of them have little kiddos (one of then had 3MCs, the other one 7 MCs, poor soul). And they both said, when you do meet your baby, you'll know it was him/her you've been waiting for this whole time 🙂

Tornado2Inc · 16/06/2021 15:50

@blackcurrantqueen I put the progression on Instagram earlier today, but if you insist... 😂 Swipe to see.

@Tornado2Inc that looks amazing!! What DPO is the bottom one?

aaah to have lines like that myself one day!

@becarefuloutthere will you be sporadically testing for line progression or are you leaving the mindf**k alone?

Tornado2Inc · 16/06/2021 15:55

@Juno231 the bottom one is from today at 13dpo, they go back to 10dpo 🙂

Franklydear · 16/06/2021 17:17

@Sausage1990 i am doing the same, I just can't cope and need a break from everything ATM, that update is very interesting, not helpful though
