@choccrumpet I doubt it to be honest, my apps are predicting af between Tuesday and next Saturday so could arrive at any time. How are you feeling today?

choccrumpet · 19/06/2021 13:07

@Marvellouslymadmum not too long left to wait at least. I'm alright, tried going for a run but my body wasn't feeling great so took that as a sign to take it easy, I might have been hungry and that was it but thought it best to not push too hard. So going to relax for the day. My tests are dye stealers now so hoping it's a good sign 🤞🏼 I've actually been really cranky and moody especially when tired, my poor partner must be loving life at the moment 😅 how are you feeling?

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/06/2021 14:15

@choccrumpet they're all good signs! I think everyone gets the mood swings when pregnant, it's all part of it lol I would maybe stick to walking or a slow jog for now rather than running. I'm ok, bit fed up with the waiting. Still got another two months until my referral and something is definitely stopping us conceiving. As it's nog his swimmers I'm guessing it's something to do with me so just want to hurry up and get looked at! I don't feel like we've got anywhere this month, we never do but honestly I don't think there's anything else left that we can throw at this so there has to be a problem somewhere surely!!!

choccrumpet · 19/06/2021 15:08

@Marvellouslymadmum when I say running it's probably more like a slow jog 😂

That is frustrating, you're right it sounds like you've tried everything you could have. Maybe you need a bit of help somewhere that you can't help yourself and that would be it. Hopefully your appointment gets moved to a closer time and it's not the full 2 months. Keep looking after yourself mentally in the meanwhile, I bet it hasn't been easy. You're doing all the right things so hopefully is just a matter of time. Hang in there, you're doing brilliantly ❤️

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/06/2021 16:03

@choccrumpet fair enough lol, I very much doubt that it'll get moved up, it was originally supposed to be in November but got it through in august so just happy for that! I just feel like because there's nothing more the docs can do I'm at a bit of a stale mate

Amy259 · 19/06/2021 16:06

Hi ladies! I hope you don’t mind me posting - I recognise some names from other threads I’ve been on (hi!) and saw a few of you seem to be pros on soy.. so I was wondering if you could help me please?

I’m about to go into cycle 12, and feel like I’ve tried everything else so got some soy online but they’re confusing me.. they’re 100mg tabs but the back says 100mg soy extract and 40mg isoflavones. I’ve googled and some people say base it on the whole extract, some on the iso content. Have any of you used similar tablets, and if so what did you base it on?

Sorry for coming straight in with a question, it feels so rude, but af feels imminent and is due any day so trying to figure it out before it’s time to take them 🙈

Congrats to all of those who have gotten bfps!!

@Amy259 it's not rude at all! I'm not actually sure, I just checked my bottle and it says 'soy isoflavones 50mg'. I've seen people say base it on the isoflavone content also, but haven't had to do this myself.

OP posts:
Amy259 · 19/06/2021 18:19

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you so much for replying! I think I’ll go for the isoflavones content and just hope for the best..

Can I ask which ones you use please? Maybe I’d be best with some without any unnecessary additional stuff!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 19/06/2021 18:22

@Marvellouslymadmum you've done so much different good stuff over the last 2-3 months that's had a good effect, like the supplements and stopping smoking for him, and all the supplements for you, diet and iron at the right level etc. August will be here before you know it and you'll have all the baseline stuff in place way ahead of others xxx

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 19/06/2021 18:50

@Amy259 sorry I'm not much help either as mine were also soy Isoflavon content. But I'd tend to try that rather than the soy extract I think

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I hope that's the case, I don't know how long it'll take for anything to happen once I have my first appointment, 🤞🏻 they'll put me on the waiting list for a lap but im also hoping they offer letrozole or clomid, though I think they'll probably do the lap first and see if that helps

Amy259 · 19/06/2021 19:09

@Marvellouslymadmum thank you!!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 19/06/2021 19:25

@Marvellouslymadmum I really hope so too. Or even better, that it works before 🤞 Clomid or letrazole would be awesome, and hopefully they'll be an easy prescribe if they can get you in for the scans.

@Amy259 I had the natures aid ones.

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 19/06/2021 19:33

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes that's what I'm hoping, nothing entitled to ivf anyway but at least I may get some help. To be honest it's been over 3 years and about 45 cycles now. Though a lot more proactive the last 6 months with it, so o still can't see anything happening naturAlly

choccrumpet · 19/06/2021 20:04

@Amy259 sorry I don't really know what that means, I don't know why they're so awkward to understand 🙈

@Marvellouslymadmum I agree you've made so many positive changes recently it all helps towards the end goal. And being more proactive last 6 months is also positive, you hear it happen to other people after trying for years and years so really hoping for you

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/06/2021 20:37

@choccrumpet @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I mean there's always a smidge of hope I just feel like it's slowly slipping away lol. Each time I get hopeful it soon gets taken away, I just never knew things would change this much since I had my first two! With both of them it was so easy, we just decided we wanted a baby, I came off the depo injection and 3 months later I was pregnant with my son with no tracking or anything just no protection! Then with my daughter we decided we wanted another one, had the implant removed and was pregnant a month later! (Granted this was in 2004 & 2005 so a fair few years ago) then I got accidentally pregnant on the pill with my current partner which sadly ended up in mc so that should've meant we were ok fertile was, waited about 8 months then came off the pill and nothing ... That was April 2018 we've managed 2cp and 1 mc between then and now and I'd put most of the issues down to his swimmers as he was told they weren't great when he was younger and it took him two years to conceive with his ex, but as that's all come back ok I feel at a bit of a loss! I know I'm older but everything that's been checked so far has come back ok, who knows. Sorry for the rant, I'm sure I'll be back to hope again tomorrow 😂

choccrumpet · 19/06/2021 20:45

@Marvellouslymadmum I'm sorry that sounds so tough to go through. And don't be sorry, you need to let things out every now and again. It must be more frustrating knowing it was so straight forward before! Being able to get pregnant is definitely a positive although I know it doesn't help when it's not progressing or happening again 🙄 you've got a few more months to try on your own and see how things go, otherwise you're just about to get help and support and hopefully that will help you both physically and mentally. If your results are coming back okay then it has to be a matter of time / a bit of help. And you need down time to rant / process things so you can get back up and keep the hope alive ❤️

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/06/2021 21:08

@choccrumpet I know you're right, I'm also just paranoid that I won't get any help at all when I get to gynae just sent away again, but we will see. I'm sorry if I sound selfish moaning when I know I have two children and so does my partner and others are struggling to have one at all, it would just be so nice to have one together and bring everyone closer.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 19/06/2021 22:05

@Marvellouslymadmum please please rant away, that's what this space is for. After getting pregnant so easily before, this must be really really tough. Looking purely logically at it, you've gotten pregnant four times in three years (I'm so sorry for all your losses, they must have been devastating). The SA is now good, and you're getting help with the adenmyosis, which might not affect your fertility. I really think and hope this will happen. You're such a lovely positive person, I know I don't know you, but speaking here and on other threads is great. It's hard to keep hoping though xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/06/2021 22:30

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you, I'll probably be back to my usual positive self tomorrow just having a wobble as I'm feeling so totally un-pregnant 😂 I can't believe how naive I was with my two children for conception and throughout pregnancy! It's crazy how different things can be.

How are you doing anyway? Cheer me up with some of your symptoms lol I do feel like I know a lot of you on here too, It's a lovely friendly group of people ❤️

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 19/06/2021 22:58

@Marvellouslymadmum have as many wobbles as you want and don't feel you have to keep positive all the time.
Well neither SLK or me felt pregnant and that was the month we did get it. I still don't really so we'll see what happens at my scan - no exciting (or really any) symptoms over here 🙈
How're the children? FOUR teens, things must get chaotic!

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 19/06/2021 23:31

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 to be honest I don't think o felt much at all with mine at first! It can be very chaotic, my two (15yo girl and 16yo boy with Adam & autism) live with us all the time and his two (14yo boy with adhd and 13yo boy) live with their mum the majority then we have them every other weekend plus extra on holidays and things. So yeah it can be a challenging and very busy household at times!

choccrumpet · 20/06/2021 07:49

@Marvellouslymadmum you're not coming across selfish at all so don't think like that. I think they'll have to do something as you've been trying for 3 years, you meet criteria for investigations so they will do something. You had no reason to think otherwise with your kids, happens to plenty of people unless you know someone struggling or do yourself at some point. 4 teenagers does sound like a lot 🙈 at least they keep you busy!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 20/06/2021 09:18

@Marvellouslymadmum from the outside (not having to deal with any chaos!) it sounds lovely to have such a big family

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 20/06/2021 09:38

@choccrumpet @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 honestly I love it! I was brought up in a large household with age gaps and we are a really close happy family still now, when we get the chance to get together there's 25 of us including our partners and all our children lol.
I've always wanted more than two anyway but I'm glad I didn't have anymore with my ex, I'd been with my current partner just over a year when we accidentally got pregnant and it's just compounded that need for a little one since - plus we have ready made baby sitters! 😂

Slk3558 · 20/06/2021 11:35

@Marvellouslymadmum we all have our fed up days, you’re so strong to keep going. I’m such an impatient person I was getting fed up on cycle 3 after my 2nd mc because got prey straight away after 1st mc, so I honestly salute you for your persistence and determination.

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet last few days…
my symptoms have been up and down and fluctuating in severity which has had me feeling nervous. I’ve had some lower back pain this morning. I don’t think my anxiety will ever go away or at least until I see a hb it might relieved a bit.

I’m 5+4 and time is dragging. My scan is booked for 7 weeks.
