@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 ah yeah being back at work would make a difference. I'm still wfh and will be for the near future. It's in just over 2 weeks when I'll be 11+3 according to my dates. I'd rather not get pinged and have to rearrange. I'm probably overthinking it but as the case numbers rise i get more nervous. I'll see how I feel closer to the time

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/07/2021 13:14

@choccrumpet ahh lucky you to get yours so early!! I did get a private at 10.5 weeks just because it was feeling a long wait

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 21/07/2021 13:25

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 do you think it's at an okay time or could they ask me to go back the week after? We decided against another private scan, 2 and a bit weeks left to wait so not too long. Can't keep the anxiety out of my head but I think a lot of women must feel the same. Did your scan go well?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/07/2021 13:32

@choccrumpet no I think it should be okay? Mine is just late! I think they're busy. It went okay thanks, was just a quick reassurance one, but it measured right and she said the nuchal fold looked fine. I'm still nervous for my next one though, I guess everyone is

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 21/07/2021 14:27

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I wouldn't complain if they do 😅 that's great! I'm sure that gave a bit of reassurance but yes I'm sure everyone is nervous. I just keep thinking how long could a mmc go undetected for, can't get it out of my head. I think I'm overthinking and over worrying

Marvellouslymadmum · 24/07/2021 09:59

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'll definitely be sticking with the high high vit d,c then folic and pregnacare, maybe e? Oh it's so confusing 🤦🏼‍♀️
It's definitely weird with things opening up, people around here are about 60/40 wearing masks. We haven't been anywhere really just a few shops and that's about it.

@choccrumpet that really annoys me! Why on earth would you go anywhere if you had symptoms!

So pleased you're both doing well with your scans and everything to look forward to. I'm just in limbo land, cd29 today and it seems I finally ovulated cd27 so another 40ish day cycle for me 🙄 but at least I have my gynae appointment in a month so I'll be handing control over to them and hoping they actually do something!

choccrumpet · 24/07/2021 12:54

@Marvellouslymadmum that sounds frustrating ☹️ but you are getting so close to the appointment, hopefully they can help much more then. It might be good to give your body a break from the different supplements and see if that makes a difference.

We went out for breakfast this morning and nobody was wearing a mask walking in except us 🤣🙃 it's like nothing ever happened. We sat outside so it felt okay but honestly it makes me want to stay at home until I get my second vaccine at least, to have a bit more protection.

I still have no interest in home cooked food, I can manage food cooked in restaurants though 😂 2 weeks until my scan so still a while left to go 😓

It's so frustrating isn't it. CD26 for me and absolutely no sign of ovulation for me Hmm

I was really hopeful this month for this month especially after last month's shorter cycle after taking soy. Must've just been a fluke! So hard not to feel despondent about it all.

Does anyone know if soy and myo inositol are ok to take at the same time?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 28/07/2021 10:39

@Marvellouslymadmum and @snow90 wow long cycles, very frustrating. @Marvellouslymadmum yes at least you can hand it all over to the gynaecologist! Just one month now.

@snow90 I don't know sorry, I wouldn't think it'd be bad together, but given it's meant to help with PCOS and possibly hormones I'd probably pick to do one or the other if it were me just in case one cancels out the other.

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 28/07/2021 11:06

@choccrumpet that's what I'm hoping and I'll mention supplements at my appointment and see what they recommend.

If found that a lot that I actually get stared at for wearing a mask now 🤦🏼‍♀️

@snow90 it's very frustrating! I feel like with a 50 day cycle and now an approximate 42ish day cycle that I'm missing out, I should be at the end of a third cycle now! I'm not sure about mixing the two

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I can't wait for the appointment now! How are you doing?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 28/07/2021 12:18

@Marvellouslymadmum I'm the one glaring at people with no masks, especially if they come sit near me on the tube 🙈😂

I bet you can't, it's been a long wait, but the relief to get a professionals opinion after them taking a proper look. So unfair for you to be left in limbo for so long.

I'm okay thanks, nothing much to report. Trying to organise a last minute hen now things are open 😬 My scan is next week when I'm 13 weeks hopefully, nervous so just ignoring it

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 28/07/2021 12:42

@Marvellouslymadmum I was about to repeat the same thing I said at the weekend 🤦🏼‍♀️ I've got very bad baby/pregnancy brain at the moment, hard to remember things / easy to forget everything. At least masks are still encouraged in certain places!

I tried my bridesmaids dress on over the weekend and the first time I couldn't get it down over my boobs 🤣 second time I was determined to get it on which I did but it's really tight around my chest & waist so I'm going to have to get fabric added to it 😂😂😂😅 I'm nervous for how it will look & if it will fit me in September but I'm going to try get it fixed before I'm forced to just buy another dress (we can't buy the same ones anymore).

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 good luck for your scan! Mine is also next week and like you I am trying not to think about it. Also have an appointment with the consultant, assume it'll be an intro and next steps maybe, not sure what to expect.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 28/07/2021 13:34

@choccrumpet annoying about the dress, but I bet it'll look lovely once they add the fabric to it! I luckily managed to get the next size up for mine, just slipped in before the cut off. Don't know if it'll look nice though, it's a dress which really suits a proper waist.

Thank you, good luck for yours as well! And for the meeting with the consultant. Reassuring to have a consultant looking over you.

You're getting your second vaccine soon too?

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 28/07/2021 14:46

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I hope so. And very lucky with yours! I got mine close to 2 years ago when we weren't even thinking about ttc 🙈

Thank you! Yes next week too, it's a busy week with all these appointments. Although my partner is due his this week so will ask if I can come get mine done too, doubt they'll agree.

Marvellouslymadmum · 29/07/2021 11:33

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 me too, my daughter gets really cross with people not wearing their masks!
I just feel like I've been wasting the last four years ttc because I don't know what's going on in there! Exciting that you're at the 13 weeks scan point!

@choccrumpet I've actually found most shops still want masks but a lot if people just ignore it! Sounds a nightmare with your bridesmaid dress - does the bride know yet? 🙈 consultant will talk you through everything, any issues in previous pregnancies, in the family etc and check everything like at a midwife spot. Can't wait to hear all about the scans

choccrumpet · 29/07/2021 17:07

@Marvellouslymadmum yes the bride is a close friend so she knew early on, she knows we've been trying and isn't fussed about it. For her last wedding date it would have been another bridesmaid pregnant so we keep switching 🤣 thankfully there's a seamstress who can fix my dress, hoping it turns out well!

Thanks for explaining that, does sound like the midwife appointment.

It's hard not to feel that way, I don't blame you. You're doing all you can and hopefully you'll get help very soon. Nothing about this is a pleasant process.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 30/07/2021 08:19

@Marvellouslymadmum it's really horrible that you've had to wait four years to get seen and that any diagnosis is taking so long. Think everyone would feel frustrated, especially when it's so emotive and discouraging every month. Can't believe you only just got a semen analysis and a scan this year either. Okay to be really pissed off with NHS x

@choccrumpet seamstresses can work magic, am sure it'll look beautiful!

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 31/07/2021 21:25

@choccrumpet oh that's good! At least you should be able to get it altered ok

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 to be honest for quite a while I was just waiting and thinking it would happen at some point but now I'm just a rollercoaster of emotions every month and each one that slips by I am more convinced it'll never happen 🤷🏼‍♀️

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/08/2021 13:32

@Marvellouslymadmum I really hope the appointment goes well and they can give you something immediate to help. It's absolutely not fair for you to be left to feel like this every month

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 03/08/2021 14:13

How are you ladies?

Had my consultant appointment today and it was a lot less than I expected it to be 🤣 he booked me in for extra scans at 28 & 36 weeks and that's it. And said to take baby aspirin from 12 weeks until close to birth. My nausea seems to be back at 11 weeks, constantly there with a horrible taste in my mouth that won't go away. Otherwise doing okay 🤞🏼

Marvellouslymadmum · 05/08/2021 09:59

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you, me too!

@choccrumpet yea they're nothing much are they! Glad that you've got extra scans though

I'm 14dpo today so expecting af in the next couple of days

choccrumpet · 05/08/2021 10:04

@Marvellouslymadmum what was your cycle like this time? I just also realised we're in august 🥳 you must have your appointment in a few weeks?

Marvellouslymadmum · 05/08/2021 10:31

@choccrumpet cd41 today so long again 🙄 yes my appointment is on 23rd 🎉🎉 at last. How's your nausea?

choccrumpet · 05/08/2021 10:35

@Marvellouslymadmum 2 and a bit weeks!! That's frustrating. Although it sounds like it's a similar length to recent ones even though it's long?

It's been up and down, was okay yesterday, so far so good today, random bouts of it. Got my vaccine yesterday so hard to tell what's from that or what isn't.
