@choccrumpet thank you, that must be it I guess you can't miss something you never had, they just had to get pregnant and hope! What time is your scan? I do hope it goes well

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/07/2021 09:08

@choccrumpet just wanted to say good luck for today. I'm sure you won't need it, but it's nerve wracking having scans 😘

Thank you both 😭 @Marvellouslymadmum @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it's at half 3 today so a bit of a wait. I've relaxed a bit since having a bit of a moment but not sure what to expect today, I'll probably get more nervous closer to it. Feeling okay this morning again, can tell there's a tiny bit of nausea but not much, maybe it's a good thing or maybe it means something, but my boobs are still sore and tiredness still there.. will find out soon

choccrumpet · 01/07/2021 13:24

I've got a new theory.. went for a walk to a local shop and felt so nauseous along the way. I wonder if chilling at home not being very active alleviates the nausea..

How are you today ladies?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/07/2021 15:52

@choccrumpet I def feel better on more chilled days and if I've got more sleep I think. The day I had to go to the dentist and work and it involved a lot of walking, I felt horrible

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @Marvellouslymadmum the scan went well 🥰 we saw a little heartbeat. I felt so relieved! Measuring a few days behind but almost spot on at 6+1, my ovulation dates are 6+3 and I think at this point it's normal to be off by a few days. Little bean is in my right horn and I actually do have a septum going down the middle of my uterus (but not all the way down) which was news to me and a bit worrying but nothing can be done about it now so will have to wait and see. Hopefully that definitely means more scans in the second trimester! That's the positive I'm taking from it. A little bit of fluid in my left horn but she said it can be normal and nothing to worry about. Feel a lot better now! And it'll probably be normal for my symptoms to come and go (I know everyone says this 😝) thank you for your well wishes, they seemed to have helped 🤗

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/07/2021 17:34

@choccrumpet omg I'm so pleased, I've been checking back on here in the afternoon hoping it went well! Awesome news!!! And the extra scans in second trimester sounds really good as well

choccrumpet · 01/07/2021 17:40

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you ❤️ I know anything can happen at any time but it is that little bit of reassurance, it's in the right place and looking good.
Well I'm assuming that's what will happen, I don't actually know until I get there, but am hoping that will be the case unless things look really well with no need for monitoring 🤷🏼‍♀️

Marvellouslymadmum · 01/07/2021 19:51

@choccrumpet I would say any kind of motion definitely makes the sickness worse! So pleased the scan went well and you saw a heartbeat!! 🎉 I find that dates always change slightly on scans as they're a guideline but all babies are born different weights snd sizes so it's not 100% accurate

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/07/2021 20:10

@choccrumpet it must have been lovely to see the heartbeat! It reassured me somewhat that the risk goes down after a heartbeat 🤞
At least you can take this scan to the booking appointment and tell the midwife straight away about the septum and hopefully get more monitoring and a consultant review.

choccrumpet · 01/07/2021 20:31

@Marvellouslymadmum I think I confirmed that for myself today 🤣 thank you! Yeah I've heard so many mention the same so I'm not concerned about it. It's more so annoying if I do end up getting put back at the official dating scan, feels like time is moving twice as slow 😅 how are you doing?

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it's hard to know how that decreased risk applies to me because of my uterus as that causes more risk after the first trimester (typical 🤦🏼‍♀️) but I am holding on to that at the moment and hoping it is a positive! How are you feeling today?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 02/07/2021 08:05

Morning @choccrumpet how're you? I didn't realise sub-septate was different to bicornuate til I just looked it up sorry - did they give you any info on it? I think they'll look after you really well, and if they don't, you can insist you're monitored well now you know. You've prob seen it already, in which case ignore, but I saw women detailing what extra care they got here and where www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/2415443-Septate-bicorniate-uterus-anybody

I'm okay thanks, had a lie in today, first day my dog hasn't insisted on a walk at half six this week

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 02/07/2021 09:28

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 morning! I'm off work today so haven't moved much tbh but feeling a bit nauseous even so, maybe some food will help. There's so many different types of uteruses, I knew they were different but not how. Tommy's goes through the different types in a nice way. I can't remember if I've seen that post, but thanks for sharing and I'll have a read through it. There don't seem to be too much about bicornuate, I think it's pretty rare to have one but I'll ask my midwife about it at my booking appointment.

Oh dear, it really does sound like having a child 😅 he might be insisting on a walk another time today then! Have you got your booking scan coming up soon?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 02/07/2021 09:42

@choccrumpet Day off sounds amazing!! Especially if you're feeling a bit crappy.

I've been alone this week and I think he's just got a bit spoiled - he's at daycare all day so he doesn't even really need a walk. And I really do need a lay in!

Mine is on Monday. When's yours?

choccrumpet · 02/07/2021 10:01

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'm taking back time for that training I did last week, nothing planned so probably a chilled out day but so nice to have a longer weekend, otherwise feels like all I do is work 🙈

Aww yes he's been very lucky this week!! Good for you to keep moving too, I have not been doing much in terms of exercising, the bad weather doesn't help.

So soon! How are you feeling about it? Mine is week after next so a week after yours.

Slk3558 · 02/07/2021 10:46

For some reason I didn’t get any post notifications at all for this thread, only because I clicked on saw all the messages!!

@choccrumpet congratulations on seeing a heart beat. My symptoms were touch and go now very much constant nausea with vomiting.

I went for my scan yesterday saw a heart beat as well..overjoyed and seems very surreal!

They have given me anti sickness meds. Took one at 7 this morning still vomited half an hour later lol

Hope every one is doing ok

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 02/07/2021 11:09

@choccrumpet long weekend sounds amazing! Chilled day = perfect. It's another scan I would really like, not really the booking appointment!

@Slk3558 congrats on your scan also, that's lovely news and must have been such a relief. Are you seven weeks now? Oh no to the sickness. If those pills don't work, go back and get some better ones. I found cyclizine useless for other nausea, but they're the cheap front line ones (if that's what they gave you)

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 02/07/2021 11:33

@Slk3558 ahh congrats on your great scan! It is surreal seeing it isn't it, made it feel that little bit more real for me but not completely 🙈 agree that you should ask for another kind of meds if they're not really working. Sounds like your morning sickness is quite severe! Hope something helps you soon.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yeah I can see scans can easily feel a bit addictive, can't they. I'm going to try hold off and maybe have another private one halfway to my 12 week scan. My partner doesn't seem too fussed on it which was funny to hear 🤣 he'd still come and be happy to see the bean but find it funny hes not too bothered about it lol.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 02/07/2021 11:40

@choccrumpet yeah mine was the same, he thinks I worry too much and says a scan isn't going to stop anything bad happening. Annoyingly he was there when the sonographer said she really doesn't recommend too many and to wait at least two weeks, so there's no sneaking off to get another 😂

9 weeks sounds like a good bet though, as you can apparently see their arms waving 😍

@choccrumpet yes I get that

I'm good just waiting for my Lh rise heading toward bd time

@Slk3558 great that you got to see the heartbeat on your scan too!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 02/07/2021 17:27

@Marvellouslymadmum I hope it's earlier this month!

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 02/07/2021 19:10

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 haha maybe that was for the best that he heard that 😅 i don't want to depend too much on them so trying to chill out in between! Won't book another one just yet, will see how I feel.

@Marvellouslymadmum hopefully it goes smoother this month 🤞🏼

I think I had my first proper sized meal for dinner first time this week maybe 😅 and it was a takeaway, that seems to be all I can eat at the moment. Nausea has managed to stay away 🤞🏼

EnjoyingTheSunshine · 02/07/2021 21:14

Hey girls, just a little tip (it worked for me): I drank one glass of grapefruit juice a day and took evening primrose oil last cycle and I'm now about 5 weeks pregnant.

Before, I was relatively dry down there during my fertile days. When I drank the grapefruit juice and took the capsules, I was gushing with ewcm.

Marvellouslymadmum · 02/07/2021 23:58

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 me too!

@choccrumpet I was a bit like that, I think it depends what you fancy to eat too!

@EnjoyingTheSunshine thank you, I think everyone in here is pregnant apart from me lol I'm on the epo but going to get some grapefruit juice too

I'm not pg yet so you're not alone! I wasn't expecting anything this cycle due to our work patterns clashing around ovulation but it was still disappointing none the less when my period arrived this week :(

Although the one positive is that my cycle was the shortest one since coming off the pill a year ago! So hopefully things are going in the right direction...
Going to take soy again today (day 3) and hope it has the same effect this month.

Lovely to read everyone's scans have gone well Smile
