And me 😊 notyetamumbuttrying 35 ttc no1 for 20 months. Ivf started in May. Long protocol.

@marvellouslymadmum so that's one of the first things they said to me was that my progesterone levels show that I am ovulating but may not be enough to sustain a pregnancy but then subsequent to that I was informed they should be fine but they have come back as 28, 28 & 30 which is borderline

@MIW01 maybe try speaking to them about it again? See if there's anything they'll do to help you.

@MIW01 the temp dip at 7dpo will be an oestrogen surge and not a progesterone dip - it's common and linked to something the corpus luteum gets up to at that stage in the TWW. It's called a secondary oestrogen surge if you want to look into it. As for the endo and bfp - that really depends on how much endo you have and where it is! Definitely not a one size fits all - so some can still get pregnant with and others cannot at all because of it blocking things at various points (eg on the ovaries and preventing the egg from getting to the fallopian tubes). So all is not lost yet, let's hope they can help sort you out with a bfp🤞

@MIW01 I think I may have seen your post on the fb group but wasn't sure. Will see if I can find it and comment so that you know it's me. So you have a lap booked in for next week then? Best of luck with it!

Thanks @Juno231 I didn't thinknit was a progesterone dip but hasmd hear that if you get a temp dip it can indicate implantation bur I suspect not as I never get a BFP I know my tubes are clear and everything they've seen on scans so far looks allOK so will just have to wait and see what's said on Wednesday

Annoyingly I've ended up with a cold and sore throat! Been taking the at home covid tests and negative and no temperature thank goodness

Dipping back in again, currently cycle day 23 - 9dpo

Woke up with a sore back, it’s still really sore, it’s at the bottom in the middle and period like cramps. Next period due on Thursday.

@MIW01 the temp dip is more common in bfp charts but doesn't mean it's implantation unfortunately - that's a bit of a myth. BTW my tubes were clear but then I had endo removes on my ovary so the hycosy/hsg/US won't have shown that.

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm good - just plodding along thanks! I'm 5DPO so got nothing to report atm. Other than the fact I seem to have thrush again! Annoying as heck. When is your next scan and when is estimated EC?

So I went for my ultra sound scan on Friday and was poked and prodded very painfully (15 year old c-section scar = almost unbearable pain with a scan!) then she said I was allowed to go to the toilet to empty my adder now then come back for the internal scan 😳😳 and got out the old dildocam! 😂 wasn't actually expecting that! But they're definitely being thorough, she wouldn't tell me anything at all not even if I'd ovulated as I was a bit confused about my opk/temps and wanted to know if we still had a chance after the sa etc and all she would say was she couldn't see anything untoward and to contact the go in a week! So next two weeks will be scan results and sa results 😬

@Juno231 glad you're good. Argh that is annoying! Hope it clears up soon.
Next scan is on weds and estimated EC is this Friday or the following Monday 😬

I'm still lurking away, I took this month off ttc after our clinic results and had a lovely 2 weeks up home with my family, it was nice not having it on my mind 24/7. Got word from my doc that it could be a year before I get to my new clinic with my NHS funding 😢❤️ let's hope for some sort of miracle in that time 😭

Thank you all for the support. Much as I may have said all the sensible things it's really hitting today and I'm sat at my desk in tears. I don't know how much longer I can keep feeling like this, my whole life is on hold and I feel so inadequate for not being able to make a baby. I know some days are harder than others but this journey is really breaking me. 😞

@Aimzie nice to have you back! Glad you're feeling recharged. A year is a long time. Have they suggested anything that can be done in the meantime? Can Dh get a urologist referral for example?

@Motherofkittens28 can you take some leave? It feels too soon to be at work. Do you get counselling as part of your treatment cycle? I'd ask for an appointment if so. It's a tough journey, so any help you can get the better IMO 💗

@Motherofkittens28 I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling so deflated - it is entirely understandable. You are allowed to feel broken, sad, angry even! It's ok - reference feeling like your life is on hold, I concur, I think we all feel like time ticks by with no progress - we all hope for the bfp that sticks and for this mad journey to become a distant memory, I wish more than anything I could help you, all of you - I can't even help myself unfortunately.
Take some time, talk, exercise, be kind to yourself x

@notyetamumbuttrying feeling a bit stressed out at the mo, but that’s mainly because I’ve decided to tell my dad about ivf tomorrow which I’m dreading. One of my family members decided to go and organise a surprise party for another family member in early July which will either be day after transfer or in between EC and transfer, so I can’t go and I can’t lie about what I’m doing because lying causes me a lot of stress, so I decided it’s best to just tell the truth to my close family members! My dad has always been very anti-children (he didn’t want any himself, I think my mum forced him into it!😂) so I’m slightly bricking it at the moment. Really annoyed as I’ve meticulously planned everything to avoid everyone during the treatment and then someone goes and organises a bloody party!! 😖
I’ve also got my injection training with DH tomorrow so I’m excited/nervous about that!
How are you doing? When is your next scan?

@Motherofkittens28 I’m so sorry, are you able take a bit of time off from work? Its important to take some time to grieve and not suppress your emotions and just let the tears flow. I completely understand about life being on hold, I have literally willed this year away waiting for things to happen.
Definitely try and see a counsellor if you can, I’m sure it will help being able to talk everything through with someone.

@crazycatlady1981 can understand that stress! I've just had a girls weekend trying to make out like I was drinking when really it was just tonic! So stressful and I failed a few times and had red wine, prosecco, etc so now I'm kicking myself and thinking my eggs are buggered so I'd always advocate telling. I ended up telling two of the girls so that they'd back off with trying to get me to drink more. I'm sure your dad will be happy for you tho as grandkids are less of a stress than kids! Good luck all the same 🍀

@crazycatlady1981 I was close but held bk in the end due to some other reasons too. It wouldn't have been appropriate in front of one of them. I need to tell her on her own, she wouldn't have appreciated it in a group setting!

@crazycatlady1981, I could probably call in sick but we have a deadline to meet by Friday so I dont feel its really fair to my team. I contacted the clinics counsellor and same as last time she is fully booked and has no space to see us. What is the point of offering a free counselling session if it's impossible to access it? On the plus side we have had our consultation with the new clinic booked for 21st June, good to know that's in the diary.

@Motherofkittens28 that’s terrible that they don’t have any counselling sessions available. I think some clinics really are much better than others. Good that you’ve got an appointment in June with the new one.

We’ve just had our injection training and the nurse at satellite clinic had never come across ovaleap and had never used it before, so she couldn’t show us, so we’ll just have to rely on the video for that one! I think we’ve managed to figure it out ourselves though!

@crazycatlady1981 I have just had my meds delivered- I have ovaleap pen too, I’ve just pushed it all to one side haha, hope you get on with it ok.

@polejunkie @crazycatlady1981 yay to you both starting long protocol soon! I'm one day away from my follicle scan so will update you all tomorrow on how many eggs I have and when collection will likely be! I'm intrigued to see when the trigger injection will be and if I'll get to use fyremadel at all. I hear you're meant to use it whilst stimming but they've kept me on a low dose of buserelin instead. Hopefully they'll give me some answers tomorrow!
