@CycloGoose congratulations on your little boy!

kaylsd · 31/03/2022 13:59

20 weeks down, 20 weeks to go 🥺
Bubs is growing perfectly, low lying placenta so hoping that budges by my next scan at 32 week to check but if not may be a sunroof baby! Just got to take things easy as can be a bleeding risk if strenuous work 🙈 gets me out of housework I guess 🤓 hope you ladies are well ❤️ @KatieLooLa @CycloGoose @lucea87

Ohhhh @kaylsd! That's so exciting! I know it's a bit of a scary thing but lots of ladies I know have had the placenta move and a big bonus is getting those extra scans so you get to see bubs again. Are you keeping gender a surprise? I'm still so excited and delight for you!
Also, if you do have sunroof, you have the benefit of knowing the date in advance which takes some of the stress away and you're guaranteed to keep your vag intact!
Baby boy is 8 weeks on Monday. Time is flying. Changes so much! Xxx

@kaylsd
Ooooh half way there! I'm still in n the TTC game, going to make a doctors appointment just to make sure that everything is ok, I'm sure it is but doesn't hurt to check I guess.
Hope you're doing well and bubs isn't being too much of a pain x

els10 · 31/03/2022 22:38

Love that this thread is still active!
@kaylsd so glad all is well with you! These next few weeks will fly.
My little girl is just coming up five months and wonderful. We've been blessed with a lovely chill little bubs!

kaylsd · 01/04/2022 09:35

That was Adams response yesterday he was like bonus it won't look like a well worn Ford Focus down there with high mileage I'm like ermmmm thanks? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm pretty chilled about the situation what will be as it's out of our hands just fingers and toes crossed by being cautious and not strenuous no bleeding happens which is a common symptom of the issue! Baby is going to be a surprise on the day for us both we have our names set for both 😘 I can't believe how much times are flying! How is motherhood life? @CycloGoose

kaylsd · 01/04/2022 09:36

@KatieLooLa I'm with you there girl getting answers is the key if you ask me if I didn't push for them back in the day I'd hate to think of the limbo land I would have still been in further down the line! Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help or if you have any questions for the process of it all as I went through each part 😘

kaylsd · 01/04/2022 09:38

@els10 wow time really is flying I'm so happy for you angel with your beautiful little girl 🥺 just like to update the girl gang from when it all started and how things have changed but I still like to keep you all posted 😘

CycloGoose · 01/04/2022 10:29

So exciting @kaylsd will be such a loved baby 💖💙

You could be lucky and get away with things vaginally like me anyway! Make sure you peri prep your bits just in case! My friend had placenta previa and she had a bleed but not until 38 weeks I think. Her c section was booked in at 39 so her baby just arrived a week earlier. She's absolutely gorgeous 🤩

Motherhood is as glamorous as expected. I aim for 2 showers a week and have just had to go for a 💩 with him attached in his sling because he won't nap anywhere else at the moment. Hoping @els10 can confirm it gets easier! Though then you need eyes in the back of your head because they'll be moving everywhere! Can't believe she's 5 months!

This was the best girl gang. Got me through the hard times!

Good luck with the checks @KatieLooLa let us know how they go. Cheeky pic of Ares wouldn't go amiss for these bloodshot eyes!

Thanks reassuring to know it sounds such a common thing from what I can read, I've not had any bleeding as yet and I take things steady as possible so hopefully everything continues to cook well! I can only imagine what it's like to loose your privacy in the toilet, mable still follows me like a shadow into toilet so what's harm in a little baby doing the same? ;) @CycloGoose is the best recommendation the sprits for bits or a empty bottle with cold water what does same?

KatieLooLa · 01/04/2022 15:12

@CycloGoose Here you go, one very fluffy Ares 😂
Will let you know as soon as about checks, not made appointment yet, probably will make it in the next week or two, just in case this is the month it happens (as doubtful as that may be!) x

kaylsd · 01/04/2022 15:28

@KatieLooLa hun never say never! Look at me I'm a true statistic in that after 17 month, gruelling tests panics and stresses of infertility appointments long cycles (longest being 116 days) pcos diagnosis with male infertility ready to start IVF then the month before being our only hope... and a then natural miracle happened! so yeah as much as I know hope doesn't feel alot when your facing a battle of something you are dying for, hope can change in darkest of circumstances and you never know what's round corner! Please keep us posted on here with your appointments so we can help!

What a gorgeous little fluffer 😍😍😍😍 our mabes needs a chop at the moment, she's more lion cub than ever!

KatieLooLa · 01/04/2022 15:58

@kaylsd Ares is malting something awful!
She looks so tacky at the moment, keep plucking the loose stuff on our walks, leaving husky glitter everywhere 😂 x
I'm trying to stay positive, not taking any tests despite how much I'd like to, never know though!
I quit smoking (3 months!) not drinking either so maybe it'll help x

CycloGoose · 01/04/2022 17:09

It's more the prep in advance - your perineal massage. The midwives couldn't believe I had no tearing at all with the speed I birthed him 🤣
I took a mini spray bottle from one of those Poundland holiday carry on sets but I never used anything in my hospital bag because we weren't in long enough.
I think the vast majority it moves. My mates placenta was huge apparently 🤣
Ohhh I love both your furbabes 💖

@CycloGoose must admit, I did cave during those 3 months, pinched a cig from a co-worker, took one puff and threw it away, tasted foul! I'm surprised how much my sense of smell had been affected, smell of smoke is horrid to me now x

kaylsd · 11/06/2022 13:35

@KatieLooLa @CycloGoose @els10
Hope your okay beautiful ladies!
31 weeks tomorrow, 9 to go and feeling as round as Humpty Dumpty on the wall but only difference is they can easily get up and down walls and I'd be a slow waggle up! Here's our mabes snuggling for a bump shot 🥰

Ahh amazing! Look at you!!! You must feel fabulous 🥰 how are you doing?

My bubs is just over 7 months now and she FINALLY hit the 0.4centile yesterday weighing in at 11lb 14oz! She's started babbling the last few days and has said dada today. Traitor.

kaylsd · 11/06/2022 14:10

@lucea87 omg I cannot believe how time has flown! And progress is progress they will get there even if it takes a little bit more time than usual, has the health visiting team coming out regularly? My friends going through similar and they referred to paeds ect and it's just the fact she's a small baby 🥰

I'm doing really well thank you sweetheart I've had the smoothest pregnancy ever no symptoms no particular issues other than a low placenta what I get checked out again at 32 week, measuring on 52nd so smack bang middle, everyone around me says how content I feel at life and they are so right 😍 how are you darling?

KatieLooLa · 11/06/2022 15:50

@kaylsd I'm good, finally managed to get referred to fertility clinic, so just waiting on a letter to come through. Made a TikTok for Ares in the meantime 😂 little madam got hold of 1/2 a sausage roll from local bakery the other day, she's usually so good if food is left out! We left the room to get something from the kitchen, came back to the bedroom and she was in the corner leisurely eating until I asked what she had in her mouth to which her response was to quickly inhale what was left!
Not long to go! Really happy for you and hope the rest goes as smoothly!
Hope all you lovely ladies are doing well x

@KatieLooLa that's amazing, I loved being honest and open about mine n DH infertility journey even in our pregnancy announcement we wrote a paragraph how we was waiting for IVF and took years to get we're we was, have you had your first appointments or in the middle of investigations? I found the frustrating part was the time between appointments ours ended up being like 3 month apart! Good luck sweetheart we are all behind you ❤️

KatieLooLa · 12/06/2022 08:42

All we've had so far is appointment with GP. So waiting for our first appointment with the fertility clinic, been told that once we have our first appointment it's pretty speedy from there with investigations and tests etc. X

The referral to infertility clinic from the GP to our local trust was around 3 monthly between appointments to investigate to follow up, then once they gave us male and female infertility diagnosis we hit criteria to be referred to assistance fertility which is like IUI IVF which we was under care and they were really quick :) every 2 week or so
