@MgW1 I have absolutely no clue! All she said was it looked like a little pimple 🤷🏼‍♀️ which sounds small so I'm hoping not tbh I've got enough problems without cysts too! 😂

@MgW1 oh sorry that you both had a cold. Weather has been crammy here in Canada too.
Hey I wanna a be hopeful cause my partner and I only DTD twice too. 😜 So fingers crossed for us both. Mine is saying how he feels this time is the time 🤣 he felt confident with his, um... Deposit.
Also no early ovulation this month which is a relief for me.
Now the dreaded waiting game begins. Maybe I should ask to hide my tests that way I can't test early 🤔🤭

Misty84 · 11/05/2021 21:56

@VixFromThe6ix @MgW1
We only dtd 3 times so I’m in the low numbers club with you two😂 🤞
The TWW is such a ridiculously long time to wait each month!! 😩

VixFromThe6ix · 11/05/2021 22:01

@Marvellouslymadmum hopefully it's nothing to worry about 🤞🤞 will you be doing follow-up testing?
I remember they told me I had a pretty big cyst on my ovary at one of my pregnancy ultrasounds and I freaked out. Turns out it's super common and they inflate and go down in size with the hormone changes... Still, I think it's the word 'cyst'... Makes it sound like something is wrong.
It should be together with moist and phlegm...words that should just go away 😅

VixFromThe6ix · 11/05/2021 22:02

@Misty84 it's the worst!! With the lockdown it's so hard trying to distract myself from thinking about it

Magnum99 · 11/05/2021 22:15

@Misty84 @MgW1 @VixFromThe6ix we only DTD twice this cycle too and the first time was probably too early, we were both just really run down and tired, I just couldn't be arsed.
But I conceived DS when I'd only DTD once so I know that's all it takes, however, I was only 25 and in the peak of my fertility 😏

VixFromThe6ix · 11/05/2021 22:24

@Magnum99 @misty84 @MgW1
One time is all it takes!! Let's stick to that truth and hope this is the one time it took 🤣🤞🙏

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7

I had my results sent through on the app - my iron is a little low, but my thyroid and hormones are fine. Spoke to the GP today, as they didn't take my day 3 bloods (AMH, FSH etc) and she said they won't be because we don't qualify for any investigations as we had a miscarriage last year. So in my area in London the rules for funding are apparently if you have ever been pregnant you don't qualify for investigations, even if there was no live birth. She said to get my partner a private semen analysis and if there are any issues she can then put us on the list to be referred. Also if I don't get pregnant again two years after the miscarriage date, I can go back. The investigations aren't limited to IVF, I cannot have clomid or any testing :(
This is absolutely horrible @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7, I’m sorry. I cannot deal with this f*cling unfair fertility system, it’s ridiculous. how are we all having such different experiences? Crazy. I’m in London too.

I have a bad GP and I was getting day 21 tests done years before we tried to conceive. Can you ask for day 21? Even if they won’t do AMH and day 3.

thislittlebird · 11/05/2021 22:50

Oh hang on @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7, the tests you mention at the start are probably day 21 tests, I missed that.

MgW1 · 11/05/2021 23:16

@VixFromThe6ix
@Misty84
Well fingers crossed its enough! I could not have managed anymore with him sniffling it really wasnt a great experience this month!! Last month we did it loads and its didnt work xx

MgW1 · 11/05/2021 23:18

And to top it off been on anti biotics for a urine infection 🤨 i have recovered now thank god but was worried dtd excessive would set it off again!!

Geriatric1234 · 12/05/2021 06:41

BLADDY ‘ELL!!! AF just arrived FOUR DAYS EARLY!!

Now - I knew I was probably out this cycle but was all geared up for the next one.... and this short cycle has scuppered the next one because based on my last few months of OPKs, I’m going to ovulate on Sat 22nd when I’m away with a mate from Friday PM!!! Should I just take a month off?

GODDAMMIT FLO. Work with me here!!!! 🤣

p.s- I’ve gone back over last ten years of my period logs and my shortest cycle is 24 days (has happened 7 times in last decade) and longest 31 (twice) so I think this variation isn’t too troubling. Probably due to all fertility vitamin supplements. But should I get progesterone checked to be safe? Xxx

Misty84 · 12/05/2021 07:39

@MgW1 Yeah we dtd loads last month too and it didn’t work, so it was quite demoralising and sadly just didn’t feel the same enthusiasm this month!
I can imagine it wasn’t very pleasant if your OH was sniffling through it haha!

@Geriatric1234 I think you should be ok, my period is usually on day 27ish but it has varied between 24-30 before and my progesterone is normal.

Bundaberg84 · 12/05/2021 08:32

I swear my cycles were regular as Swiss clockwork but since TTC they're going crazy!

Geriatric1234 · 12/05/2021 08:48

@Bundaberg84 RIGHT?!?! It’s like my womb knows!!! 🤣

Magnum99 · 12/05/2021 09:05

@Geriatric1234 I wouldn't worry too much about your weekend away, just DTD before you go and when you get back.
Those little guys can live for a few days so if you DTD before you go there might be some little guys still hanging around when you ovulate, you never know.
With TTC it seems to happen on the months you least expect it.
I was TTC for a year with DS and the month I did conceive I didn't think there was any chance because only DTD once and it was straight after AF, I didn't do a test until I was 7 weeks pregnant because I seriously thought there was no chance as it was so early in my cycle, in my defence I was spotting so I just thought AF was on its way.

KatRee · 12/05/2021 09:05

@Geriatric1234 As you said before your ov day is relatively early, I would imagine you have a decent length luteal phase even if you have a short cycle overall, so probably nothing to worry about, although never hurts to get checked for reassurance
I'm probably going to miss next two cycles after this one as OH going to his home country to see family- only going for 4 weeks, but if my cycles are short we'll probably miss 2 fw. And they vary enough for it to not be worth trying to plan around them- although again, might be explained by different supplements I've been experimenting with. I've decided that I'm going to use the month(s) we miss to up my supplements and get some tests done, so I still feel like I'm working towards something

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 12/05/2021 09:25

@Marvellouslymadmum and @thislittlebird I guess I'm just confused because its been seven months since the miscarriage, so being I'm over 35 I thought that qualified me for some testing. My periods have been crazy since it, now have settled 8 days shorter, and I sometimes have spotting in the week before period (never used to have this) - she said the most they can offer me is a chlamydia test 🤣 Little bird, no I haven't even had a progesterone test I don't think, just gonadotrophin, testosterone, serum sex hormone.

Marvellouslymadmum, that's crazy that you're having the opposite problem, in that they need your losses registered. Really sorry 😥

@MgW1 and @Misty84 I know I always feel especially gutted if I've put loads of effort into it that month!

Geriatric1234 · 12/05/2021 10:55

@Magnum99 You’re so right - thank you. Also I suppose I don’t know exactly when I’ll ovulate yet so no point worrying yet anyway!

@KatRee Thanks - you’re probably right that it can’t hurt to be sure. What tests are you planning?

@Misty84 thanks lovely. I suspect it’s all fine but I’m used to a more gradual shift in cycles rather than a 4/5 day jump. I probably need to chill! (LOL) How is all your IVF planning going? Xx

Misty84 · 12/05/2021 11:07

@Geriatric1234 Yeah I can definitely understand why that would feel alarming!

IVF planning going ok, first round in August. Not looking forward to it and really hoping a miracle happens before that. I wouldn’t mind so much if we weren’t having to pay for it!! Paying thousands just adds another layer of major pressure. But we’ll give it a go and see how I respond! Thanks for asking 🙂

Geriatric1234 · 12/05/2021 11:23

@Misty84 Oh that’s exciting!!!! (And obvs scary too) but so exciting!!!

CocoLady · 12/05/2021 11:33

I'm a bit late thanks for the add ! I just wondered if there's any vitamins or anything anyone recommend that can conception or boost my chances at all ?
Thanks hope everyone ok ! Xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 12/05/2021 12:13

@CocoLady I asked this a week or so ago (this thread moves so fast!!!) after reading It Starts With the Egg and asking what others are taking. After that I am now on:

-Zita West vitamins plus the antioxidant boost
-Omega 3
-Ubiquinol - 400 mg (although some were told to take 600 mg by their Dr but its expensive so just doing 400mg)
-Vit E - 200 mg
-Vit C - 1000 mg
-Vit D - 3000 mg
-NAC - 600 mg

  • Iron - 65 mg (the GP told me 65 mg a day for fertility, because although my levels are normal, for fertility you want a measure of 70 plus).
CocoLady · 12/05/2021 12:43

Oh wow ! Thankyou @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 ! And are all these good for fertility and babies health ? I only took folic acid and a multivitamin in my last pregnancy but I was 28! X

Misty84 · 12/05/2021 13:08

@CocoLady I take R-alpha lipoic acid, Ubiquinol, Vit B complex, Vit D, Vit E, NAC, and getting my levels checked for DHEA.

Like you @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I’m taking 400mg Ubiquinol instead of 600mg due to how expensive it is!!
