@VixFromThe6ix yippee!! Fingers crossed indeed!

@got2be that's the hope! 🙏🏾

ElsieG3m · 26/05/2021 13:59

@VixFromThe6ix absolutely everything is crossed for you!! Remember that odds are all will be well. Sorry I forget everything at the moment but is this your first positive/first pregnancy? Xx

got2be · 26/05/2021 14:00

@VixFromThe6ix maybe for your peace of mind call the clinic back but really as @ElsieG3m said they need to see it double and with your beautiful strong lines and such a nice level at 4weeks, I think you can relax now 😊😊
Sending all the positive vibes for the stickiest of sticky beans ❤️

VixFromThe6ix · 26/05/2021 14:03

@ElsieG3m this is my fourth positive test... Two were a Mc and one a chemical.

@got2be thanks, love! Thank you for the positive vibes. Let's see this number double 💪💪

Katiekattty · 26/05/2021 15:25

Congrats @GuessHowMuch
Keeping my fingers x @VixFromThe6ix

Currently feeling rubbish so I’m silent reading these days. I’m still waiting on my booking in appointment and we’ve decided not to do an early scan so I just have to be patient.

KatRee · 26/05/2021 15:35

Positive vibes coming your way @VixFromThe6ix! And yours too @Katiekattty 🤞🙏🌟

ElsieG3m · 26/05/2021 15:52

@VixFromThe6ix keeping everything crossed for you lovely!! But those are good strong lines so I think you've every reason to feel positive!!! Xx

VixFromThe6ix · 26/05/2021 16:00

@KatRee @ElsieG3m thanks, girls! Means a lot that you're all so supportive. Feels less lonely while I go through this

AnxiousWannabe · 26/05/2021 16:25

@VixFromThe6ix your lines are solid and you are still in early days. Worrying won't do you any good (though again easier said than done).

I googled...344 looks good ?
Typical hCG Results

4 weeks: 5 - 426 mIU/ml. 5 weeks: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml. 6 weeks: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml. 7 - 8 weeks: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml.

You're right... It won't do me any good. And you're right, I'm within where I should be. 😊🤞

I'm trying not to think about it. It's hard as I'm the person that usually overanalyzes everything. True Virgo lol

I guess I gotta remember that stressing over things I can't control is silly. Let's see what tomorrow's test brings and I hope I'll have a good update for you all on Friday.

Sticky bean! Sticky bean! Sticky bean!

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/05/2021 17:07

@thislittlebird yes definitely see what you can get done on the nhs first! Save a few pennies. Good luck with the urologist, I really think my oh should see one because of his infections but he won't! If the sa isn't good that'll hopefully give him a push though

@GuessHowMuch I can definitely see a line on those tests! Congratulations and let's hope for that sticky bean!

@VixFromThe6ix definitely sounds like a good level to me!

@AnxiousWannabe wow there's a lot of variation in those numbers!!

Best of luck for your next blood test @vixfromthe6ix , fingers crossed for you xx

VixFromThe6ix · 26/05/2021 18:16

@Marvellouslymadmum @Noodella18 thanks so much for the support 🙏

thislittlebird · 26/05/2021 18:19

Fingers crossed @GuessHowMuch

@Marvellouslymadmum I think it was worthwhile. Not cheap but worthwhile. He was very friendly, said we definitely were not unexplained and is sending DH for tests and scans. Says he thinks there’s no hormonal issues because he has plenty of hair, a good count and I quote “a very good pair”. He was very happy with him physically but thinks he might have a small varicocele.

Basically said you need about 20 million motile sperm and we have 11 million so it’s not ideal. Then said with my progesterone levels I’m unlikely to be able to sustain a pregnancy even if his sperm can reach the egg so he’s not surprised we haven’t conceived.

He also dictated a letter to the Lister doctor we’re seeing next week while we were there and they’re going to convene once the results are in.

It was to finally get help, even if it was pricey!

thislittlebird · 26/05/2021 18:22

Forgot to add because I’ll walking and typing...

@Marvellouslymadmum fingers crossed he’ll be more keen if the results are iffy.

@notyetamumbuttrying you might have a few more yet, fingers crossed

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 26/05/2021 18:26

@thislittlebird sounds well worth it! Maybe you can send a copy of the letter to your GP for your file also if it states there are definitive issues and you're not unexplained

thislittlebird · 26/05/2021 18:54

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 he was fairly, erm, blunt about the nhs classifying us as unexplained in the letter lol, so yes I could possibly use it but I’ll see how it sounds when I read it back.

He said do I have a medical background when I started reeling off stuff about AMH, AFC, PCOS and ICSI 😂. No sir, I just have a Dr Google degree and a Mumsnet Masters.

Misty84 · 26/05/2021 19:07

@thislittlebird That’s hilarious that he asked if you have a medical background!! The Lister consultant was also quite taken aback by my extensive knowledge on the supplements she was recommending, and knowing which ones I should pre-check my levels for etc! Haha! We are experts.

thislittlebird · 26/05/2021 19:15

@Misty84 my husband said, no, she just likes to do her research lmao. Honestly, if the doctors won't help us then we have to help ourselves, need to become experts to get anywhere with this stuff.

He was loving Alison Taylor when I said we're seeing her and he said they can convene on the results in 4 weeks. So that's good, I feel in safe (if expensive) hands!

Noodella18 · 26/05/2021 19:30

@thislittlebird great! Sounds like a really productive session! 👍👌

KatRee · 26/05/2021 19:41

@thislittlebird That all sounds so positive- What an improvement on all those frustrating NHS appointments. I'm sorry you've had to go through all that and part with your hard earned £ to get to this stage, but sounds like things are heading in the right direction now

thislittlebird · 26/05/2021 19:43

@KatRee yeah, it's frustrating. And we're not made of money but ultimately I think it will better for my mental health to get on with it privately than keep having to fight the nhs.

Now I need to motivate myself to lose weight before July (holiday, but August/September IVF probably)....how do I do that? The weather is making me want to do nothing but stay in and eat biscuits.

thislittlebird · 26/05/2021 19:44

Yeah @Noodella18, a relief to get help!

KatRee · 26/05/2021 19:48

I hear you! Nothing is worth more than your mental health. With you on the weather too- was going to go for a (very slow) jog after work but ended up curled up on the sofa with the cat and Netflix

birdbybird · 26/05/2021 19:52

Congratulations @GuessHowMuch.
Do you mind if I ask how old you are and how many days DPO?
I’m 40 and at the beginning of cycle 6. I did have a chemical in cycle 1 and MC in cycle 2 and couldn’t try properly in cycles 3 and 4.
