Hi ladies Grin Has anyone tried the SMEP i.e. Sperm Meets Egg Plan? Any success stories or reviews? I'm going to try it this coming month. I'm going into my 4th month ttc. Anyone want to join? 😂

Thanks @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7, I actually had strongest peak cd20 so 2 days ago 🤔 maybe temp spike in the morning 🤞🏼

tothemoonandback21 · 03/05/2021 09:54

Hi all, only CD3 here but BBT thermometer arrived today so working out how to use it/chart etc...feeling relieved to be out of the waiting-for-AF zone and onto the next month!

@xoJellyBean welcome, we're cycle twins! Also expecting to ovulate on 18th. Good luck! ✨

SemiFeralDalek · 03/05/2021 11:32

Hi ladies! How is everyone? I'm now CD 10, still low temps and have informed DH that "tonight, it begins" in an ominous tone, he's thrilled Grin

I'm really hoping thaty ovulation is brought forward by the SI because two weeks of dtd every 24-36 hours is exhausting Grin

xoJellyBean · 03/05/2021 13:49

@tothemoonandback21 omg totally twinning. I'm also cd3 🤣 would be amazing if we both got pregnant this month! I temp as well, it's an amazing insight to what your body is doing ☺️

tothemoonandback21 · 04/05/2021 11:27

@SemiFeralDalek this made me chuckle 😂

@xoJellyBean that's great, will be lovely to have the company! Really hope it's our lucky month 💖 Looking forward to temping, always desperate for insights in the 2ww so will be good to have something to focus on instead of just symptom-spotting!

xoJellyBean · 04/05/2021 20:31

@tothemoonandback21 never met anyone with the exact cycle as me 🥰 when are you planning to start?! I'm also getting post ovulation bloods done this month too 🤞🏻

tothemoonandback21 · 04/05/2021 20:58

@xoJellyBean I know, me too! Hmm when to start is tricky for later ovulaters I think, I thought CD10 maybe...how about you? Don't want to lose steam too early 🙈 I hadn't heard of getting post ovulation bloods before, is that to check that you've definitely ovulated?

xoJellyBean · 04/05/2021 21:12

@tothemoonandback21 I was thinking of cd10 too but I'm also afraid of running out of steam and missing the peak 🤣 are you using OPKs?
Yes it's called 'day 21 bloods' so you get your bloods taken around 7dpo and it checks your hormone levels, especially progesterone 🥰

tothemoonandback21 · 05/05/2021 10:18

@xoJellyBean ah that's interesting, sounds good. Yes I'm going to use the CB digital OPKs, I like that they're easy to read (anything to make all of this easier!) Main challenge at the moment is trying to temp before my DD pulls me out of bed...😬

purpleskyssssss · 05/05/2021 12:20

@xoJellyBean how did you go about the doctors allowing you to have 21 day bloods, I'm on cycle 6 but my cycle been very messed up this month and my ov sticks have been all over the place so not sure where I am Hmm I want to go to the doctors to see if they will do any test but I have a feeling they will tell me I haven't waited the year yet :(

xoJellyBean · 05/05/2021 12:30

@tothemoonandback21 aw bless her 🤣 is this baby #2 you're trying for?

xoJellyBean · 05/05/2021 12:32

@purpleskyssssss did you use contraception before trying? I stopped using my pill in October 2018 so when I called up my GP I just said that, she then followed up with asking if I had fallen pregnant since then to which I said no, think it was kind of a loop hole 🙈

tothemoonandback21 · 05/05/2021 16:08

@xoJellyBean no, TTC #3! Never thought I'd be saying that...! I was really lucky with my first two as I fell quickly without much effort, so feel like there's lots I don't know about all this now I'm actively trying. Bit nervous about it taking longer now I've passed the 35 mark too...x

xoJellyBean · 05/05/2021 16:36

@tothemoonandback21 aw wow!! Hope you get your bfp soon. :) I'm trying for #1 but no such luck just yet!

purpleskyssssss · 05/05/2021 17:33

@xoJellyBean aww yes that makes sense! Yes I was on the implant out in august they did give me the pill after but only took for one month as was not going to ttc until jan, but decided to start earlier so when I go Atleast I can do it from the implant date! hopefully won't get to that long though Smile

tothemoonandback21 · 05/05/2021 20:08

@xoJellyBean thank you, you too! Hope it's a lucky month for all of us 💖 Intrigued to see how many of us succeed with SMEP, I've heard good things about it...🤞🏻 Sending baby dust to all ✨✨✨

SemiFeralDalek · 07/05/2021 09:47

How is everyone getting on? I'm CD 15 and just got a positive OPK! A full 9 days before usual! Also had a slight temp rise, ewcm and aching boobs. So hoping the soy isoflavones have done the job. Been dtd every day since CD11 and will aim to keep going either every day or every other day till about CD30. I'm a little bit amazed though, usually I'm not even in my fertile week yet.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 07/05/2021 10:22

Ah wow @SemiFeralDalek that's great! I don't know if I mentioned on this thread, but I took them for two cycles and ovulated about 5 days earlier in each - brought my cycle length down to 26 days. There's a thread going on here somewhere where we are experimenting with doses etc and when

Bellesjp · 07/05/2021 18:26

I think I’m between 7-10dpo now, probs going to test on Sunday, have been good this month, usually I’m testing from 5dpo 😂 my boobs are really sore and I’m starving all the time but I’ve had that before and not been pregnant so don’t want to get my hopes up! Have carried on with opks a bit and still had some high readings which can be a good sign but again I’ve had that before too lol

tothemoonandback21 · 09/05/2021 07:53

Great news on the OPK @SemiFeralDalek ! That's amazing, I hadn't heard of those before.

Good luck testing this morning @Bellesjp !🤞🏻✨

CD9 over here...going to start CD11, looking forward to feeling like I'm back in the running again this month! Hope everyone's ok x

purpleskyssssss · 09/05/2021 09:25

Sorry I have been very MIA on this post, I have had the longest cycle in history and trust it to be when I decide to try SMEP 💤

I normally have regular cycles, ovulate between day 13-16, this month I had very different ov readings, thought I got my peak on day 24 but wasn't convinced as wasn't as dark as normal, so carried on testing but begin my 3 days just in case, then on day 29 got my actual peak (yesterday), Confused so we go again. On the plus hopefully we have covered ALL basis Wink but on the other half it's been a very tiring month as begin SMEP on day 8BlushBlush.

I think I may of had a CP last month, I had a very faint line but put it down to my eyes seeing things, then a very heavy period and long period and it would explain why my ovulation been pushed back 2 weeks HmmHmmHmm

Hope everyone is getting on well with SMEP can't wait to start seeing everyone's results! Fingers crossed for us all

Bellesjp · 09/05/2021 09:49

@tothemoonandback21 Thankyou, tested at 5am this morning and BFN, also caved and tested yesterday afternoon. I only used cheapies though so maybe too early. I think I’m either 9dpo or 12dpo as have 2 apps which are saying different as temp rise was before peak opk so not sure when I actually ovulated 🙈 will see what tomorrow brings!

Good luck for your new month 🙏

@purpleskyssssss wow that sounds like a long month!! You sound like you’ve well and truly covered all bases though, hope you have a chilled TWW! Sorry to hear about your CP last month x

SemiFeralDalek · 09/05/2021 11:56

Long cycles are incredibly frustrating @purpleskyssssss. It would make sense and correlate with a CP if you got a faint like and then delayed ovulation as well.u CP period was rough. So fingers crossed for you this cycle!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I think I posted on the SI thread last week but I've not kept up with it. I've decided I'm going to take each cycle as I go. It's definitely brought my fertile week forward, I'm on day 3 of high/peak opks (last cycle I had a solid week of them) which is annoying because it just seems excessive Grin and I sort of assume it means my body keeps trying and failing to actually ovulate. My temps are all over the place because I keep waking up in the early hours so premom keeps changing my ovulation day.

@tothemoonandback21 I hate 10-12dpo the most Grin fingers crossed for you tomorrow!

tothemoonandback21 · 21/05/2021 18:35

Hi everyone, sorry I've been quiet for a bit, busy week! I ovulated late on CD20 so now officially in the 2ww, just 1DPO. That's a lot of days to go 😅 Trying very hard to distract myself and not symptom-spot this time. BBT-ing for the first time which I'm finding helpful as a way of getting SOME information about what's happening in there.

I know this is a rookie question but does anyone use internet cheapie HPTs and would you recommend them? I wish I was someone who could be patient and not POAS early but that's just not me!! I'm not sure if the cheapies are more or less sensitive than the regular ones...

How is everyone getting on? Hope you're all well xx

purpleskyssssss · 21/05/2021 18:55

Hey @tothemoonandback21 how did you find SMEP this month? it's my first time trying SMEP and trust it to be my longest cycle yet! Didn't peak until CD 29, normally 14-16! However I do think I will keep it up for as long as possible until I get that BFP! It's made me feel I have done all I can and strangely felt less forced then previous months!

I'm 11DPO today but have had brown CM last 2 days and feel like AF is approaching! I have been using internet Cheapies this month and getting BFN because I am also a POAS addict! I have seen people get negative on internet cheapies and BFP on FR so I don't think they are as sensitive, but for me it's more just POAS otherwise I will keep thinking of testing and end up spending a fortune!! Don't feel too bad when I've only wasted a cheap one rather then £7-£10 each time!

I think if your ok with knowing your likely going to get negatives when testing early then I do think they do help, but that is just for me
