@Misty84 I've heard such great stories about hycosy/hsg. so fingers crossed x

bass123 · 23/04/2021 12:05

@Misty84

Thank you *@Kitekat81*.

I have it in a week and a half. 10dpo today and really hoping this is finally the month I get a BFP so I don’t have to start the ivf journey! But after nearly 2 years TTC it is pretty unlikely 😔
Not usually an early tester but getting tempted this cycle!

Hi @Misty84. I really hope you get your bfp. I am also thinking of doing IVF if I continue getting bfn. I'm 38 and I'm worried that it just won't happen, but also hopeful that I get a bfp this month also
Misty84 · 23/04/2021 12:26

@bass123 thank you, good luck to you also, how long have you been trying for?
It’s difficult isn’t it, I don’t really want ivf and have been predicted to be a low responder😟 but feel like I need to try!

Thank you @Misty84. We have been trying for about 6 months now.

AnxiousWannabe · 23/04/2021 12:55

I tested again after waking up nauseous and still not sign of af. Bfn still. And I feel depressed instantaneously. Feel like throwing up too lol.

I need to stop testing. Ladies - I am not gonna test. Pls pls hold me to it.

thislittlebird · 23/04/2021 13:17

@Misty84 I need to revive the plastics/cleaning products convo soon. Going to start reading the egg book which I think you’ve read already? We’re going to us up some products and try to make positive swaps. Need to do more research though, especially around organic and plastic free things.

Thinking of getting organic milk in glass bottles delivered, just need to find someone to do that, and once our current stuff is used up I’ll definitely look for shower gel/shampoo swaps etc.

Congrats to @TTCat39 and @VixFromThe6ix!

thislittlebird · 23/04/2021 13:21

@AnxiousWannabe I mean this kindly but you really should not test if it makes you feel bad. Some people do it constantly and that’s ok for them but it’s not for everyone. Testing won’t make you pregnant or not pregnant, just throw the tests away and only buy one if you’re late.

Testing is not for me, it’s too stressful after 15 cycles (and more months) of this it doesn’t get easier as time passes in my experience so it’s really not worth putting yourself through it unless you’re days late for your period.

AnxiousWannabe · 23/04/2021 13:37

Agree. I just keep caving. I wake up telling myself I won't do it but whenever I see any symptoms I cave.

I also mentally tell myself - hey if I get bfn im kicking my ovaries to get them working to kickstart af lol

thislittlebird · 23/04/2021 13:41

Have you tried logging your symptoms in an app? @AnxiousWannabe

Maybe it’s just that it’s still early days (I think you said four months?) but I’ve found I’ve now had all the annoying symptoms and it makes it much easier that I can go back and go “oh yeah, I had this silly symptom in November” and move on. Your body will play tricks on you, just assume everything is a period symptom until you’re a week late, because it probably is.

Misty84 · 23/04/2021 13:45

@thislittlebird I found the information about plastic the most interesting thing in the book and it’s easy enough to make some positive changes- not just to benefit egg quality but general health! After you read about the chemicals being released then believe me it’s a good feeling to make the swap!

thislittlebird · 23/04/2021 13:49

@Misty84 we’ve mostly had a chat about doing this stuff because of his sperm count. I’m going to have to ban him from perfumes too I think, which he’ll hate Confused. He likes to smell nice. There’s just so many things to potentially change that it’s annoying but we can only try.

Scents, cleaning products, toiletries, try to eat more organic (which is expensive and annoying Hmm) and we’re on a diet and exercise kick now we’re back from holiday. Well, we will be imminently. Would like to shift a few pounds before my fertility appointment in May.

Misty84 · 23/04/2021 13:50

@AnxiousWannabe I agree with @thislittlebird, once you’ve been in this game long enough you don’t read into symptoms anymore!🙃 I used to Google everything to death at the beginning but now I know my symptoms aren’t always exactly the same every month, and they have all resulted in AF! 🙄
I use Fertility Friend where you can log specific symptoms for each day, that might help you 🙂

I know it’s hard, it’s not a fun journey to be on!

Misty84 · 23/04/2021 13:55

@thislittlebird I haven’t done everything, we’re not buying organic as couldn’t get OH on board with that. But we’ve swapped all our plastic for glass and stainless steel, swapped cleaning products and toiletries.

thislittlebird · 23/04/2021 13:57

@Misty84 I’m going to investigate stainless steel and glass containers this weekend. Maybe some plastic utensil replacements too.

Also, do you have any cleaning and toiletry brand recommendations you’ve swapped to? I’ll look into this too.

He’s always on at me to use organic and it’s me that pushes back because cost usually. But I’m happy to swap things we’re using constantly (like milk) because it’s only a few pence more per pint.

Misty84 · 23/04/2021 14:04

@thislittlebird Yes we also swapped the plastic utensils. I’ll have a look at the brand names of the cleaning products when I get home. Good point about the milk! I might try and convince him just to swap that at least 🤞

AnxiousWannabe · 23/04/2021 14:14

@thislittlebird @Misty84

Agree - I just need to get it in my system to stop thinking. I wish my cycles work like a clock so I don't even need to guess..lol

It's like my ovulation and af both decided to go on vacation. Or gone mad. OV keeps lighting up smiley faces and af is playing hide and seek. Ugh

Misty84 · 23/04/2021 14:24

@AnxiousWannabe Yes I can understand that it’s definitely harder if you don’t have regular cycles!

AnxiousWannabe · 23/04/2021 14:50

@Misty84 I used to have bad cycles and it got better over the past two years. Almost like a partying teenager decided to settle down.

Then it got messed up a bit due to my stress this cycle I think. But God knows. Nothing in my current cycle makes sense to me. Flatline bbt. Multiple lh. Gooey cm. Bfn is probably the only consistency I have lol

Anyway weekends ahead ! I'm gonna try meditation and probably baking !

VixFromThe6ix · 23/04/2021 15:56

HCG doesn't wanna be friends with me lol I tested and the line is stilllllll as faint. What are the chances that this is a real pregnancy and not a chemical? I am either 12 or 13 dpo today.
Still not using a good pregnancy test till 14 or 15 dpo to be totally sure. Although I am worried it will still show positive even if it's chemical, right?

@VixFromThe6ix
My cp only showed up on clearblue but never on cheapie.

I think I found a good reason not to test. If u don't know u are not setting yourself up for disappointment.

It's just so so hard to rein myself in. But I promise to be good. Will report back on Mon. AF or no testing

AnxiousWannabe · 23/04/2021 17:38

I'm like a closet crack junkie that protest against drugs lol

MgW1 · 23/04/2021 17:40

@AnxiousWannabe
I keep testing!! I like weeing on sticks 🙈🤣🤣 BFN here at 12 dpo x

MgW1 · 23/04/2021 17:43

@VixFromThe6ix
Is it any darker though? Or same as yesterday? X

Misty84 · 23/04/2021 17:45

@AnxiousWannabe I’m ashamed to say I caved and tested, at 10dpo, stark white of course. And now I feel like crap. First time I’ve ever tested early but I felt so positive this month. Gone for a walk and just passing parent after parent with their children, and I think how did they all manage it?! Do they all realise how lucky they are?! And to top it off a pregnant lady rubbing her belly!
It’s just crushing to fail month after month 😞

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/04/2021 17:45

@bass123 38 isn't old, my mum and grandmother both had children at 39 (so I'm pushing it a bit at 42) and 6 months isn't long. They do say after 6 months you can get checked at the docs if nothing has happened yet and you're over 35 though so may be worth doing that.

@AnxiousWannabe I agree with @thislittlebird step away from the tests and just wait and see what happens

@thislittlebird how was your time away?

@VixFromThe6ix it's so hard to know but I can definitely see a line there! 🤞🏻
