I hereby invite you all to Minster’s First ever Eggy Tea Party...🥖🍍🍔🍦🍰🍫🧁held to celebrate the even slightest whiff of an Easter Ovulatory event...

Don’t fear Boris, it will be outside, socially distanced at various points of the UK & Ireland (other parts of the globe may attend), whatever the 🌞❄️⛄️we are up for it & often the sperm & 🥚stay apart at our gatherings too, even though we don’t want them too 🤣.

It’s a bring your own event, private chefs & hello fresh/gousto boxes may attend, pics of your offerings encouraged...🥦🌽🌮🥘🍝🍻🍹🍸🧉🍾☕️🍵🧃🥤🧋

Get your glad rags on ladies Cos we are having a party 💃🏼👯‍♀️👫& we can go OUT now! (Well we are done with stopping in aren’t we?)

This bus is the one where TTC happens in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh and we like an embarrassing story to get your ticket for entry please!

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens too explain my weird story & minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰
If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

@bez91 Call them at 8am for same day appointments and if that doesn't work then ask them to send the results to you as it's ridiculous for you to wait 4 weeks.

Got my NHS info through for the lap. It's a 7am procedure so at least that means I don't have to consciously fast beforehand lol, I'll just be asleep! Got a covid swab and pre assessment appointment 3 days before the surgery as well and will have to isolate after the test.

Kirky658 · 09/04/2021 13:55

@bez91 that's bloody ridiculous!!! I'd try for a same day appt as others have suggested as that sound a urgent to me.
@juno231 glad you've got your lap info hun, the morning ones are deffo better and less chance of the others running over too. When is it? X

Juno231 · 09/04/2021 14:07

@Kirky658 yeah I'm pleased with the morning slot! It's on the 27th this month. I'm sort of mentally preparing myself for endo just in case tbh - I've got psoriasis, used to have IBS for years and chronic urticaria which I think are all autoimmune disorders often linked to endo. Would explain the pulling/tugging at my right ovary I have throughout my cycle but more so in the LP as well!

Kirky658 · 09/04/2021 14:11

@juno231 that's great so not long to wait then. Yes definitely I was misdiagnosed with IBS for over ten years and it turned out to be because of endo on my uterosacral ligaments! Once it was removed it settled remarkably quickly. I'd just say to note down all your symptoms however minor you think they are as it helps the surgeon to pinpoint where they should be looking if that makes sense. Do you know the surgeon who is doing the op yet? You can look them up online normally which is pretty cool to see what they specialise in.

Juno231 · 09/04/2021 14:15

@Kirky658 I think it's my fertility doc! She's a gynaecological surgeon specialising laps and hysteroscopies. Which is probably why she suggested I get it tbh - more fees for her surely!

Minster2012 · 09/04/2021 14:27

@larrythelizard def progression there let's hope for earlier OV for you!

@bez91 well I think the consensus was 4dpo now as static smiley on Saturday but def some ewcm on Monday and none really any other day?? So Monday I think for actual OV. Cm def then went creamy/sticky. Yay for another on OV window! But my LH last time was 16 days. Just read your second message on the bloods, DEF call 8am everyday or say it's makin you really anxious. That's NOT good enough, say it's urgent.

@Ltay2 DS also had bad reflux, went through so many clothes hence why we still have so much, we are def here for you

@Franklydear loving that! We are all queens

@paintfairy it's like a THUD in the chest constantly 😜🤪

@Juno231 Thats a great time for a fasting appointment! First on the list boom!

@Justanothercyster thank you for the OV reassurance, i would love it to be real we might even put off ivf a bit longer

It's now beautiful sunshine here after snow earlier this week. Wtf!

Sorry been absent today ladies, started sorting through my wardrobe, swapping over my winter/autumn stuff to my spring and summer clothes, attempted a clear out when I realised I have 27 pairs of shoes/trainers/heels, but I could only part with 2 pairs🙄 it's lovely sunshine here now so just out with the dogs then taking OH to drop his car with the people who bought it last week, I think he's going through a phase😂

Hope everyone's having a lovely day☀️❤️

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 15:45

@Vil10 i wanted to do that today, wanted, still might

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/04/2021 15:52

@Minster2012 interesting on the baby signs. Thanks for the insight! And hope your sore boobs mean something!!
@Juno231 ah nice you've made and a new friend irl! Not heard of peanut before? Is it a social networking thing?
@bez91 can you call each morning and ask for a same day call? That's what I do with mine, hopefully your drs operate the same way?! That's insane if you can't speak to someone for 4 weeks about something so important! I'm so sorry they're putting you through this 💐
@Juno231 exactly the same as me and my lap apart from I'm in from 9am. Got my Covid test coming tomorrow!
@Vil10 wow so organised! I could prob do with doing that too. Just need to find the motivation 🤪

Billythecat · 09/04/2021 16:36

@notyetamumbuttrying I hope your lap goes well! I’ve had 2 so far for Endo and probably going to try to get referred again to put my mind at rest. I would highly suggest peppermint tea for the painful gas afterwards- I had really bad shoulder pains last time but I think it could have been partly avoided Smile

@Juno231 hope your lap goes ok too! It’s good to have one to know whether something is/isn’t an issue

@bez91 another short arse! Grin sucks that you are being given that wait time for test results. Hopefully you won’t have to wait that long.

@Minster2012 good to know about the food prep! I think we will have to try it at some point Smile I did manage to hide the eggs after all but was a bit of a half assed effort haha. DH offered to hide some for me but i just wanted to eat the chocolate Grin

Kittens on Monday! On our countdown now and am so excited! Going to get the last bits of shopping for them tomorrow. Will definitely share pictures once we bring them home Smile it’s been nice to have something good to think of while pain has been bad, hopefully it is starting to ease up. Everyone in our family seems super keen to visit once they are here! AF is over and back to POAS Grin

Vil10 · 09/04/2021 16:39

@Franklydear do it do it, I felt refreshed afterwards😂

@notyetamumbuttrying it was hard finding the motivation!! I actually started yesterday and got side tracked by choosing our room in Mexico then never finished with the clothes so had to finish it today!

@Billythecat aww you're getting kittens?? The bitch we stud our dog out too is due pups in about 10 days!

Thinkingandblinking · 09/04/2021 17:08

@Minster2012 I’m doing ok thanks lovely, just trying to ignore Im pregnant to get some time off the clock...I always miscarry between 9-12 wks so can’t assume all is ok yet! 8 weeks tuesday!

@bez91 I would insist they print of results and then go and get them and look up results. I did that on my screening results.

@Ltay2 my youngest dc was only 5lb and he had silent reflux GERD, ended up on omeprozole, apparently more common in low birth weight babies, we tried everything propping the crib, comfort milk, baby gaviscon, but it was only the proper medication that worked in the end! Not saying it is that but we struggled to get the answer to all the screaming and wriggling...

Juno231 · 09/04/2021 17:23

@Billythecat omg tell us more about the kittens!

For everyone asking - Peanut is like tinder but for mums or women TTC. So everyone has a profile and you can connect and chat to women locally. It's been useful for me as some are further along in the IVF journey and have told me which local hospitals to avoid if possible. Others are Swedish like me and it just feels nice to have that little piece of home somehow. It's been around for years I think and even the NHS recommends it :)

Minster2012 · 09/04/2021 17:51

@Vil10 I really want to do that, just kinda couldn't get the motivation whilst it was still freezing 🤪🤣but now it's gone warm again I think next week is the time! Next Monday maybe 🤔oh my god it's 10 days for pups already??? Why didn't you say and this bus should have been called the kitten & pupdate bus! I'm currently watching Paul o Grady for the love of dogs & it's soooooo cute I LOVE IT!!

@Billythecat a half assed effort is still an effort so def counts in my book! So excited for the kittens, yes you will be popular but say they can't go outside yet so they can't meet ppl 🤣 and good that they are there to take mind off TTC too though af gone 🙌🏻

@Thinkingandblinking 8 weeks, that's great, have you had a scan yet? Are you going to have one? Sorry I shouldn't ask. Trying to think of things you could do to take your mind off it but it's impossible I guess, errrrrrr but we are here for you lovely!

@Juno231 wow sounds interesting 🥜and you are Swedish! Who knew! The Nhs recommends it! Wow!

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/04/2021 17:54

@Billythecat thank you 😊 peppermint tea is being packed! Everyone has mentioned that so defo going in, thank you! Was endo found and removed each time? Can you remember where yours was/how bad etc? How long did it come bk between laps? Can't wait to see kitten pics on Monday 😍
@Vil10 Mexico is the July hol right? Hope you get to go!
@Juno231 ahh good to know! Might look it up then. Another app to get addicted to 😆

2020mission · 09/04/2021 18:59

@Juno231 I went to sign up to peanut but got scared someone I know locally might be on it and then find out I'm TTC 😅 like work colleagues. It does seem ideal otherwise though. I'll definitely join if I conceive as I won't need to hide at that point and would be good to meet local pregnant ladies!

paintfairy · 09/04/2021 19:04

@2020mission yeah that's what I thought about it! Don't want to come across people I know!
@Juno231 definitely a good appointment time! Plus you don't have to stress all day worrying about it.

Ltay2 · 09/04/2021 19:05

@Thinkingandblinking That is interesting! If he doesn't improve on gripe water I'm definitely going to speak to the GP about it.

Had my mum round today from 2pm to 6pm and it was so nice to just have a cuddle and cry. I had a little nap and we went out for a walk but other than that it was so nice to have someone other than OH to talk to. Don't get me wrong OH has been amazing but sometimes you just need your mum! I'm going to her house with baba on Wednesday for the day just for a change of scenery and really looking forward to it already.

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 20:01

Different parenting styles are the work of the devil, dh got ds stressed with something he should do, but won’t when stressed, so I let him finish the activity and play on iPad, dh got the hump, it needs doing, true, but won’t happened when stressed so better to leave it and try again tomorrow , he did about 3/4 of it, there’s absolutely no point on getting frustrated with this, he’ll try again tomorrow, once stressed it’ll just won’t happen no matter how grumpy you get

Kirky658 · 09/04/2021 20:22

@notyetamumbuttrying When's your lap now hun? Second the peppermint tea, I hate the stuff, so got some extra strong mints and some peppermint capsules too they worked a dream. For me the first surgery was diagnostic and they excised a 3cm nodule of endo from my uterosacral ligament and some residual around my pelvis and had the mirena inserted. Was under for 45 mins. This time round I was under for over 90 mins and they removed again from the ligaments, surrounding pelvis, excised an endometrioma from my ovary and did the dye test. If you can do - try and jot down what the consultant says to you when they see you once you've come round it really helps for the next steps if needed. For me my endo wasn't excised properly first time round but it was 2 years between laps and it had come back badly. But its hard to say as some ladies get years of relief.

@juno231 ahhh cool. Good she's a fertility doc hopefully she will look after you. Deffo recommend the peppermint tea for you too to get rid of the gas that gets trapped in your shoulder. Also a pillow for the car journey home to put under the seat belt. X

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 20:23

Well kebabs for dinner as a peace treaty apparently, I might not sign the divorce papers today

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/04/2021 20:55

@Kirky658 thank you for that hun! I'll take it all on board 🙂 it's on Tuesday so not long now! 😬 have heard excised is the preference over ablate so I'll be asking for that where possible! I've been so sore since this Tuesday. Had a TV scan and the discomfort is still there 😣 it wasn't like this with previous scans, odd huh! How are you? How many weeks are you now?

@Franklydear ooh yummy! Love kebabs! Enjoy 😉

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 20:58

@notyetamumbuttrying yea, not a bad peace offering

Kirky658 · 09/04/2021 21:03

@notyetamumbuttrying no worries pal happy to help! ♥️ Yes excision is the gold standard so do push for that. Oh god TV scans always used to kill me for days after. Hated them. I'm ok thanks hun, had a few down days but otherwise OK. I'm 17 weeks now, time is flying by! Xx

larrythelizard · 09/04/2021 21:09

@Franklydear DS has turned into the devil the last few days with non-stop tantrums and I fear about differing parenting styles. Tonight DH decided to die in a ditch about getting DS in his high chair for dinner whereas I didn't care as long as DS was at the table! Need to discuss consistency and picking your battles with DH...

I don't know anything about endo but wishing you a speedy resolution @Juno231.

@bez91 4 weeks?! That is shit!! I agree I'd be hounding them daily for a cancellation!!

Ovulation sticks continued to get darker so I think I'm on for ovulation - 2 days sooner than the last few cycles 🥳🥳🥳
