I hereby invite you all to Minster’s First ever Eggy Tea Party...🥖🍍🍔🍦🍰🍫🧁held to celebrate the even slightest whiff of an Easter Ovulatory event...

Don’t fear Boris, it will be outside, socially distanced at various points of the UK & Ireland (other parts of the globe may attend), whatever the 🌞❄️⛄️we are up for it & often the sperm & 🥚stay apart at our gatherings too, even though we don’t want them too 🤣.

It’s a bring your own event, private chefs & hello fresh/gousto boxes may attend, pics of your offerings encouraged...🥦🌽🌮🥘🍝🍻🍹🍸🧉🍾☕️🍵🧃🥤🧋

Get your glad rags on ladies Cos we are having a party 💃🏼👯‍♀️👫& we can go OUT now! (Well we are done with stopping in aren’t we?)

This bus is the one where TTC happens in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh and we like an embarrassing story to get your ticket for entry please!

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

@Minster2012 I was the same!! But I thought with being off for Easter I'd be annoyed with myself if I go back to work and I haven't done anything I set out to do! I know!! How quick has that gone I can't believe it!!! They think it'll be 18th/19th, so we'll keep our phones on loud throughout the night just in case! Aww I love that!! Good luck with your 2nd jab, I'm sure your Chinese later will perk you up🤞🏼❤️

@notyetamumbuttrying June holiday😩 it's pretty touch and go, it's frustrating because I'd rather just know either way, like should I start buying holiday clothes, should we choose our room/seats etc, we chose our seats on the plane other night and it came to £76 then said it's non refundable if the flights are to be cancelled so I thought no sack that, with us not even knowing if we'll be going or not I thought we'll wait for clarity first then book them! How you feeling about your lap? It's come round so fast!!

@Kirky658 I've recently started taking lactulose for my ibs and it's been working quite well!!

Minster2012 · 10/04/2021 08:58

Ahhh I see @Franklydear yes that def makes sense it makes it bad enough with a stressed non autistic child trying to get them to do anything 🤣good thing for the kebab! Yeah totally get the risks are very small I'm happy we just laugh that I get EVERYTHING that aren't even related. My "sticky blood" is 1 in 10,000 people & not a problem (though maybe slightly higher miscarriage risk) but yep I'll have it on top of the cancer & everything else! So it's like my body will go "ahhhh go on I'll take it for the team" 😝🙋🏼‍♀️

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/04/2021 09:02

@Vil10 when will you decide or you just waiting to see if it gets cancelled or not? Things seem to be going well still with the easing out of lockdown so hopefully it'll go ahead! I'm feeling good about the lap, have been reading about how much it improves chances of pregnancy etc so I'm keen to get it done and also to see how bad it was/is down there. Be nice not to get such bad period pain and pain after sex (sometimes during too). Bit nervous about the general as never been under before but trying to steer away from those thoughts.

paintfairy · 10/04/2021 09:17

@bez91 it has to be under 10, so that's the main thing! How old are you? If the 91 on your username is an indicator, then I would say that it is high for your age. Just means you need to get cracking sooner rather than leaving things, that's all!

DKDK123 · 10/04/2021 09:49

@Juno231 you'll have to let us know how your peanut date goes once lockdown has lifted! I think its a great idea but I think I'd be scared that once I met I didnt click with them and was stuck with them wanting to be friends......I think it would be much easier to brush off a guy date than a girl friend 😂 Good news on the early lap appointment tho, saves you waiting around that day 🥳
@2020mission @minthumbugs fellow Scot here, I'm only about an hour from Glasgow 😊

@Katiekattty tequila nights always end with a story 😂 welcome on board.

@Ltay2 glad to hear Evan is gaining weight. I was told premies are very prone to digestive problems in the early weeks because their digestive system is still so immature and I'm sure they said something about little kinks or little twists in premies bowels that soon straighten out more as they develop, I cnat quite remember but it made sense at the time. It feels like forever at the time and its heart-wrenching to see them in so much pain and discomfort but it does pass. Lack of sleep, hormones and general mum anxiety all mixed in together is hellish so be kind to yourself, hopefully it'll pass but if it doesn't just keep speaking to your midwife or contact your GP, dont struggle alone. I dont think any of the baby books ever prepare you for just how physically and emotionally demanding being a mum can be but even on days where you feel at your worst just remember that you are Evans whole world and he thinks you're the most amazing mum ever, even if you don't feel it yourself 😘

@Vil10 I wouldnt be packing away the winter clothes just yet, you know what our weather's like! 😂 We had glorious sunshine followed by snow then hail yesterday 🙄

@Dollybird89 once you get your new fitbit set up pm me your username and I'll add you to our fitbit challenges motivate each other to keep moving 😊

Hope you don't feel too crappy after your jab today @minster2012 but hooray for getting the 2nd one another step towards normality ......whatever that is these days 🤔

I spent all day yesterday being sick after eating some dodgy salmon for breakfast. My own fault I did think when I took it out the pack it smelled extra fishy but proceded to have it anyways 🤦‍♀️ 3 year olds have zero sympathy and zero mercy for a sick parent and I must say it did cross my mind that maybe having to wait till he's a bit older to have another kid isn't such a bad thing afterall. I had horrendous morning sickness with him and one day of sickness and coping with a toddler was torture yesterday, I dont know how I'd cope with months of it! Luckily I'm back to normal today and the sun is shining....for now so wellies on and up the fields we go.

Kirky658 · 10/04/2021 11:19

@notyetamumbuttrying I was terrified of the GA both times. The anaesthetists are fab though and Talk to you and give you a relaxant to calm you down. You do wake up feeling like you've had the best sleep ever!

Crazydoglady123 · 10/04/2021 11:54

@Minster2012 omg where do I even begin! Thank you so much for my parcel. That was sooo sweet of you, you've made me cry! The picture is beautiful your little boy made and I love the journal. Thank you so, so much ❤️
Just read about your jab! How are you feeling? And where are you in your cycle now?

@larrythelizard yay to a static! Fingers crossed this is your month 🤞 I've been keeping up with my acupuncture and I actually look forward to it now!

@blackcurrantqueen good luck for your hysteroscopy Wednesday!

@Dollybird89 eek that's early!

@Ltay2 you're doing amazing. Broken/lack of sleep will affect your mood and of course the worry of your beautiful baby just adds to the anxiety. Keep talking about it and make time for yourself, rest when you can and take each day at a time 🤍

Ltay2 · 10/04/2021 12:15

@DKDK123 @Crazydoglady123 Thank you so much ❤️ yes I have been told that his digestive system still needs time to develop which does make sense. He had a bit more of a settled night last night so managed to get a bit of sleep in between feeds. I'm feeling more positive today too, spent the morning writing out our wedding save the date cards so was nice to do something non baby related! OH is off work tomorrow and Monday too so that will be nice to have some time together.

larrythelizard · 10/04/2021 13:05

Hope your jab goes ok today @Minster2012 - they sound like sensible precautions

@Ltay2 id also recommend cranial osteopathy - DS was quite unsettled before we had it.

Thanks @Crazydoglady123 I hope so too! I always hope it's everyone on here's (apart from @Vil10 actually who's just along for the ride!)

@notyetamumbuttrying I've had a few GA's for things and they're ok. I've often felt quite weepy after so don't be surprised if you do

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/04/2021 13:06

@Kirky658 I've heard that! I'm most excited for the feeling of a good sleep above anything else 😂 mines been shocking of late!
@blackcurrantqueen sorry hun, missed your post this morning about your hysteroscopy. I get peaks on cd10 and 11 but then I always have so it's normal for me. So you're still in with a chance then as you'll ov tomorrow or do you have abstain for the op?
@Ltay2 ah glad you're feeling more positive and sounds like a nice morning! When's the wedding planned for?

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/04/2021 13:07

@larrythelizard ah ok, good to know thanks 😊 I'm a constant ball of emotions anyway so good to know they'll be a decent enough reason for it 😂 how's things with you?

Minster2012 · 10/04/2021 13:12

Feeling ok after jab thanks ladies, still felt a bit weird answering "no, no chance of being pregnant, and not TTC for 3 months" 😬@Crazydoglady123 you are very welcome lovely & loving the ferti-lily thank you! I'm about 5 dpo I think?? I got static smile last Saturday but ewcm on Monday?? So could be more but going by Monday I think

@DKDK123 god so pleased you feel ok now

@Ltay2 that's really exciting on the save the dates too! Enjoy!

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/04/2021 13:23

@Minster2012 glad you're feeling ok hun x

Ltay2 · 10/04/2021 13:30

@larrythelizard cranial osteopathy sounds pretty scary but will keep it in the back of my mind for if nothing else helps!

@notyetamumbuttrying our wedding is booked for November 2022 so hopefully can all go ahead as normal by then!

@Minster2012 It's made the day go quickly so far and been so nice to focus my brain on something even if it was only to write out addresses correctly 🤣

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/04/2021 13:49

@Ltay2 gosh you'd hope so eh!! Enjoy all the planning, sometimes it's stressful but usually caused by others 😂

Vil10 · 10/04/2021 13:55

@notyetamumbuttrying we really aren't sure what to do, because even from green list countries you have to have a test before and after your holiday and neither of us can risk testing positive when coming home because of work and that'll mean the dogs having to be in the kennels for an extra 10 days after already being there for 2 weeks! Neither of us have had the vaccine and to be honest unless it means me not going on holiday I won't be rushing to get it! I just hate all the uncertainty!! Hopefully they can give you some answers and it all works out🤞🏼 don't worry about going under, I hate anything like needles or any stuff like that so I was worried when I did but it literally feels like you wake up 10 seconds later, and that you've had a banging sleep😂

@DKDK123 omg now you've said that it's sleeting a little bit here😂 it was nice and sunny this morning too!!

@larrythelizard hahaha literally just here for the laughs and to follow everyone else's journey!! You'll have all pissed off by the time I'm TTC again🤞🏼😂

blackcurrantqueen · 10/04/2021 14:17

@larrythelizard what CD are you?
I am CD 11 and seemingly gone straight to peak! Very strange!! Quite early for me and I've also just feel I've had a weird cycle this month!
Were you trying to extend your LP with acupuncture? Xx

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks lovely! So I am supposed to abstain as theoretically can't be pregnant. But if ov is tomorrow surely on Wednesday I wouldn't technically be pregnant ? 😂😂

@Minster2012 hope the jab went ok, 💕💕💕

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/04/2021 14:37

@Vil10 ah I see. Hate uncertainty and waiting! So frustrating 😣
I'm so excited for the good sleep, it's bloody needed! I also hope I won't have an appetite and it kick starts my weight loss!
@blackcurrantqueen I mean I'd be tempted to go for it but I'm not a medical professional 😬
I could be pregnant for my op but I highly doubt it as I think endo is causing our infertility now that the sperm is improved! Well that and my low amh 🤪

paintfairy · 10/04/2021 14:49

@blackcurrantqueen no, but you can't have the potential to have a fertilised egg floating around in there either. Which is why you have to abstain. They won't risk it.
@Vil10 the whole holiday thing is a nightmare tbh. If you test positive going and can't go- does that mean you lose your money? That's the risk I'd be worried about. Coming back would matter less to me but that's because i can wfh. It's just a massive unknown and it's stress that you don't need when a holiday is meant to be for destressing!

Vil10 · 10/04/2021 14:58

@notyetamumbuttrying me too!! Hahaha it was the opposite for me, when I came round I just wanted junk food!! I put on so much weight after my op😂

@paintfairy so if we test positive before we go our insurance covers it, however nobody can get insurance out to cover covid unless you wanna pay almost £300 each or unless you have it with your bank etc which we don't because we changed banks last year and just forgot to get the premium with holiday insurance, but we're going with Tui and we can change or move our holiday if we test positive, but if we test positive when we get there we have to spend 10 days of our holiday self isolating in the room😩 you're right, going on holiday should be relaxing and exciting but all it's caused so far is confusion and stress!!

paintfairy · 10/04/2021 15:13

@Vil10 oh its good you can move it before if needed. They all work so differently it's hard to know what's going on. But I definitely wouldn't want to be locked in my room when I got there! Can you imagine? 🙈 My neighbours opposite actually were in lanzarote when lockdown 1 hit. And they got locked in for a week. With a baby. They are definitely reluctant to go anywhere again in a hurry. 🤣 I don't blame them!

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/04/2021 16:18

@Vil10 nooooooo I don't want to hear that 🙉😂

2020mission · 10/04/2021 17:34

@notyetamumbuttrying I've had a general anaesthetic... probably for the most pathetic reason it was when I was a teen they found I had a tooth in the roof of my mouth (not visible) just seem on an X-Ray at the dentist so they sent me to hospital to dig it out. It was a quick needle in the hand and within a few number counts you're falling asleep. I was feeling sick all day after it and I actually remember getting my mum to eat half my sandwich as they wouldn't let me check out until I had ate a full sandwich but I couldn't face it all 😂 so it was the opposite and no appetite for me! I woke up with the gown half off me though and apparently it's cause I woke up during the procedure 😬 and panicked but I don't remember it. I think they put the minimum amount in so you easily wake up after and it just wasn't enough for me. I wouldn't worry about it though. Over in a flash!

Vil10 · 10/04/2021 17:43

@paintfairy I have to keep reading the Tui website so I can keep up to date!! It would be the worst thing ever, spending all that money on a holiday to be locked in your room majority of the time! Oh god I don't blame them either, sounds horrendous!!

@notyetamumbuttrying hahaha you might be the complete opposite! One thing I did notice though, I couldn't really feel my legs and first time I got up for a wee I had to be wheeled there, but that's probably because the op I had was on my back, my wee absolutely stunk, apparently anaesthetic can cause that😂 and I was really bloated for about 3 days!

DKDK123 · 10/04/2021 18:09

I know quite a few of us have been feeling a bit anxious or low lately (ttc pressures on top of covid mixed in with normal life pressures I think we all deserve a medal just getting out of bed some mornings to be honest!). I found an app I started using quite CBT based and free just thought I'd pass it on if anyone's interested its called Woebot so far I'm liking it 😊
