I hereby invite you all to Minster’s First ever Eggy Tea Party...🥖🍍🍔🍦🍰🍫🧁held to celebrate the even slightest whiff of an Easter Ovulatory event...

Don’t fear Boris, it will be outside, socially distanced at various points of the UK & Ireland (other parts of the globe may attend), whatever the 🌞❄️⛄️we are up for it & often the sperm & 🥚stay apart at our gatherings too, even though we don’t want them too 🤣.

It’s a bring your own event, private chefs & hello fresh/gousto boxes may attend, pics of your offerings encouraged...🥦🌽🌮🥘🍝🍻🍹🍸🧉🍾☕️🍵🧃🥤🧋

Get your glad rags on ladies Cos we are having a party 💃🏼👯‍♀️👫& we can go OUT now! (Well we are done with stopping in aren’t we?)

This bus is the one where TTC happens in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh and we like an embarrassing story to get your ticket for entry please!

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens too explain my weird story & minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰
If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

Marking my place, still here slowly checking in!

Evan was reweighed yesterday and is now 5lb 2oz so is gaining weight well despite his constant reflux. He's 4 weeks old on Monday so we can start using gripe water and hopefully it will make him feel better as it's not nice seeing him constantly grunting and straining to pass wind and poo! I've been struggling with what I thought might be the starts of PND but the midwife seems to think it's fairly normal feelings at the moment but been told to get in contact with the GP if I get worse. Just constantly anxious and on edge all the time even when he's asleep and fine. He coughed up a bit of blood a couple of days ago which has only added to the anxiety although it was only a tiny amount, a few specks, so doctor and midwife thought it would be from his throat maybe being irritated from all the straining and wretching. Nothing since so all good there. OH is now back at work and out 12 hours a day which is tough but my Mum is coming over today after lunch to give me a chance to nap and have someone to talk/cry to.

Lexber · 09/04/2021 09:58

@Minster2012 I'm not even in my first cycle yet 🤣🤣🤣
I just want to get started! OH is adamant everytime we dtd his super sperm has got me pregnant - good luck fella you need an egg for that 🤣🤣🤣

minthumbugs · 09/04/2021 10:01

Awww @Ltay2. Congratulations on baby Evan! ❤️

Even when it's all you want in the world it's such a difficult time. It feels impossible to take care of yourself too, especially when your OH is working. Hand hold xx

Minster2012 · 09/04/2021 10:07

So @Franklydear you are in TWW now, anyone with you other than me ahead of you?

OP posts:
minthumbugs · 09/04/2021 10:07

Minster2012 · 09/04/2021 10:09

@Ltay2 that sounds really tough hun, but amazing on the gaining weight you are doing fantastic! Must be hard with the coughing up blood and OH working too, make sure you use your mum then to cry and take time to try and rest, sending big big big hugs you are doing GREAT! 😘🙌🏻xxx

@Minster2012 that's really good they hurt! I get that after ov all the time 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

larrythelizard · 09/04/2021 10:15

@Minster2012 twatface yes good description! DH got cramp in the middle of it all last night which put us off our stride and we nearly gave up! I've stopped reading anything into anything so no comments on your boobs other than yes, they are annoying (massive boobs here always getting in the way!) I think @Franklydear summed it up best!

And yes @Minster2012 it's day 21 bloods. Due to covid the clinic isn't operating its satellite clinic 15 miles away so having to go to their main facility an hour away so have booked Monday afternoon off work. Also getting a patch test as my hairdresser won't dye anyone's hair again until they've had one - got an appt but not until start of May!

@Ltay2 keep talking to everyone, maybe go and talk to your GP instead of just midwife? I felt similarly anxious with DS until he was about 6 weeks and then more relaxed but you know if you're feeling in the realms of normal or not.

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 10:28

@Minster2012 @minthumbugs af due 22nd
@Lexber it’s the bitter experience, 18 months and counting
@Ltay2 yes, and nothing more to do than worry, he's gorgeous, all is well, just get everything checked out, good your midwife is supporting you, and so good your mum coming over

Minster2012 · 09/04/2021 11:15

Twatface describes so many things @larrythelizard it's a running thing since I found a meme for it since my birthday last July! Poor DH hate it when that happens! Oh god I didn't even consider that for my hair either?! I've got an appointment end of April. Damn it

Cottage pie done for tonight with leftovers for lunch tomorrow as my computer decided to do an hours update. Mint 🤨

Oh I think my hairdresser is really diligent @Minster2012 - it's a bit of a pain but can't really fault her for it!

Clear Blue OPK may not be showing the progress I expected by the cheapie OPKs are...pleased with this, think it means ovulation is on its way (just not quite as early as I'd hoped - but then any earlier than day 21 would be a change!)

bez91 · 09/04/2021 11:50

@Ltay2 that's great news he's gaining weight! Really sorry to hear you're struggling with how you're feeling, I suffered with PND myself. I don't have a shed load of advise but trust your gut, don't let your midwife/health visitors brush it off as baby blues if you think it's more than that and insist on help. Many women find 6 weeks the magic time when anxieties start to ease etc but if you don't then ask for help, even just talking to DH/ mum whatever will. Don't bottle it up.

@Minster2012 have many days past ov 🥳 do you think you are?
@minthumbugs me too, think today is ov day for me but not sure

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 11:53

@larrythelizard mine has put a note on Instagram to book a colour test a week before your appointment, she just want an up to date test as it’s been so long for many people, I have one for early may too

Ltay2 · 09/04/2021 12:05

Thank you for the support ❤️

I'm hopeful that once he settles with his reflux and wind then I'll start to settle too. Hopefully the 6 week mark is a good marker for us too.

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 12:10

Dhs turn to have a lay in... I might need to make lunch myself, still not up! He is on holiday but needed to answer urgent emails yesterday which led to phone calls with the boss, well, I call that working from home?

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 12:12

@Ltay2 remember, this is a ttc bus full of mums, here to help anything you need, you got this, the autism specialist nurse always finish the appointment with you’re doing a good job, sometimes I need to hear, you too are doing a good job

Sorry I started to reply to everyone earlier and then my friend arrived. We had a nice time in the park with her little one ☀️

@Ltay2 that must be super tough, but keep strong you are doing an AMAZING job for bub. He is very lucky to have a mum who cares so much and please do keep talking to everyone, you're not alone x

Hope everyone else is ok x

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 13:02

And DH is now pissed off I let him sleep too long 🤷

bez91 · 09/04/2021 13:24

@Franklydear oh no, you can't win can you 😆 me and DH have that discussion often.

Ladies, feeling a bit shitty which isn't like me tbh. Doctors sent me a letter, got results back from my first lot of 2-5 day bloods last week. They asked me to call them to discuss results. Had a quick look online and all it says "Menopausal hormone profile - abnormal" rang the doctors surgery and no one is available to speak to me until 7th May (4 weeks away) wahooo! So not being medically minded I'm assuming they're going to tell me I'm going through early menopause at 30 or something. Just feel really helpless, I know they don't see it as urgent as it's not life threatening but if there's something wrong with MY body I'd rather know now not wait 4 weeks for a phone call 😔

Franklydear · 09/04/2021 13:28

Oh no @bez91 that's such a long wait, would being a nuisance and calling to check for cancellations would hurry them up?

minthumbugs · 09/04/2021 13:38

Yeah @bez91 I would try phoning everyday for cancellations! I would say tell them it's making you really anxious but don't know how much that will hurry them along. Hugs. Xx

paintfairy · 09/04/2021 13:39

@bez91 do you have the actual results? So you can look up yourself what they mean? 4 weeks is ridiculous!
@Ltay2 I have zero useful information to give, but I am sure you know yourself how you feel etc. Have a good chat with your mum, always makes you feel better! I think 6 weeks is a good bench mark for you.
@Franklydear your posts crack me up sometimes!
@Minster2012 I used to get the boobs thing second half of every cycle. I don't now. 🤷‍♀️ But they were always bigger too. Which was good for nights out but not for horse riding and any other activity, as you have found! 🤣
