Thanks for all of the lovely support 😊 I'm still feeling quite lost in general but only because of my weight really. My doctor has asked me to book a face to face appointment to talk to her to see what next steps are best (aka what weight do I need to get to, for a referral to be taken seriously even if I'm not quite at the right weight yet). I think I've talked about food, diets, exercise and weight loss so much in the last two days I've actually properly driven my husband mad 😂 think he prefers me obsessing about babies!!

Hope everyone is ticking along nicely, look forward to some positive outcomes. Fingers crossed for you @Carol1980, @Makingnumber2! 🤞🤞

@MrsKin90 I’ve been thinking of you and your DH- it’s great you have an appointment with doc to discuss weight and referral. I hope they willing be supportive and do all they can to get the referral done ASAP for you- will keep everything crossed they are happy to ‘do a deal’ about at what point of your weightloss they will refer you at. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Carol1980 sorry you got a BFN- could still be too early and
I think it’s a good idea to carry on with cream until AF shows (which I hope she doesn’t).

I had my second bloods done today- as they need to see what my hcg Levels are doing to work out if it’s likely retained product or new pregnancy. I think regardless of the result they will offer a scan at some point. They said if it is RPOC they will need to confirm what things are looking like in there and if it is new pregnancy they will want to check location of it and I guess confirm if it’s viable? The nurse told me I should have blood results by phone this evening which is amazing and sounded a bit too good to be true...! I did another test yday afternoon and still a line and in my opinion it is darker than before, but it could be wishful thinking. Luckily I’ve got other things to take my mind off it a bit- albeit baby related still- but my sister had her baby yday so it’s all been very exciting waiting for news etc as the labour was pretty long over a few days. Think my mum was worried it would upset me but actually I’ve felt really happy about it all which is good. Clearly my stomach sink response is only to new pregnancy announcements!

Hi everyone. Haven't posted for a while.

Had some unexpected bad news re IVF. Was told by the consultant that all my test results had come back looking very good and so I was feeling quite positive that it would be an option. But as my day 21 progesterone had come back low on the wrong day, I had to re-do it. That was fine and showed I'm ovulating so I was expecting the follow up call to be positive. But it was a completely different doctor and told me that while my AMH at 14 is very good for my age, my antral follicle count is only 3 which is very low and might mean that I get 4-5 eggs from IVF but quite likely none. I've looked up online and they don't recommend IVF if it's less than 4.

So that's not great. It's a lot of money to gamble on a chance that seems to get smaller every time I get more info.

Meanwhile I'm 5dpo after two inseminations with the donor. Had a few twinges which am trying not to symptom spot on but it would be so lovely if this was the month.

@Makingnumber2 congratulations on becoming an Auntie (first time or do you have others?). I'm glad this has made you happy not sad. I love being an Aunt.

I know we will all be holding our breath for those Hcg results to be good. Hope you can get through the day ok while you wait.

So the laughter thing was a scientific study. They had a "clown" in the clinic and half the women were with the clown after transfer and half not. The half with, had more pregnancies!!! I've never seen a funny clown personally but presumably this one made them all laugh!! How random though and I'm not sure how I'd have felt if I'd been asked to take part in that study!!

@Janefx40 I have nieces and nephews on my husband’s side but this is my first niece/nephew on my side and I can’t lie it feels more exciting 🙈🙈
That clown experiment is so interesting! Must be to do with oxytocin being released or endorphins or something from laughter?? Definitely an odd question to ask women at such an emotive time too! ‘Do you mind being entertained by a clown?’

I posted that too soon. Nurse rang with my results. So on thurs my level was 18 and today it was 42. She said they want me to have more bloods done Saturday and if the levels next Saturday have done what they would expect then they will say it’s a new viable pregnancy and will book in a scan. So will just keep hoping and praying 🙏 that this one is going to stick and be healthy and develop normally.🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Makingnumber2 eeek that's doubled over 48h which is I believe exactly what it's supposed to be doing? Good good luck it but it sounds positive ❤️

@bitheby sorry to hear about ypur follicle count... I'm pretty sure a lot of women go ahead with ivf with such low results but I understand the risk here with spending so much money just to be disappointed. Any chance you could go through nhs? I know that that means additional waiting time, though...

Thank you for all the support today ladies and for the words of wisdom @Janefx40! I had to have my embryo transfer under sedation because of my vaginismus (I was proud of myself for going through all the intravaginal scans but the transfer itself requires speculum which is a bit much for me and the doctor wanted me relaxed - well it doesn't get any more relaxed than passed out 😂) but it all went to plan and I currently have a little embryo (apparently very good quality, too!) slowly nesting inside me. Now the nerve-wracking waiting game begins to see if it sticks... 10 days until the pregnancy test. Feeling hopeful but pragmatic for now 🤞🏼

@primrosechill woo hoo! Congratulations. Some women call that Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise of PUPO. So exciting.

@Makingnumber2 so this is tentatively good. At least we now know this is a new pregnancy. Let's just hope those numbers keep doubling nicely. We have everything crossed for you.

@bitheby I'm sorry we posted at the same time so I didn't see what you had written. I'm so sorry about your news. I think you need to take time to digest it and then see what you want to do. This journey has so many ups and downs and I think you have to let things settle sometimes before you can decide what to do.

@bitheby I'm 44 and doing IVF if that helps - I'm another person a bit older going through it anyway. I think it's fine to be absorbed in what's going on for you at times. We all have been. This doesn't have to mean the end but as I said, personally I need to let the dust settle when I get big news before making decisions xxx

So pleased it all went well @primrosechill 🎉 Come on little bean! I really hope the next 10 days go swiftly for you and are as anxiety/ worry free as possible. Lots of relaxation/meditation , visualisation and yoga might help- if you’re into those things. PUPO is a exciting status to have!

I’m so sorry to hear your bad news @bitheby- I can imagine it has knocked you for 6 a bit after all your other results had come back so well. Going private is a lot of money and you’ll need to take some time to digest all the info and options. I really hope you get a BFP this cycle to save you having to make any decisions around ivf. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@bitheby Good to hear from you, been thinking of you. I’m ever so sorry about the news. Like the other ladies said, you have some thinking time as you’ve SI this month. The option is there for you to try if you decide to, but hopefully it won’t be needed after your SI 🤞🏻💚

@MrsKin90 I’m really good thank you 🥰 I’m cd20. We had sex tue night, SI wed night, Thur a.m and a bonus SI last night so let’s see. Had a counselling session first time face to face in over a year, then I’d booked a rooftop restaurant for a meal and I had a couple of lovely mocktails. Was beautiful out in the sun around people, no cooking and no dirty dishes! So just a really enjoyable day ☺️
How are you? Things sound good and it’s great the ball is rolling on appointments for you both....whatever choices you’ll have, you will get through this together. I hope you’ll have a nice weekend of just switching off, doing what you want when you want, and just looking after yourself 💚💖

@primrosechill how absolutely wonderful the you currently have an embryo in you 🥰 You’ve been absolutely amazing, glad you had a little snooze as they did it! That’s really just so amazing. Morning ladies x

Well either I'm getting implantation spotting or the same thing which happened last month is happening this month.

Took an IC this morning and swear I could see a shadow. Last night I thought I noticed something when I wiped ( I'm so sorry for the tmi) and this morning it's def light brown when wiping.

I'm cd23 today so if it's AF then my cycle has def changed by about 3/4 days.

I don't see how it's possible that I ovulated late as I definitely got ovulation pain in which case I'm 13dpo today. If I've ovulated a day or so later then I'm possibly 11/12 dpo but again can't see how that has happened due to the ovulation pain 🤷‍♀️

Will just need to wait and see what happens !!

I got a blank circle today on my digital CB OPKs which means annoyingly my cycle hasn't clicked back to normal after IVF. I have short cycles so I would normally get an oestrogen surge flashing smiley face would be on CD9 or 10 and then a solid smiley on CD11 or 12.

I was really hoping to go back to normal straight away because I had a straight BFN but it's a bit of a unknown because across my 3 previous treatment cycles (2 fresh and 1 frozen) I have always been pregnant one way or another but it's taken me 50-60 days to have a period.

Just hoping this is a short delay and not another long wait 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@Carol1980 I really hope this is the start of something good for you and not a repeat of last month. I have read that ovulation pain can happen before, during or after ovulation so it's not always a sign that it happened that day. Tentatively excited for you that you have seen a line. If that was implantation spotting then you wouldn't expect a strong line yet? Have everything 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I had a dream about hedgehogs last night which made me laugh out loud in my sleep which startled the cat, who then woke me up. This was about 4 am. But in my strange half asleep state, i had weird sensations in my uterus. Now I wonder if that was all part of the dream and fanciful. But it was nice to at least imagine it was implantation.

Well it's def AF as it's now dark red. Not full flow yet but 🤷‍♀️ nowt I can do about it.
Weirdly I feel ok at the moment, I think all the positive vibes that I'm getting from this group is keeping me positive despite the sorrow about another month of not getting pregnant x

@Janefx40 thank you for your kind words, I've felt a bit crappy today, more so because I developed a headache 🙄 but feeling much better now x

For the most part I keep having to remind myself that I'm so lucky that I have my daughter x despite the fact that I still want another, if it never happens for us, she is already our world and I honestly realise just how lucky we are to have her ❤️

I know what you mean. I constantly feel lucky to have our perfect girl. I do want another baby and I want her to have a sibling. You're still allowed to want a baby. But ultimately we are so lucky with what we already have.

Sorry to hear AF arrived @Carol1980. I'm glad you're feeling ok about it at the moment- hope you can take things a bit easy the next few days.
I feel the same as you- so lucky and grateful for the healthy child I already have. But like Jane says- it's still ok for us to want another one.

Cycle 2 of syringe method isn't going according to plan. Had a negative OPK yesterday and then a positive one this morning. It's earlier than expected so caught me off guard. Currently lying with my legs in the air but I think I may already be too late as my left ovary has been killing me since this morning so I may have already ovulated.

@inkworks273 the egg can life up to 12 hours and it only takes soerm about 30 mins to get to an egg so don't worry x

Honestly feeling ok right now.
I'm more concearnd that my cycle had changed so dramatically ! 23 days this month, but no major cramping and got sore sides of boobs about 2/3 days ago.
Might be the new vitamins I'm taking might be my age, might be anything to be honest !
Just waiting to see if my cycle length is the same and also see if my flow is heavier due to the progestin Cream.
Hubby has been fan as usual and we're already rating to go on the next cycle x
If anything with my short luteal phase at least I'll be in my fertile window soon and back on the 2 weeks wait 🤣🤣
