1 DPO tomorrow! Any buddies?

Hey all! Today is ovulation day, the 2WW is about to begin. Anyone else on the same cycle? Let's agonise over possible symptoms together!

I'm 6dpo today .... bloated and some cm but not sure that's any different than usual. Not sure if we would get symptoms this early anyway? X

@Sparklestars86 they say that you only really start getting symptoms after implantation, which at the earliest is 5DPO. However, I have been scouring the internet and there are loads and loads of women who say they started getting symptoms at around 2DPO and went on to get BFPs. I'm a firm believer then everyone is different, and I put a lot of weight on people's own experiences compared to what textbooks say! But who knows? It's normal to symptom spot and attribute it to of Pg, which is exactly what I am doing now 😂

@Sparklestars86 I wish I could remember how I felt first time round (8 years ago now😱). Kicking myself for not keeping a symptom diary. Like @HopingForBabyM2021 said, I think realistically the symptoms wouldn't start until after implantation.

8dpo today, boobs feel a bit tender but that's all I'm noticing and could just be leading up to af (due next Saturday). Planning to test on Thursday, if I don't cave and do so before then! Wishing everyone luck :)

Thank you both. So I'll try and ignore my vivid imagination for next few days; start paying attention thereafter- but not read too much into it until 10dpo. (That's my theory anyway- I'm not sure I even believe myself as I type it! I can't believe how quickly I've turned from not even feeling ready for a baby to obsessing about it over a matter of weeks. It's like a switch just flipped!) Xx

Don't think symptoms kick in till after implantation. I'm trying to be good a not test till I'm late. After a mc and Cp I'm a bit anxious.

I need an intervention. TTC is all I can think about. Already checking maternity services at hospitals near me 😭 someone please stop me. Is this normal or am I just OTT crazy about all of this?

@HopingForBabyM2021 you are not being crazy... I have done the exact same thing re the maternity hospitals/ birthing centres! 😂 Trying to make my mind up about travelling distances for a better rated hospital and then remember London traffic. These are obviously all things I should only be stressing about when I know I will be having a baby!! today I completely distracted myself by giving myself loads of things to do including sorting out the spare room (with the vision of it being a lovely nursery), went for a run, cooked a 3 course meal and listened to a a whole e-book 😂 it really helped!!!

Or should have said you are maybe being crazy but it's not just you! 😂

I've taken a Pg test everyday since sex 🙈 ...talk about crazy 😅 (negative, obvs)

I know what you mean. Last month I had the same kind of breast pain so thinking hopeful and slightly worried thoughts. I usually get a bit of breast tenderness a few days before af but last month it started at 7dpo and was different than the usual (much more tender and on days 10 and 11 felt really sore, full and tingly which never happens before af!).

My first month ttc was all I could think about too, last month was a bit better and I've felt much calmer this month 👍

@hullabaloo19 I am exactly the same! I feel a bit more calm now. I think I've accepted that it might take a bit longer than expected so just to roll with it and do everything you can for a bfp!

I have absolutely no idea what you do once you do get a bfp. Do you just call the doctors? Then what happens?

I've sat here reading these messages and they have all made me smile...

I already have children and we sit there and analysis the tests together lol its like a ritual..
Im 4 dpo today and strangely calm this month...Not sure why
Im not really sure when im due on either which is a bit worrying...my period was late last night after coming off the coil and ovulation was later last month so im unsure..

I also started off as that person who says they're going to be calm and then before you know it, you've gone crazy googling everything! It does make me feel better than we all seem to be the same though.

@BrodieKD due to my extensive maternity services trawl today I can answer this question 😂 you can self refer to a maternity unit using a form on the website when you find out you're pregnant. Alternatively you can go through your gp.

Ladies, honestly, thank you all for making me feel less crazy. I appreciate every single one of you. My husband is super laid back and sweet and is all 'lets enjoy this time, it's so special, we'll know when we know'. And I'm all 'I NEED TO KNOW RIGHT NOW!'

That should of said my period was late last month

Definitely reassuring to know we're all as crazy as each other- and therefore not crazy at all! I'm doing a great swan impression with my husband so far- keep reiterating we need to not get our hopes up and stay relaxed etc. But under the surface my Google search history tells a whole other story xx

My other half is so calm, actually starting to resent that as I climb the walls he is able to just relax and chill out xx
