Bing Bing the BFP bus is back!

Last bus we got some great results and now it’s a REAL Easter 🐣hunt so let’s make like 🐰s and jump on the 🍆

Oh but we’ve packed up the 🥪🌭🌮Cos we can do that soon! A picnic, and in our sandwiches we’ve got some weird things...little 🍆conchions, pickles, crisps, KETCHUP?? Say what?? Whatever you want in your bread bring it to the bus!

March and April we’ve got a lot of exciting times ahead with people going for Clomid & IVF as well as a lot of straight up sex for the “normal” TTC gang so let’s get shagging & FIND THOSE 🐣🌈.

Hop on the bus, give us your best embarrassing story and grab a ticket, we are TTC in very weird ways and usually talking about most other things 🍞🥨🥞🍔

And we are still helping each other get fitter, more positive through sharing small changes we are making in our lives and trying to inspire & support each other with these too...as well as of course being there for each other during the sad times.

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

@DJmum83 pm please

Justanothercyster · 02/04/2021 20:32

@DJmum83 bless you. I feel you on the drinking side of things. My mums drinking slowly started creeping up when I was about 15 onwards and she's now a full on alcoholic, it's a real struggle. Perhaps raise it with dh again when he's a bit calmer and just be honest about your concerns. It's hard for people to accept sometimes and alcohol is the hardest because it's a "social" thing a lot of the time x

paintfairy · 02/04/2021 20:38

@2020mission @DKDK123 I've got mid - dark brown hair so you can definitely see them! And now they are coming through at the front. 😫 I did do it purple last but it was before Christmas and so it's overdue. Looked awful.
I did get it done at the salon before lockdown 1 and had been doing so for a few years. She puts 2 colours in and so it blends things better. But going every 10 weeks or so does get expensive and time consuming.
I've used box dyes on and off since forever though. Mum used to do it for me. 🤣 I don't do the vaseline thing. But when I've finished putting it on, I wet some tissue and wipe around my hairline/ears etc and get off any stray dye. And shout DH to check where I can't see. As for washing off- we've got a separate shower and I just rinse the sides down after I've done. It doesn't stain anywhere if it's wet and not left long. So it won't stain the shower as long as you make sure you've got it all off after. Garnier Nutrisse was tonight's but I've used various makes. Just buy whatever colour I like the look of. I've used to loreal ones and the purple one was schwarzkopf. I don't recommend that though as it never stops coming out. But any normal colour should be fine. I always use an old towel on my hair that first time too, just in case there is any staining! I have an old dressing gown that i wear to actually do it.
@DJmum83 at least it wasn't day. But if it's often then no that's not ideal at all. And can easily get out of control.

Vil10 · 02/04/2021 21:17

Hey ladies! Sorry I've been quiet, had a bad day with af today, quite heavy as usually at the beginning and had back ache and pains, but I still soldiered on and touched up the paint work on the fences from when we did them last March, got some new garden lights ordered, cleaned the conservatory, then we went a dropped OH's godchildren's Easter eggs off! It's been a lovely day here, think it's the same tomorrow and Sunday too!! Sorry to hear so many of us are feeling so down, it's completely understandable under the current circumstance but the end is near, we've got this shit💪🏽❤️

Katao · 02/04/2021 21:40

Hi all. Haven't had a chance to read it but I'm just going to leave a link to this thread here for anyone who is interested 😘

paintfairy · 02/04/2021 22:34

@Katao I'm now stressing I've not been tested for thrombophilia. 🤣 I do think it's odd they don't test for more than they do though?

DJmum83 · 02/04/2021 23:02

@Franklydear how do you Pm? Can you do it on the app? X

Sausage1990 · 02/04/2021 23:07

Hi girls sorry I’ve been MIA this week. I’ve been making a cake for my work colleagues retirement lunch yesterday and doing it on top of full-time work & 1st trimester exhaustion, well its just wiped me out.

Sorry to all of those who've had BFNs & for whom af has arrived - It really is shit! 👎🏻 I'm so sorry to see so many of you struggling with this ttc journey and feeling very flat. I know I'm late catching up and missed the chat at the time but I'm sending you all so much love to you wonderful group of girls 💕

@2alreadywantanother ohhh I'm keeping my fingers crossed that af has stayed away. How's re you getting on? If af hasn't arrived, when do you think you'll test? Also I second what @hollieL567 said about your would be due date coming up, it's really hard to get your head around that this time isn't what you'd hoped it would be. It's very triggering for sure. Do you have anything planned for the day itself? I've got a days annual leave booked and the day with my 2yr old niece planned because I wanted a day filled with toddler fun to make it a positive day rather than being sad one.

@Ltay2 omg he's bloody gorgeous!!! Glad you're both doing well & glad your stitches are healing nicely. 💙 God those photos make my ovaries ache haha next level broodiness 😊

@justanothercyster reading your comment about having alot to learn about looking after a child... I am with you. Reading all these tips from these amazing mamas and I'm totally clueless haha. Do you learn this stuff in Antenatal classes or a book or something? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

@hollieL567 so so so pleased your 12 week scan went well 💕 what a gorgeous photo of baby 👶🏻

@Franklydear I have so much admiration for how hard you work to give your son the best. It's not an easy road to travel but god you're a strong mama. I'm thrilled DS has his dietitian appointment come through 😊 great news!! And great news on choosing his new school 🙌🏻

@Juno231 great news about your appointment this month 🎉

@larrythelizard Wow that vegan Rhubarb & custard bake looks bloody lush 😍😍😍 might have to put that on the list of things to make one day!

Sooo I think I'm all caught up (16pages worth so it was a fairly mammoth catch up)... Sorry that I missed loads xxx

Sausage1990 · 02/04/2021 23:15

Also... I don't know if you want a little update from me but thought I would anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m now just over 5 weeks so still super early. I don’t really have as many symptoms yet & I’m trying hard not to compare the 2 pregnancies because by this point last time I definitely was feeling sick etc. The fatigue however is next level & I’ve had a horrible ibs flair up. I had a flair up last time too so I think pregnancy hormones and my gut just DO NOT get on. I am SOOO bloated.

My EPU have booked me in for a viability scan on the 13th when I’ll be nearly be 7wks... Which makes it all feel more real. My local EPU have been amazing to be honest and they've also offered to book me a scan in my 9th week too for extra reassurance because that's when baby stopped growing last time.

We're telling our parents & siblings this BH weekend which is a bit scary. I do want them to know but I also really want to keep it a secret. To be honest, making the appointment and planning to tell our families has set my anxiety off a bit which I didn't expect...
Telling people means it's real and I think it's almost like speaking it into existence and that also brings alive your fears an anxieties. Which feels alot... But I'm sure (hoping) I'll feel better once the news is out there 🤞🏻

Anyway thats all for now 🌈✨💕

Franklydear · 03/04/2021 07:05

Thank you @Sausage1990, means a lot to me

blackcurrantqueen · 03/04/2021 08:13

Morning all!!

We had rubbish weather yesterday, we had friends over for a bbq and it was freezing 😂

@Vil10 that sounds like a very efficient day!! What colours your fence? We painted ours grey but we really need new ones!

@paintfairy hey. I'm so sorry I can't remember what you have / haven't had done but part of my recurrent miscarriage bloods tested for haematology conditions that might cause sticky blood!

@Sausage1990 sorry you're feeling rough, my IBS is the same - hideous in the first bit of pregnancy but by the end with DD I was mega constipated !

Franklydear · 03/04/2021 08:14

Today is autism awareness day, many would prefer to call it appreciation day, please don't support autism speaks or any organisation with a blue puzzle piece logo, they're only there to cash in sympathy for autistic but do nothing for them and even do damage, find an autistic adult in Facebook and show them your support instead 💖

Minster2012 · 03/04/2021 08:19

Morning ladies!

Positive day here too! No fence painting though but we did Easter egg hunting with xander's cousins yesterday which was lovely after a bbq for MIL's birthday so the kids loved it 🙌🏻🥰

Happy autism awareness /appreciation day all 😘sending hugs to you all
Hopefully you've got something nice today

@Sausage1990 sorry you are feeling rough but hope telling your family goes well 🌈

@Franklydear I'll try work out how to pm.
Happy Autism appreciation day.
I second what a fantastic wee mummy you are, I love your fighting spirit.
My daughter has ADHD and dyslexia. I have to admit I'm a quiet person and you have made me stand up more and say no I'm not happy with this. The school she is in are useless leave her in wet clothes all day. She has bladder problems. You have made me realise I don't need to accept this. So thank you. I appreciate you, keep doing what you do for your wee boy. That wee boy has the best mummy, and when he is older he will always know who to come to when he needs help xxx

Franklydear · 03/04/2021 08:38

@DJmum83 I sent you a pm, it's in
My Mumsnett or find me in Instagram if you prefer, rainbow gloves on my picture
I am really glad that I inspired you to advocate more, I found my inspiration in an autistic adult that came for an assembly in school, we all have our hold on a minute moment, leaving her in wet clothes is horrific!

DJmum83 · 03/04/2021 08:49

@Franklydear they are such a bad school. I have 2 friends 1 their child has missing chromosomes and the other their child has extra chromosome and we are going to get the school sorted out. We are getting together to see what we can do.
I took pictures in last week of my wee ones bottom when she came home after not being changed it was red raw and full of spots. I asked them how would you like it. She was changed 3 times after that and it better continue. Xx

paintfairy · 03/04/2021 09:48

@DJmum83 omg, that's shocking!
@blackcurrantqueen just day 2, 21, general bloods, and a virus one (think that was hep and hiv). Maybe they only do it if you have a miscarriage? I've never got that far. Never got a line!

Vil10 · 03/04/2021 10:41

@blackcurrantqueen I think that's going to be us tomorrow! Going to my mums for a bbq and I feel like it'll be a cold one😂 we painted our fences black and the concrete in between white, next door did theirs the same and loved it and our furniture is black too! I'll add a pic! Yeah we need 2 new ones but I just keep painting them in hope they'll last bad weather again😂 (ignore the dog cage in the pic, they wanted to be outside with us but I didn't want them running around near wet paint) 😂

@Minster2012 sounds like you had a lovely day!!

Happy autism awareness/appreciation day❤️

@Vil10 that looks amazing!!

We must do some house stuff today too

And jump on DH, once he's feeling less hung over, I've GOT A STATIC SMILE I hope he gets the drink horn.

First time ever OMG I'm ludicrously excited 🤣😂🙌🏻nothing will happen obviously but OMG

Can't check it on an IC as my body playing silly buggers but I'll take it

🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

bez91 · 03/04/2021 12:19

@Vil10 looks great! We did something similar in grey last year, probably needs doing again as it's weathered a bit green again 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yessssss @Minster2012 🥳 🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆 happy static day! Come on little egg 🥚 AF finished here but DH has got man flu 😫

Katao · 03/04/2021 12:54

@paintfairy there's always something else to worry about! The overwhelming answer on that thread was relax 🙄

@Minster2012 omg!!! 🥳🥳🥳 get in it girl! 🍆🍆🍆

Bfn on a cheapy this morning. No idea what dpo I am but getting towards the average cycle lenght cd so af can't be too far off

paintfairy · 03/04/2021 13:03

@Katao yeah relax. It'll all be fine. 🤣
I agree worrying can't help, but it's not like there's an off button? Difficult one!

Minster2012 · 03/04/2021 13:15

And we are back to the whole "we should just relax and we'll get pregnant" obviously @paintfairy @Katao

Damn it @bez91 these men are useless when we need them 🤣😂

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 03/04/2021 13:15

Sorry on the bfn @Katao 😔😩

OP posts:
Katao · 03/04/2021 13:38

Obviously right!
@Minster2012 thanks. Wasn't too hopeful anyway as there was a lot of abstinence around tests so hadn't much of a shot at it this month 🤷‍♀️
