@Misty84 I hadn’t considered the whole social media pressure but it can be an added pressure for teenagers who are not well grounded and surrounded by immense love and constant guidance. I loved teenage years purely for the self discovery part and day dreaming, all the literature I read and all the music I threw myself into. But I never liked the peer pressure part. I agree, it was awful and that’s pre-social media days.

@Marvellouslymadmum a few days I got a sharp pain in my lower back that lasted a good 5 minutes and I started putting this together with other symptoms I’ve been spotting 😅😂 everything month I’ve symptom spotted I was wrong so from here on out I’m just gonna try and keep my mind busy and test after a missed AF by several days!

@DNpink82 welcome! Don’t give up. Now that you’re starting tests and further investigations, things will fall into place hopefully. As for holidays, maybe a smaller holiday in a destination other than the Caribbean that you might enjoy? If only for a change of scenery and refreshment!

Twelvestars · 04/04/2021 11:44

Again sorry for the few typos, but I am hoping you’ll get what I was saying 🤣🤞🏻

Marvellouslymadmum · 04/04/2021 11:59

@Twelvestars that's exactly what I'm Usually like and never rest unless I'm late I just don't know what's got into me this month - someone needs to talk me down 😂

Misty84 · 04/04/2021 12:03

@Twelvestars Ahhh yes I did love getting into music and being so passionate about it! 😂

@DNpink82 and I were on another TTC group together but it’s full of women born in the 90s so I thought she’d like it better here, as I do!! Welcome my dear 🙂

DNpink82 · 04/04/2021 12:07

@Misty84 hahaha they make me feel so old 🤣🤣

@Twelvestars I've not given up as such but definitely having a break from all the testing this month, plus if we got pregnant this month it would be due 23rd Dec and don't fancy a Xmas/New Years baby lol 😂

Twelvestars · 04/04/2021 12:48

@Misty84 ah so if I got this right, you invited @DNpink82 here? Good job hahaha I cannot begin to explain how ancient I feel when I check out some of their threads 😂

DNpink82 · 04/04/2021 13:11

@Twelvestars yes she did, I find myself thinking they're kids and not ready to be parents but then I have to remind myself I don't know them 🙈 it's took me to nearly 40 to even feel ready to have a baby, now we have a house, married and good paying jobs. My niece is due tomorrow and I can't help but feel so jealous of her, thank god for covid I've not been able to see her much 😞

Noodella18 · 04/04/2021 13:15

@Twelvestars I don't think it can be implantation cause I had a bfn on a cheapy yesterday which was 2 days after I started bleeding so hcg would have shown up by then surely. I do feel so sick though, it's weird, and the bleeding stopped after 2 days and I have been having weird clumpy discharge. If I still feel sick tomorrow I might try another test.

bass123 · 04/04/2021 14:00

Hello. Glad i found this thread. I am 3 days late for my af but al im getting is a bfn. Has this happened to anyone?

selina37 · 04/04/2021 21:30

Hello @bass123 Welcome to the thread! 🤗 it's not happened to me at all, I'm afraid so I can't comment. Are you testing first thing in the morning? Xx

thislittlebird · 04/04/2021 23:15

It has happened to me @bass123, in December my period was 5 or 6 days late. It’s quite common for periods to be late when ttc from what I’ve read (probably the stress), ovulation can be delayed so if you’re still getting bfns in a few days you can trust them most likely.

thislittlebird · 04/04/2021 23:15

Welcome to the thread! @DNpink82

bass123 · 04/04/2021 23:52

@thislittlebird AF just visited sadly. Can't do much but try again

Bombshell85 · 05/04/2021 03:46

Hi everyone, im so happy to find people on the same journey, i have no-one i can talk to about ttc. I'll be 36 next month and morbidly obese on top of that so my chances are slim to none. I really want to give my new husband a child of his own. I hope this post finds you all well xx

Bombshell85 · 05/04/2021 03:55

Ive have bfn to after being 10 days late! Its happened twice that my period was 2 weeks late :( life can be cruel sometimes. I do remember with my 1st tho i had a bfn 1 day then a bfp the next! Ive always struggled to conceive, but good luck! Rooting for you! X

climbershell · 05/04/2021 08:35

I'm now 11dpo and tho not symptoms spotting, I keep looking at my aps and calendar, time is going slow! Late ovulation so will be long cycle, AF should probs be here by Thurs which is 14dpo & would mean a 33 day cycle (longest last yr was 30). Prob wait to test til Thurs/Fri. Tho now I'm also like, well my FRER should pick up if only 4 days before missed period, but at only 10dpo realistically too early! Least I'll be crazy just at work tomorrow so no wandering thoughts!

Misty84 · 05/04/2021 09:14

@climbershell I always find the 2ww drags so much!!

Welcome @Bombshell85, out of interest were you overweight when you conceived your first child? You are only 36 so age shouldn’t stop you becoming pregnant again if you’re able to make some lifestyle changes (I absolutely know it’s far easier said than done though!!) xx

Lalala1985 · 05/04/2021 09:41

@Bombshell85 I'm also 35 and quite overweight (BMI is 37) I'm cautiously losing weight while trying to conceive as I want to reduce the risk to my potential baby as much as possible. It's only like half a pound a week as when I've lost weight in the past it's given me hormonal problems to the point where I stopped having periods (and ovulating) and that was losing the recommended amount of 1-2lbs a week, so I'm going very slow with it and concentrating on eating healthy and not overexcercising.
I've known plenty of women much bigger and unhealthier than me get pregnant, in some cases immediately, so I think as long as your hormones are all fine then it's certainly possible.

Lalala1985 · 05/04/2021 10:54

5DPO today... it's getting to the time where if we were successful, it would start implanting around soon. Trying not to get hopeful, I was symptom spotting last month and got a BFN, though it was more the symptoms finding me than me spotting them, I think I was just having an abnormal luteal phase with dizziness, nausea, cramping and spotting which started at 3 DPO and lasted until AF. This month I've had none of it so far which I'm hoping might be a good sign.

I'll probably start POAS soon, I know it's not recommended but I find I can get on with my day if I do, knowing it's negative instead of sitting there thinking 'was that a twinge?'.

Bombshell85 · 05/04/2021 11:25

I know what you mean @Lalala1985 i find it easier to get that bit out of the way! Thank you @misty84 for the welcome:). Im much heavier my bmi is probably around 50! I was overweight a size 16 when i fell pregnant with my previous children. My youngest is 9yo so big age gaps! Im not sure if im mad signing myself up to nosleep, potty training and school runs again 🤔

Lalala1985 · 05/04/2021 11:48

@Bombshell85 but the age gap means you'll have a good babysitter in a few years Grin

Marvellouslymadmum · 05/04/2021 12:03

Morning all!

Welcome @bass123 sorry af showed for you I get this quite alot as my cycles and Lp are odd have even had a couple of 55/60 day cycles thrown in just to play with my head!

@Bombshell85 welcome, I'm 42 and overweight so you've got time on your side, I also have two teenagers and two step teenagers the youngest being 13.5 so age gaps will be huge but there are big age gaps with me and some of my siblings and it was never an issue, definitely great for babysitters!

Bombshell85 · 05/04/2021 12:03

Ahaha i hope so!

Bombshell85 · 05/04/2021 13:26

Day 3 after af just the waiting for fertile window is annoying!!!

CurlyNo2 · 05/04/2021 16:30

Wow, so much has happened since i was last here in Nov/Dec. Hope everyone is well.

So, I feel like I'm in no-mans land at the minute. Period is 2 days late, I'. Always like clock work. Have been spotting on CD25 for 3 days and then nothing. Took a cheapy pregnancy test and it was negative. Think I need to buy a first response one.

My brain is so confused. We have been trying for baby No.2 for 12 months now.
