Wanna reply.to each of you individually! But am exhausted after I finally called my parents and told them about my chemical pregnancy. I had a good cry and felt a lot more relaxed after that.

@Misty84 I take 200mg but based on my internet obgyn certification - some research recommends up to 600mg

Misty84 · 29/03/2021 21:51

@wj82 Thanks for Ubiquinol info.
I called my Dad and finally told him about everything, cried my eyes out, and felt a lot more relaxed afterwards too. Letting it out obviously released a lot of tension for us x

KG1145 · 29/03/2021 21:57

Hey everyone. Hope you're all well. I'm keeping fingers crossed for all of you in the tww! I haven't logged on for a few days and missed loads.

I just read your message @wj82 and wanted to reply. I feel stress was a huge issue for me, I just spiralled and the sadenss around TTC and MC got a bit all consuming. The month I felt worse my cycle went haywire...could be coincidence though! I personally feel like acupuncture helped me loads with stress. Again could be coincidence but I felt I was able to better handle situations. I also found this group a huge huge help. Suddenly I didn't feel alone in my TTC journey.

@wj82 I took coq10 and the naturelo multivitamin. I am also a MTHFR carrier so took an extra 1000 microgram of folic acid. I got the book 'It starts with an egg' and found that good for explaining the vitamin. The ladies on here have a lot of knowledge though too.

@thislittlebird fingers crossed you ovulate soon! I may hae missed you saying but do you feel the new medication is working or is it still to early to tell yet?

@thislittlebird Re the low AMH - I follow someone called hannahpearceacupuncture on instagram. Tommorow she is doing an instalive on AMH and whether it can go up as well as down. She generally posts some quite interesting stuff. Also the 'it starts with an egg' book has a fair amount on AMH if I recall correctly (I can check if you'd like) but there are a lot of positive stories about increasing AMH on the facebook group.

Loving the posititvity and the good news stories. I peed on another CB stick this morning (had held off for a week) and got 3 weeks + which puts me at 5 weeks. I'm 5 weeks 5 days by my calculations so that has reasurred me a lot.

KG1145 · 29/03/2021 22:14

sending love to you both @Misty84 and @wj82 it sounds a very emotional evening. I hope you both feel better after it x

thislittlebird · 29/03/2021 22:33

@Misty84 it’s not one in the supermarket, unfortunately, I had to buy a box of it recently to keep in the cupboard, it’s called Floreat, from a Cornish producer. Someone bought us a bottle when we got married and it was very nice, so I treated us to some and we can take a couple of bottles when we go away for a few days. It’s not the cheapest but if you want to treat yourself to something low alcohol some time it is nice floreatwines.com/

On the ubiquinol front, I was taking 100mg pre break, just because some people report insomnia so it might be useful to start low and see how you get on. But you can definitely take a higher dose.

Glad you got to speak to your dad and parents @wj82 and Misty.

@KG1145 yeah it is helping. I’m much less covered in spots than I was three weeks ago (I’m mostly normal skin now). Not quite there yet, but getting there. My fear is it’ll all come back when I finish the drugs ugh. But for the meantime it’s much better. Stress and worry is definitely a huge factor for me. In my skin, in ttc, I wish I could switch it off.

Was the AMH comment for someone else, KG?

Good news on your 3 weeks + test!

KG1145 · 29/03/2021 22:59

@thislittlebird ah it might have been sorry! I was trying to remember who said what when I was replying 🙈 I don't find the website that easy to use

Glad the meds are working for you 😊

Misty84 · 29/03/2021 23:04

@thislittlebird Ah thanks I will look into it!

@KG1145 the low amh comment was probably for me as I’ve been the one banging on about it!🤪
I’m reading It starts with the egg at the moment :)

wj82 · 29/03/2021 23:12

God! I bought it too after reading about it on this forum !

I bought the wrong type of coq10. Mistake #1.

Marvellouslymadmum · 29/03/2021 23:19

@thislittlebird the opposite- no cm 🤷🏼‍♀️ my body just loves to confuse me! So I'm in the tww now (I assume) but could be anywhere between 1-3dpo

I've been tempted by the low alcohol stuff when I've been to the shops - may have to give it a try when af shows up!

@Misty84 with the ubiquinol I take 2 x 200mg a day and my oh takes 1 x 200mg as it's good for Sperm Heath too

@KG1145 so glad you're doing well, I was thinking about you earlier and wondering how you were getting along!

@wj82 @Misty84 glad you're both feeling better after opening up to someone, I have thought about talking to my mum but can't decide if I want to or not 😂

Marvellouslymadmum · 29/03/2021 23:20

On that front if anyone wants a list of the concoction of stuff I'm taking each month to try and help let me know 😂

Misty84 · 29/03/2021 23:27

@Marvellouslymadmum I’d like to see the list of your concoction of stuff please! 😁

@wj82 the book is fascinating. OH and I replaced all our bpa-ridden plastic kitchen items with non toxic alternatives this eve!

wj82 · 29/03/2021 23:28

@Marvellouslymadmum
It's not easy. I cried silently each time I called them. My mum knew something was wrong despite my best attempts. But I felt a bit better after I told her.

Can someone critique the junks I put in my body?

(1) prenatal vitamin "the ovum" (just switched.. previously on pregnacare)

  • methyfolate 800mg
  • coq10 200mg
  • alpha lipoic acid 600mg
  • some other random stuff

(2) choline 200mg

Daily diet
An egg daily, muesli and Greek yogurt.
Orange, avocado. Probiotic. Couscous. Organic chicke. Fish. Pork.

Drink 1.6l per day. Nuts for snacks.

...and still ttc.

wj82 · 29/03/2021 23:29

...I just ordered a metal kettle...
I think I'm going mad.
How do I replace my plastic acquaintances ...

Marvellouslymadmum · 29/03/2021 23:49

@Misty84 no worries! I take

Pregnacare conception
Vit b complex (high strength)
Vit b6 50mg
Vit c 1000mg
Vit d
Vit e
Magnesium
Maca root 500mg
Ubiquinol 400mg
High dose iron prescribed by the doc due to anaemia

Then I also take high dose evening primrose oil up until ovulation
Drink pomegranate juice
Eat fresh pineapple slice including the core from for days before ov until ov day
Extra protein
Full fat milk
No caffeine
No alcohol (or very rarely)
Extra veggies and extra exercise
Nuts to snack on

I also just started seed cycling!

Most if these suggestions have come from lots of hours spent with dr google and the lovely ladies of Mumsnet!

@wj82 I do hope you feel better now

wj82 · 29/03/2021 23:55

@Marvellouslymadmum
For the first time since my chemical pregnancy, yes..I feel a little bit better. I'm not so tensed and I don't feel as suffocating.

I still weep a little everytime I think of my struggle. But it's like the 100kg load I'm shouldering is now 15 kg lighter. Not a lot but enough to let me breathe a little more.

Marvellouslymadmum · 30/03/2021 00:04

@wj82 I'm really glad to hear it! My oh is really good at talking me down when I get into a bit of a panic or start to spiral, which I love but sometimes I have felt like I need another woman to chat to. That's when I came on here and found these lovely ladies and I feel so much better for it!

Twelvestars · 30/03/2021 00:04

@Marvellouslymadmum go for it! I wanna compare it with my concoction 😂

@KG1145 fingers crossed for the great news 🤞🏻

Farfaraway1 · 30/03/2021 03:32

Hi ladies, just checking in after the weekend. I’m 3 dpo and feeling pretty low and crap. A friend told me her SIL is pregnant today. They haven’t been trying for as long as us so that made me feel crap. I know you can’t compare. I really feel more and more like I just need to move on with my life. It’s exhausting being in the limbo isn’t it.. I’ve decided I’m going to test next Tuesday when I should be 10dpo. I know that’s still early but at least will help prepare me for what I’m sure will be another BFN! Sorry, don’t mean to sound defeatist - just a bit fed up with it all today xx

Misty84 · 30/03/2021 07:57

@Marvellouslymadmum Thanks for your list. I take Pregnacare conception, Ubiquinol and B complex. Have often wondered if I should take more but I get a bit overwhelmed by it all and what to prioritise.
Second half of your list I do most of! (Whole milk, nuts, pineapple core, pomegranate juice etc!)

@Farfaraway1 Sorry you are feeling so low. I think we can all relate to your feelings about others getting pregnant. I still haven’t been to see the babies of the friends who started trying at the same time or way after me..I just don’t want to put myself in a situation that will make me feel like crap, with a fake smile on my face...lockdown has been the perfect excuse until this point.

Twelvestars · 30/03/2021 09:35

@Marvellouslymadmum that’s quite a lot but I’m sure it all helps. I take the supplements you listed in the first paragraph but also I take low dose zinc and selenium. I don’t take maca root.

The second part yes I exercise (resumed 2 days ago after a month pause) and I pretty much don’t drink alcohol except for rare occasions (last time was New Year’s Eve) but honestly I haven’t been able to stop caffeine and a few cigs. I know very bad!

Btw I’ve come across seed cycling on Google. But I haven’t wrapped my head around it yet. Can you share more about it and how it’s done and why it might be beneficial?

Loladoodle · 30/03/2021 09:39

@KG1145 so pleased to hear you are doing well and pregnancy is progressing ❤️

@Geriatric1234 👏 love your attitude to all of this- I feel the same for the most part. Still get disappointment when the witch 🧙‍♀️ shows up but I am not all consumed and bogged down by it as I have been in the past when ttc previously. I feel life is too short to be put on hold for too long- end of this year is when we will stop ttc if no success and will just live our lives with plan B - new house, dogs, holidays and adventures! (Plan A would be preferable but it’s down to fate now)

Marvellouslymadmum · 30/03/2021 10:34

@Twelvestars I have zinc and selenium in the pregnacare but not taking any extra as I was told you don't want to overdose on zinc or it can have a bad effect. For the seed cycling, it was a lady on mn who told me about it and from my research it's 1tbsp pumpkin seeds and 1tbsp linseed (flax seeds) a day up until ovulation then 1tbsp sesame seeds and 1tbsp sunflower seeds a day from ovulation, and it's good for balancing hormones and getting everything to where it should be which is a very big bonus with ttc!

@Farfaraway1 sorry you're fed up, I know the feeling! I'm somewhere between 1-4dpo as my apps can't decide when I ovulated but I believe I'm 4dpo do right beside you in the tww

@Misty84 I know it's probably overkill but at this stage I'm just adding what I can each month as I'll try anything! My oh is on a similar list of substances too 😂 oh I forgot nuts and goji berries too!

wj82 · 30/03/2021 11:00

I know I'm worrying too much. Like I read up a lot about autism. I know if my kid is autistic I'd blame myself for the rest of my life. Like...is it better not to have a kid at my age so that the child may not have to deal with such challenges in life ?

How do you overcome thoughts like that ?

Twelvestars · 30/03/2021 14:20

@wj82 to be honest with you, I’m not too worried about that although it is a concern. But autism, if not genetic, can happen sporadically and not exclusive to children of more mature parents. Healthy parents will most probably conceive a healthy baby. For me right now the main focus is achieving a pregnancy and once that’s been confirmed, there are a multitude of (invasive, mildly invasive and non-invasive) tests that can confirm upto a very high percentage the health of the baby. And I will utilize and pay for each and every test that could possibly be done. That’s when tough decisions will be made. But for now I want to get pregnant 🤞🏻

thislittlebird · 30/03/2021 15:22

Yeah, same tbh. I can’t think that far ahead. It may never happen. When I eventually achieve a BFP it will be an achievement either way after never having had one.
