@angc30 fingers crossed for us both! I'm hoping the whole "more fertile after mc" is true 😩🤞🏻✨

Blondiebrownie6 · 18/04/2021 11:17

Hello ladies , I’ve been quietly watching you all in the background and have found it useless to see people journeys! Congrats to those positives and good luck to those in TWW!

I finally got a pretty much negative first response test the other day 6.5 weeks after medical management and today AF has started. I’m So happy that chapter is over and now onto the next phase of TTC! I was starting to lose my mind over not knowing what was going on but I had funny feeling this morning and some twinges that made me think could this be it and there she is Grin I’ve never been so frickin happy over a period! Sorry I just had to share my excitement with someone as OH doesn’t get it lol. I know the stress and worry will be with me shortly but for today I’m going to enjoy this milestone and embrace my body doing it’s thing xx

CocoLoco88 · 18/04/2021 12:18

Thanks for the kind words of support @Madeoftea and @angc30 - worked out part of the reason why I have been feeling so low the last couple of days, which is that I was due on!!

After 92 long days since the MC, AF arrived this morning and I literally did a little dance 🎉🎉🎉 @Blondiebrownie6 I can totally relate. I was SO delighted, never been happier to have that dragging stomach ache and to be hunting round for a tampon 😂

Love your attitude of just embracing our bodies doing their thing, I will be trying to hold onto that for as long as poss. I literally thanked my womb for cracking on this morning 😂 YOU GOT THIS, OVARIES 👍

Blondiebrownie6 · 18/04/2021 12:57

Oh wow 92 days @CocoLoco88! You must be absolutely over the moon lol! Haha thank the womb , it deserves it! I honestly feel like a weight has lifted and it’s the first time I’ve felt pleased with my body for a while so I’m thanking it :) I’ll try to keep that positive head for a while , but I’m sure worry, anxiety and overall doom will take over soon lol. I’m the same re mood, I literally walked into the hairdressers this morning and burst into tears .... then went to the toilet about an hour later to see that so think that may be why. Here’s to getting our bodies back and cracking on with our journeys Flowers

Also ladies my last post was meant to say ‘useful’ and not useless!!! Sorry! Xxx

Elsie2021 · 18/04/2021 13:03

Thank you everyone for your welcomes 🙂

I’m feeling a bit sad today. Like everyone around me is expecting me to be okay now and I’m really not. It’s so true that nobody really understands what this is like unless you’ve been through it. I have a friend with a baby and she keeps complaining about him growing up. I find it so insensitive because all I want is a healthy child and I’d give anything to see them grow.

I’m 3 weeks post MC tomorrow and still getting very strong positives so will be ringing the hospital tomorrow to see what they say.

I’m also a bit concerned I’ve got an infection because I’m still bleeding and having tummy cramps. I don’t have a temperature or any discharge though so perhaps that’s just normal. But the cramps had gone and they’ve come back. So I’ll see what they say about that too.

Congratulations to those that got AF today. CD1 for you and a fresh new cycle, let’s hope it’s a lucky one!

And good luck to all those in the 2WW.

Love and hugs to everyone.

Blondiebrownie6 · 18/04/2021 13:30

I totally understand your feelings @Elsie2021, it’s so very hard seeing those around you either pregnant or with babies. I still have difficult days but it has got easier.
Although I don’t think those feels will ever leave until I have a baby in my arms! I’m exactly 7 weeks post medical management tomorrow and as each day moves forward you do feel yourself healing and learning to handle your emotions but it’s not easy. Do take care of yourself as it’s still early days

gizmo167 · 18/04/2021 20:16

Hello all, been a while since I posted, needed some time away after the mc in Feb x

@pettylamby & @glowingtwig thinking of you both

Congrats on the bfps!

Cd28 today, my first af after last mc was 36 days & a real heavy one! I had a slight bleed, light, just once on cd26 & as I had this on my last bfp cycle I thought what the hell & tested this eve, what do you think?

Just checking in and saying hello lovely ladies

@gizmo167 that looks super positive!! Congratulations 🥳 xxx

@Badlydrawngirly how was your acupuncture? 😘

@AlbiMix haha yes men are from mars!! How are you feeling?

I’m hanging out in the ttw, trying not to think about it, and focusing on work lately. Hope you all have a great start to a new week ❤️

AlbiMix · 19/04/2021 10:31

@JenTTC sorry I didn't respond, have been offline the last few days. I can sort of see something suuuper faint but I'm not certain if that's positive. Can you do another test? Have you tested again? Maybe give a couple of days?

@Badlydrawngirly so pleased he's excited, at least you can try to have some fun in the process 😉

@Jujujuberry @Badlydrawngirly thanks for checking in, I'm 5+2 now but I've been feeling unwell over the weekend and worrying it's because of a flare-up of my autoimmune disease...so tbh this is only making me feel less hopeful and more certain I'll MC again. I was told by the GP to self-refer to antenatal so I'm going to do that today and hope they get in touch soon. Just like the last pregnancy I have no symptoms except being more hungry, and after last time it just doesn't bode well. It's rough going 😭

@Jujuberry good luck in your TWW, distractions are the way to go I think!

@CocoLoco88 @Blondiebrownie6 congrats on AF, I was also super relieved when she came after my MC.

@angc30 that opk looks very positive to me!

@gizmo167 that looks positive to me too, huge congrats!

dragonleo · 19/04/2021 10:53

Hi everyone I'm new to this thread. I had a miscarriage at end of March (after a previous miscarriage last June) so this ttc journey is getting a bit tiring! I am now on day 22 of cycle counting Mc bleeding as day 1. No idea when ovulation going to start up again. No signs so far and just getting those flashing smileys for over a week now. Super frustrating! Just want to get on with it again!

gizmo167 · 19/04/2021 11:18

Thanks everyone, super nervous that I've tested too early, I have zero symptoms other than a bit of cramping, going to do a cb test on Wednesday I reckon which hopefully should show progression?

EsseKey · 19/04/2021 11:43

Hi all, quick update from me just because I need sharing!

It's 5 wk after MC, I think I am finally having my period, although it's still in that phase when I am not sure if I can consider it a period, or just "heavy spotting". I don't have any symptoms like cramping or breast tension that I used to have normally with my periods, but my bbt dropped this morning so I think that's a sign.

I kind of secretely hoped I could be pregnant again as I tested borderline positive with an opk 2 weeks ago when we dtd quite a lot...but nevermind I have been in the mindset of "really" trying after first AF...which is probably now.

I actually had something else to look forward to as we are doing some renovations at home, but today the builders came and they got measurements wrong so that might not even happen?!? I know it's silly but it was kind of keeping me sane in this times of waiting and having a milestone which was not pregnancy related (and that I thought I COULD control) was really helping me going through that... and now this has been taken away from me too! I know that any of this is my fault but I kind of feel the universe has something against me experiencing anything positive in this period....

Anyway I scrolled some of your posts ladies and I see a few bpf which just makes me so happy! congrats!

gizmo167 · 19/04/2021 12:48

@EsseKey I was exactly the same last month, kept hoping that I'd catch quickly but knew it wouldnt just the same! My symptoms before AF have changed dramatically since the mc's so I wouldnt worry too much about that. Fingers crossed that rainbow baby isnt far away x

EsseKey · 19/04/2021 13:01

Thanks @gizmo167 it's good to know that your AF symptoms also changed! I think it's just difficult to really understand or realise it until it happens to you personally!
at least (for now!) it's not worse than before, actually I have no pain at all, if that's the new standard I am quite happy with that ahahah
although having no period ( and a bpf) would be even better, of course!
fingers crossed for our little rainbows to show up soon

Elsie2021 · 19/04/2021 13:03

I rang EPAU today because test still positive and still bleeding 3 weeks post medical management.

She sounded pretty sure on the phone I had retained product (lovely phrase) and I’m booked in for a scan on Wednesday to check.

I’m really hoping they’re wrong and things are just taking time! How long did you all bleed for/take to get negatives?

I don’t want to do through it all again!

Ralala · 19/04/2021 15:10

@Elsie2021 almost 6 weeks for a negative for me xxx

EsseKey · 19/04/2021 16:56

@Elsie2021 so sorry to hear that it must be so frustrating! and I get it, everything seems to take such a long time and what we want is just get "back to normal" as soon as possible! 1 week feels like a year long!

It took for me 'only' 2 weeks to get a negative, I stopped bleeding/spotting after 7-10 days, it was an 11wk miscarriage. It's just so different for everyone I guess!
I hope your scan on wednesday goes ok!

Chev2021 · 19/04/2021 17:29

Hello all, you all seem like such a lovely, supportive group. I'd love to join.

I had a miscarriage two months ago, a blighted ovum. it really broke me. I came off birthday control in November and we luckily got the BFP at the end of January. I started cramping and spotting mid Feb and after a scan was told I was having a MC. It happened that weekend. As encouraged by the midwifes, we waited a full cycle before trying again.

Everything became about reaching those marks in time - negative text, first period, ovulation. About a week early, I think I've just had my period. It was very, very short (normally about 4-5 days) but I've had negative tests. I'm distraught and endlessly searching the interest.

dragonleo · 19/04/2021 18:03

@EsseKey I bled for 10 days and had a negative test by day 13. But absolutely no sign of ovulation at day 22 and counting...

dragonleo · 19/04/2021 18:04

@Chev2021 the internet searching is the worst. I fully empathise. Wasting so much of my life with endless google searches 😫

Chev2021 · 19/04/2021 18:09

@dragonleo Yup, just searching for the smallest bit of proof that I could be pregnant. Good to know I'm not alone.

(Please excuse my awful typing / grammar. My brain is mush.)

Blondiebrownie6 · 19/04/2021 18:53

@EsseKey I was a bit hasty yday thinking AF arrived....some fresh blood when I wiped then just spent rest of day with small amounts of spotting and today nothing. God knows what’s going on. Defos feel crampy , OPKs were high (not peak) a week or 2 ago and have stayed that way until today, so I’m not sure if I have already ovulated as no clear trend :/ really hoping AF is on her way though and can start a fresh. Hate not knowing what’s going on In there.

@Elsie2021 hope it goes ok at your scan Wednesday and fingers crossed it maybe a small amount retained. My negative took 6/7 weeks, it’s a slow process with medical management which is quite frustrating but it gets there eventually

Thanks @AlbiMix, I hope you start to feel better soon , must be such an anxious time for you

Sorry for your loss @Chev2021 , I understand your frustration and google can be a great tool but also so damaging for us at times and you get lost down a rabbit hole :( have you been tracking ovulation , did you get a peak this month ? Xx

EsseKey · 19/04/2021 19:33

@Blondiebrownie6 ah I totally feel you - I had a slight positive 2 weeks ago, but I am not even sure it was a positive because after 3-4 hours it was gone, so I had no clue about what was going on. Now AF is definitely with me but until today I had not clue if I was going to have it or not...no symptoms, no signs, no PMS-type of thing...nothing. I also hate not knowing what's going on inside!

Blondiebrownie6 · 19/04/2021 19:52

@EsseKey it’s so hard isn’t it ! And I hate that there isn’t a text book answer to what any of us go or are going through as everyone responds or reacts differently! Some fall straight back into place and others live with the unknown for months! My periods before were quite light but obvious symptoms most the time so I think I’d know if it was here but again you hear so many women saying that AF is different after MC , that it could be better or worse :/ so who knows Confused that’s good AF is with you now and you can officially start Day 1 :)

I’m just going to keep on the OPKs until either get a peak or official period and then go from there. My only saviour just now is with things lifting I can make plans to be out the house after work and the weekends and book things to look forward to so it’s not so consuming xx

Badlydrawngirly · 19/04/2021 20:17

Hi @Jujujuberry

Acupuncture was good thanks. I’m going again tomorrow to try and help ovulation and implantation.

I got a solid smiley this morning so kicking myself for not doing a second test in the afternoon yesterday. Hoping we’ve got everything covered and my lining is thickening up. I wasn’t expecting one until tomorrow or Wednesday. At least I’m consistent I guess, CD11 two cycles in a row now!

@AlbiMix I’m really sorry to hear you’re not feeling great. I totally get it as I have lupus (on the milder side luckily) and I always feel rubbish as soon as I fall pregnant. Are you on meds that can help? I know most of them are contraindicated but I am able to stay on hydroxychloriquine throughout.

I hope antenatal get back to you quickly. Can you speak to your rheumatologist for some advice too?
