@MeganN91 I would say you were ovulating now. Your one on cd20 wasn't positive as the line isn't nearly as dark as the control, so I think your ovulation is just a bit later and you're now ovulating!
You was right ! Well my results have dipped now. But I came home and went to the toilet and I had a serious amount of ewcm (sorry TMI) but I never ever got that while I was trying last year. I never really get it. We dtd last night. Do you think we should tonight to be safe.

I actually got so excited and cried 😂. I honestly thought my body was so messed up and I wasn't going to ovulate. And then was fearing it would keep carrying on. I had so many problems with my miscarriage up until 7 weeks later. I just thought it would be my luck that there would be an ongoing problem . I'm so relieved right now xxx

CMcA21 · 06/04/2021 14:38

Hi everyone hope you’re all having a good day, just reading the comments here. When you are TTC are you supposed to DTD before or after ovulation? I thought it was the few days leading up to it but not 100%

Neady1980 · 06/04/2021 14:39

Thanks @blondiebrownie6 I'm going to wait a couple of more days. My MC was the end of January and cycle has returned to normal but I always said I would only test if AF is late. I'm just gonna take it as a indent

EsseKey · 06/04/2021 14:51

@Neady1980 I bought a bunch of those as I was tracking my hCG levels going down after MC...I think they worked fine, the last day I saw a positive it was faint but it was definitely there. I am not sure about yours I can't see very well for the pictures but definitely it can all change in the next few days!

Since my first negative hCG I have started doing LH tests, always negative a part from yesterday morning where it was in my opinion borderline positive (similar color intensity between C and T)...plus I had EWCD in the morning so I thought ok I might be ovulating, but in the afternoon (4-5 hours later) the test was again negative...and no sign of EWCD anymore. LH test negative again this morning. I don't think I would have missed a peak because yesterday I tested twice, so I have no clue what's happening. We dtd anyway every day in the last week or so, so I think that in case I'm covered but gosh, I want to know so bad what's going on inside! or at least get some symptoms of either AF or anything else happening.
I miscarried 3 weeks ago, I know it can take longer than that but I really don't like for everything to take weeks/months! so frustrating

AMS19 · 06/04/2021 14:51

@CMcA21 sperm can live up to 5 days, so your fertile period is 5 days before. Sex the day before ovulation is the best day, which is usually the day of or day after a peak/Positive OPK

My miscarriage was also the end of jan. (26th) is this your first cycle. It is for me. Good luck with everything. I'm on the same journey as you x
Neady1980 · 06/04/2021 15:08

@MeganN91 if AF arrives this month it will be my 3rd cycle, I got a negative test 2 weeks after my MC and AF arrived 3 and a half weeks after it, only thing that's different since the MC is cycles have become a few days shorter. It's just a waiting game. Hopefully you will get a BFP soon xx

Neady1980 · 06/04/2021 15:11

@EsseKey hopefully your cycle will regulate itself soon. I think I'll just wait to see if AF arrives the weekend although I do feel like she's on the way

justwant2beamum · 06/04/2021 16:12

@angc30 my first period post mc was pretty light x

Blondiebrownie6 · 06/04/2021 16:50

No worries @Neady1980 keep us posted how you get on ! I desperately want AF to arrive to crack on again but with HCG at 20 still I think I’ll have another 4/5 weeks
To go before it arrives , maybe longer! The waiting game and not knowing what’s going on in there is so frustrating! X

Neady1980 · 06/04/2021 17:03

@blondiebrownie6 I was lucky my cycle returned to normal very quickly after my MC, hopefully your cycle will be back to normal soon. I reckon AF is on the way for me, will know the weekend xx

AlbiMix · 06/04/2021 17:27

Hi everyone, this thread moves so fast I can't keep up! But just wanted to say @Badlydrawngirly that my aunt tried for a baby for years and years and I think all but gave up, and then aged 43 she conceived and gave birth to my cousin who is now a happy and healthy teenager. I don't know if it helps to hear the positive stories, sorry if that's something that annoys you, it just brings me hope to think of the success stories.

I have to say that this MC and TTC experience is even making me look back over things and understand people so much better. My mum used to complain that my aunt and uncle never saw me and my siblings when were growing up, and now I realise it was probably because they were painfully going through a TTC journey and seeing their nieces would've been a constant reminder of what they didn't have. Now I feel upset that my mum made them out to be the inconsiderate ones.

@angc30 my post MC period was a bit heavier than usual bleeding wise (though not insanely) but was actually less painful than usual.

CMcA21 · 06/04/2021 17:48

Thank you @AMS19! Good to know that

Hi Ladies!

Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend in the sun...we’ve had snow today?!

@AMS19 you have no idea how much that meant to me! I’ve been in work today putting on a brave face and it’s so hard when people are unaware what’s going on. To think that I’ve never met you - it made me quite emotional! I’ve had my second blood test today and HCG levels have increased so that’s positive but I don’t have a scan until next Tuesday. So, I’m just adopting the whole “what will be will be” because I’ve spent the last two days in a bloody state, I actually went a little crazy 😂. I honestly can’t go on feeling this anxious, it makes me ill.

@Neady1980 I’ve never used Femometer tests. But if I’m honest the only ever test that has given me an early positive result is first response but I know there are mixed reviews on those! I tried the Premom ones, and they have such a high detection level I was getting nothing until around 6weeks!!

@MeganN91 me! Prior to miscarriage I was a CD18 girl, after miscarriage I was 19-22! In fact I would peak twice, so keep testing until you’ve seen a significant drop. I found that testing alongside temps (thanks to AMS19) worked for me as it gave me a definite ovulation date xxxxx

AMS19 · 06/04/2021 17:55

@Summersun001 oh that's great news they increased! So so pleased. You were I my thoughts all weekend and first thing this morning when I woke up ❤❤

That's good you got your levels down so quick. I still had a positive test at 6 weeks. When they scanned me I had retained product. Luckily on the 7th week my period started. Good luck for this cycle. And thank you xxx

Really it's strange how it can change things. When I think back now. I think I ovulated around cd18 too. Xxx
SuzieDeLaTour · 06/04/2021 18:31

@Neady1980 I can see a very slight line but almost impossible to tell with these tests so early on I think! I’ve got everything crossed for you xx
@Summersun001 oh that’s brilliant news!! I was thinking of you too and hoping your test results would be ok ❤️

AMS19 · 07/04/2021 07:39

Morning ladies.

@Neady1980 got everything crossed for you if testing again this morning!

Brightspark12 · 07/04/2021 07:51

Morning ladies finally got AF today! God it seems strange to be happy to come on 😂I generally had light periods post MC so hoping this isn’t a beast 😂 how’s everyone getting on? X

Neady1980 · 07/04/2021 07:59

Thanks @AMS19 as much as it's going to kill me now I've decided to wait and see if AF shows up. I'd drive myself mad testing after yesterday and that's the reason I never test early, also I'd rather not know if it's a CP. I do have very low abdomen cramping, normally get pain on right hand side coming up to AF so this pain is different plus have mild lower back pain but trying not to overthink things 🙈🙈

AMS19 · 07/04/2021 08:54

Wow super strong @Neady1980! When is AF due?

Badlydrawngirly · 07/04/2021 08:59

Hi @Jujujuberry I’m sorry you’re having to consider IVF too. We found a lovely clinic in Greece and had an online consultation with them last September. We were waiting for lockdown to ease a bit to make travel easier and then I fell pregnant. I think acceptance that it wasn’t going to happen naturally probably made me relax! I think we would do IVF if we need to but I’d rather not as it just sounds so stressful and the chances of success seem so small. I’ll see what the consultant says on Friday as he said based on my blood tests results he would tell us how long we can leave it (more pressure!)

@AlbiMix it really does help to hear positive stories so thank you. That sounds a bit like me with my brothers’ children as I’ve struggled to see much of them while we’ve been going through all of this. I really don’t think people know how hard it is and how much stress it puts you under.

I’m feeling a bit more positive today, well at least note philosophical about what might happen.

I’m still slightly crazy with the symptom spotting but I’ve stopped testing as that was bringing me down I think.

I am driving myself crazy as I have some of the same symptoms I did before my BFP in January. The sensible part of me says it’s unlikely we conceived and I’m trying to prepare myself for AF to come!
