@Pettylamby such good news! they say the chance of having a healthy pregnancy after seeing heartbeat at 6 weeks is 78% xx odds in your favour

PlantMummy87 · 01/04/2021 11:41

@Pettylamby I'm so so happy for you that you got to hear the heartbeat 💖💕💖

Madeoftea · 01/04/2021 12:51

@Pettylamby that's such good news I'm so happy for you and your sticky bean!

EsseKey · 01/04/2021 13:47

Hi ladies,
I am new here. I had a MC 2 weeks ago when I was 11wk pregnant.
It happened right when we were getting ready to tell people about the pregnancy, so far I had only told one close friend about it.
I am writing here because I hope that sharing my story and my thoughts with other people that can understand will help me coping with this situation. I read very nice messages here and I see a lot of support, I'd like to be part of that.

I haven't got my period after the MC yet, I know they say to wait 1 cycle before TTC again but I secretly hope to be pregnant again sooner than that. Is it so wrong?I am kind of obsessed with it, I know it's unhealthy but I can't help

AlbiMix · 01/04/2021 13:56

Hi ladies, I just came over from the other MC support thread, wasn't really ready for the TTC one before but I'm now in my first TWW after the MC so I've decided to join you.

I've been reading some of the messages, @glowingtwig I'm so sorry for your rollercoaster ride you've been on, I hope you're doing better now.

@AMS19 I used opks and temping this last cycle and your amazing knowledge was so helpful, thank you ❤️ I think I managed to catch my ovulation through the opks but trying to stay realistic!

@Pettylamby incredibly happy for you lovely, it brings such hope to see you doing well.

@EsseKey so sorry to hear your story, that sounds like a really tough time to MC when you're close to sharing the news. The ladies on these threads have been a lifeline for me and I know you'll find support here.

I'm going to try not to obsess about TTC but keeping up with you ladies makes me feel less alone - thank you everyone.

EsseKey · 01/04/2021 14:28

@AlbiMix thanks for your kind words! and fingers crossed for your first TWW
It's been hard indeed but I am glad to know there is a place where I can find (and give) support

I actually found out that I was going to mc when I was almost 9wk, I had an early scan and they saw a very small embryo (3 wks behind) with super slow heartbeat, so I knew it was just a matter of time and the wait has been horrible. I was just trying to receive some help to accelerate the timings but no one has been helpful at all, they said that until they see a heartbeat (although faint, and such a small embryo, which equals to 100% pregnancy loss) they couldn't do anything. I was so angry at the time...
but now everything seems fine, after I miscarried I had a scan which shows that my uterus is empty as it should, and yesterday (2 wk after mc) I finally had a negative pregnancy test.
I am also trying not to obsess about ttc again, but it's always there in my mind so maybe it is better to let it out by talking to someone rather than trying to suppress it?
I think it's totally normal wanting to be pregnant again asap, but we need to find a healthy way to express our "obsession" :)

I am also a bit scared about how my cycles will look like after mc? I have always been super regular, I used opk when ttc for the first time and I learnt my patterns, but now...who knows?! I want to use opk immediately, even before I get my af again, just to track how my body is doing, if and when I get another LH surge again...call it scientific curiosity slash pregnancy obsession! Grin

AMS19 · 01/04/2021 16:38

Hi @EsseKey so sorry you have had to join us! Really sorry to hear about your experience. I also found out about my mmc at 9+5 but didn't have my mva until 11+1. Such a drawn out process! I'm now 4 months on and things are still normalising but I'm getting there!

@AlbiMix so lovely to have you over here with us! Really pleased the tracking is going well. Everything crossed for a quick rainbow xx

Thanks @AMS19 glad to hear that things are getting better!
@AlbiMix fingers crossed for you!

LauraT94 · 01/04/2021 17:13

@Pettylamby congratulations! So happy for you. I was up all night dreaming of them finding twins and triplets in me so I was expecting at least two sacs 😂

It's good news from me too ❤️ measuring fine, and a strong heartbeat!! Absolutely elated although I still don't think it's sunk in properly haha!

Mellous · 01/04/2021 17:23

@LauraT94 congrats lovely x

AMS19 · 01/04/2021 18:01

Ahhh @LauraT94 that's the best news!!! Im absolutely over the moon for you lovely. Pop back now and again to let us know how you're getting on xx

Pettylamby · 01/04/2021 18:09

Thank you everyone for all the messages!

Back to EPU in 3 weeks for another scan to see if the other sac has been reabsorbed!

@LauraT94 so happy for you too! It was so surreal seeing the wee HB, never got to that stage last time!

Will be keeping an eye on this thread, hoping for some more good news in the next few weeks and months! You've been a godsend, you really have 😘🌈

AlbiMix · 01/04/2021 18:29

Thanks @EsseKey I was also really worried about my cycle normalising but I got my first AF post MC around 4/5 weeks after and then pretty sure I did ovulate on CD14 (though could be wrong as first time using opks) so it's possible for your cycle to normalise quickly. Mine could still go haywire later on but for now it seems relatively ok.

Thanks @AMS19 keeping my fingers crossed.

@LauraT94 that's incredible, congrats!!! Ah so happy and excited for you all with your new pregnancies🌈🌈

SuzieDeLaTour · 01/04/2021 19:03

@AMS19 ha! Hope you had a fun lunchtime! 😜
@EsseKey I’m sorry you’ve had to join this thread - it really is so tough but you’re in the right place with this wonderful bunch of ladies!! I tried straight after my first MC a few years ago and I fell pregnant immediately. This time around I chose to wait for my first period so tried last month for the first time since miscarrying in Jan but nothing happened annoyingly! Was hoping for a magic egg 😁 on to our second month of trying - I think I’ll ovulate mid next week. Don’t worry about being obsessed, I think it’s fair to say we are all pretty much obsessed!!
@LauraT94 ahhh another round of good news yay!! Congrats lovely xx

Seasalt1984 · 01/04/2021 19:43

@pettylamby and @laurat94 so pleased to hear your positive news!! This has warmed my heart ❤ my 8 week scan feels aaaages away but finding things to distract myself as much as possible until then.

Keeping everything crossed for continued healthy and safe pregnancies for you both!! Sending lots of love xxx

Jujujuberry · 01/04/2021 19:52

@Pettylamby soo excited and happy you have seen your bubbas HB, yayyy 🥳❤️

@LauraT94 wow congratulations 🎉 on a positive and happy scan !! Woohoo ❤️

Sorry you’ve had to join us @EsseKey, you’ve come to the right place for support! Dont feel bad about wanting to be pregnant again, its only natural. I think once you decide you want to have a baby, nothing will stop you until you have it! I’ve had two MC and onto our first TWW x

JenTTC · 01/04/2021 20:07

@mellous thankyiu for the invite :)

We decided in Jan that we would start not trying but just seeing what happened, and in feb i found out i was pregnant, unfortunately 6 weeks into the pregnancy i had a misscarriage. Its by far the hardest thing ive ever been through as im 100percent sure you ladies will know.

The bleeding from the misscarriage started on the 7th march, its only just finished a couple of days ago. Ive started to use the opks to try and figure out whats happening in my cycle. I think at first they were picking up residual hcg from the pregnancy as got alot of high readings. They started going negative about 6 days ago and i got negative pregnancy test and a scan that has confirmed the misscarriage is complete. I tested yesterday with a clearblue and got a O for negative, did another today and got a flashy face 🙂, did anothet test few hours later and its come up faulty.
Really want to know whats going on as want to start trying right away. Didnt realise how much i wanted this until it was taken away to be completely honest.

Hope you all have the best luck in the world on your journeys! X x

glowingtwig · 01/04/2021 22:21

@Pettylamby that silence from the sonographer initially must have had your heart in your mouth. But SUCH amazing news! Yay! Amazing. And only three weeks til your next scan, you can do that.

Also @LauraT94 I'm so happy that you've had good news on your scan too, how lovely to see that gorgeous heartbeat. Your news has made my day ladies.

@EsseKey your dates and timings are similar to my mmc in December. It's a terribly hard time so be kind to yourself. My cycle returned almost exactly to the day it should have done- they could see a follicle ready to go during my final scan to check the miscarriage was complete. You are in the right place on this group- the ladies lift up your positive moments and hold you in the down times.

@AMS19 hope you had a nice lunch! Grin

AMS19 · 01/04/2021 22:33

@JenTTC welcome to the crew. Really sorry you've had to join us. We all totally understand how you feel - it's so hard. It does get easier though I promise! I ovulated 6 weeks after my mva when my hcg levels were 9 so you definitely could well be ovulaing!

@SuzieDeLaTour @glowingtwig I had a great lunch and dinner thanks ladies 😉😴

glowingtwig · 01/04/2021 22:35

@AMS19 you need an early night 😂 😴

AMS19 · 01/04/2021 22:37

Ha @glowingtwig I need a temp rise tomorrow so I don't have to go again 😅

OP posts:
EsseKey · 01/04/2021 23:53

I love feeling this support, Thanks ladies! Although sorry that you all had to go through mc :(
@glowingtwig what do you mean with your cycle returned almost exactly to the day it should have done? Did you count the day of mc as the first day of period?
@JenTTC i feel exactly like you i just want to start trying right away! I hope you get your smiley face soon. I am also using an opk just to see what's going on, i just hope it doesn't take too long to start ovulanting again. These weeks are sooo long!!

Tabbycat92 · 02/04/2021 07:10

Hello all, currently going through a MC at 5weeks. Absolutely gutted, but it has left me more determined than ever. How long before everyone started to try again.
Also I was booked in for a scan today to see what was going on (whether it was a MC or not) but I did a FRER this morning to check and though positive it's hardly there whereas I was getting line stealers before. Would you say it's still worth getting the scan? It's at a really awkward time for us as it's the same time our new kitchen is being delivered 🤦🏽‍♀️ plus I already know baby is gone, so what's the point in getting told what I already know

AMS19 · 02/04/2021 07:41

Hi @Tabbycat92 sorry to hear about your loss. Most of us were a lot further gone than you and needed surgery etc so hard to comment specifically. I would suggest posting on this thread and there may be someone who had a very early loss on there:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/miscarriage/4190003-Support-thread-for-those-experiencing-or-recently-experienced-a-MC-MMC-Thread-4-ALL-welcome?pg=12

Generally at your stage it shouldn't take long at all for everything to return to normal as your hcg levels will still be very low 🙂

Hi everyone. I had a natural miscarriage at 11 weeks, but baby had stopped developing at 5w6d. I'm still waiting for my first AF post MC and it is agonising. It's been 5 weeks since I passed the sac. I'm driving myself crazy obsessing over wanting a baby! But then feel guilty that I feel like I would be replacing the one I lost. This thread has given me somewhere to share my feelings as my fiancé doesn't understand how I feel, though he tries.
