@LauraT94 I'm so sorry to read about your bladder infection... they are so awful and the sort of thing that you can't stop thinking about because the pain is always in the background. I really hope the next lot of antibiotics work. Really pleased to hear that everything seems to be going well with this pregnancy though 💕

@Ralala saaame with the night sweats... so awful. Maybe it's the change in the weather or hormones?

Really hope all goes well with your scan too, @yepstilltrying

@Jujujuberry I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this extra worry and uncertainty. Did the GP say exactly what the test was? Was it done on the NHS? There might be something in the book I have by Prof Regan on it I could send you the page. It's such an awful feeling the lack of control we have around what's happening to us and - yes- so isolating.

I'm on a bit of a downer today... I rang the EPU yesterday to check that they had automatically cancelled the scan I had booked today since I now won't need it. They called back to check I was ok and all had sorted itself naturally and the nice lady on the phone said 'we'll tie it up our end then'. It just reminded me that that's it now, no more pregnancy related stuff, all bleeding over... it's as if it never was and never happened. DH doesn't talk about it, it's just me to acknowledge it. I need to chuck away the positive tests and try to move on... but it's really tough not being able to start ttc again this time. I just feel rather pointless.

AMS19 · 31/03/2021 14:32

@justwant2beamum my first AF was 21 days after my mva so not far off! Although it was a rubbish AF I must say, basically 2 days of spotting. So not sure if it counts!

@glowingtwig oh lovely I'm so sorry. That must be so so tough. You are absolutely not pointless. You have a beautiful little one and you are their world! Everything else WILL fall into place, remember, for all of us, it's not if it's when xx

Cd1 for me! So a 35 day cycle this time. Better than the 38 days last time I suppose! Hopefully it gets shorter next cycle.

I have opks for this cycle. Not convinced I have been ovulating so we will see what happens this month.

With opks- what cycle day is best to start with them? Does it matter when in the day you take them? Am I better doing two when I’m nearing ovulation .... sorry lots of questions

AMS19 · 31/03/2021 17:04

@Ralala yay for CD1!! Fresh start for you. So I take them from around cd8/9 as I usually ovulate cd13. I would start taking taking around 5 days before you usually ovulate. Do once a day, anytime between 11am and 6pm is ideal. When you start to see any pick up in the colour/premom rating, then start doing 2 a day to try catch your peak

I'm sorry I haven't caught up to all the latest comments, I will read them all this eve. Just wanted to ask, I finally got confirmation that the issue this whole time is in fact left over tissue from the erpc. I'm devastated as I just want it all to be over and to try move past it. I have to make a decision now whether I take tablets to pass it (the consultant said there's a small chance that they will pass it) or go for another erpc. What would you all do?
If I choose tablets I will get them on Friday and won't be scanned for over a week afterwards to see if they worked, if they didn't I will have to get the surgery anyway.
If I choose surgery they will do it on Tuesday.
What would you all choos if it were you? I am 3 and half weeks post initial erpc, still bleeding and having cramps xx

justwant2beamum · 31/03/2021 17:38

Thanks @AMS19 yeah mine seems quite light at the moment - i guess I'll see what comes of it. I guess maybe if it's not long since you've just bled then your lining hasn't built back up? hoping I'll ovulate and get a normal cycle and can track properly x

AMS19 · 31/03/2021 17:42

@Cienega I'm sorry to hear that. Obviously it needs to be your choice and what works for you. If it were me and I had been in that situation, I think I would have gone for surgery again to get it over and done with, as I know most of the time the tablets don't work. But it depends if you'd rather start the process sooner and give it a shot to try and avoid surgery again?

Hi ladies ❤️ Hope you’re all okay. I too have been extreeemely distant from MN. I’m 7+4 today so approaching our miscarriage benchmark of 8+4 although I’d experienced bleeding at this point previously so it’s looking ok at the moment.

I’ve been an anxious mess. Crying most days which makes me really sad. I’ve had two weeks forced leave due to having so much left over because of Covid and it’s been horrendous. I’ve been out walking every day but the time alone has really played havoc with my mind. It’s silly really, I worried about bleeding in the initial stages - now I worry that there will be no hb. Doesn’t get any easier! I can’t bring myself to book a scan because I’m scared...but I think I will book one for when I’m 9 weeks - passed the benchmark. We’ll see. The pregnancy after loss book by Zoe Clark-Coates has been a godsend. I really do reccomend it x

Sending you all so much love. Hoping you’re all enjoying the sunshine xxxxxx

yepstilltrying · 31/03/2021 19:55

@Cienega That is so frustrating. If it was me I'd have surgery. I say that as I had the tablets twice last time and they didn't work for me so felt I wasted time and ended up with an operation anyway months later. But depends if you'd rather give that a go first to avoid another surgery, it may work fine for you.

AMS19 · 31/03/2021 20:11

@Summersun001 hello lovely. I was thinking about you a couple of days back wondering how you were. Honestly I can't even imagine how scary and anxious you must be! You're our furthest gone lady! I have absolutely everything crossed for you. Will be thinking of you so please pop back and let us know how you are xxx

SuzieDeLaTour · 31/03/2021 20:44

@Cienega oh I’m so sorry you’re in this position. I think I would also opt for the ERPC just to get it over and done with rather than run the risk of the tablets not working. Depends whether you can face going into hospital for surgery though. X
@Jujujuberry gosh I really feel for you but your odds are still good and I’ve found when it comes to fertility, you just never know - try to stay positive, have faith and don’t get bogged down with stats or Google! Sending you loads of love ❤️

@Summersun001 oh pregnancy after MC is never easy - it’s such a nerve wracking time but you’re already 7+4...you’ll be through those first 3 months in no time. Have everything crossed for you xx

Jujujuberry · 31/03/2021 21:23

@justwant2beamum Thank you, I’m hoping that it wont be long until I can see the specialist. Thats great you have your first AF it sorted helps you move forward from the MC!

Thank you @glowingtwig I think the test was a genetic blood test of some sort, it was taken on day 3 of my cycle, to be honest I’m not sure of the exact name for it, but it was public funded (I’m outside of the UK). Oh hun I’m so sorry your feeling like its all over now, take care of yourself and treasure your DD, you are so special, dont let those negative thoughts take over!! X

@SuzieDeLaTour thank you so much for your kind and positive words, they mean alot! Your right, I was just crying so much before, and saying out loud, I just want a baby what can I do, and a little voice said, stop crying.. so I’ll take that as the universe saying relax and calm down, one day this will all be worth it. Xx

Brightspark12 · 01/04/2021 08:55

Hiya guys hope you’re all well- just been catching up on the thread haven’t been on for a while. I got my first clearly negative IC stick since my MC on 18th March. 21st March FRER stil showing positive. Im behaving like a bit of a maniac testing almost everyday😂 I want to make sure I get a negative so I know any new pregnancy is exactly that. A did an FRER this morning and very faint line. I don’t even think it’s possible to be pregnant this quickly but you always hope don’t you! I’m pretty sure it’s leftover HCG. I did a clearblue rapid response on 27th which was negative. Hope everyone’s ok xxx

Recent MC - New cycles & trying again Thread 2
Brightspark12 · 01/04/2021 08:57

Just to add my HCG levels were 1006 on 10th March having fallen from 2300 on 8th- so you would hope they were 0 by now😂😂

AMS19 · 01/04/2021 09:25

Morning @Brightspark12 it took me 7 weeks to get a negative on a frer. It does tend to be that the hcg reduction really slow downs towards the end. For example, it took me a week to go from 9 to less than 1. So I would say it most likely is leftover hcg but don't panic, in a week or two it should be a BFN

I've got proper scanixtity for the ladies having their scans today!! So invested in our little group.

Happy Bank Holiday Friday ladies! X

Brightspark12 · 01/04/2021 09:32

@AMS19 oh I’m glad someone else had the same, It’s deffo left over HCG (those annoying sensitive bastard tests😂) feeling periody now so hopefully she comes soon, will be 4 weeks post MC on Saturday. How you feeling? Xx

Good luck to everyone on their scans today xx

Mellous · 01/04/2021 09:48

Hey all,

Still reading all your messages every day!

Good luck to @LauraT94 and @Pettylamby today xx

AMS19 · 01/04/2021 09:59

@Brightspark12 I had a MASSIVE wobble this morning because my opks were still blank and yesterday was my usual O day. So threw my boys out my pram and said I'm done with TTC until the autumn. Then poas this morning and got a high on an opk 😂😂😂 this all all so bloody stressful isn't it 😂😂 but, on the brightside it's the long weekend! Whoop!

OP posts:
Pettylamby · 01/04/2021 10:33

Hi Ladies!

Well... Its good news!! After a 10minute silence from the sonographer and me assuming the worst she turned the screen which showed two sacs, one empty and one with a 6 week baby with a heartbeat! So so happy! Got to go back in 3 weeks to see if the other sac has been reabsorbed! So not entirely plain sailing but delighted! Cried some proper happy tears! 💕💕

Mellous · 01/04/2021 10:47

@Pettylamby oh amazing!!! So happy for you xx

SuzieDeLaTour · 01/04/2021 10:52

@Pettylamby oh that’s amazing news!! So so happy for you - I can’t imagine how scary her silence must have been. I would have cried happy tears too!! Such an exciting time ❤️

SuzieDeLaTour · 01/04/2021 11:00

@AMS19 oh love I know that rollercoaster - one minute want to stick two fingers up at TTC and the next you’re desperate to get down to it! we know what you’ll be doing all weekend 🤣 x

AMS19 · 01/04/2021 11:06

Oh my god @Pettylamby that's incredible! I'm really sorry about the empty one obviously, but incredible on the little fighter!!! Oh you've absolutely made my day!!! ❤❤

@SuzieDeLaTour honestly one minute I was googling how to freeze my Fertility Friend subscription and messaging a friend about boozing brunches, then next minute I'm downing grapefruit juice and seeing if my husband is up for a cheeky lunchtime session 😂😂😂
