3DPO anyone want to TWW with me?

I had a chemical at 5wks, 5 days on 27th feb, after a week of positive pregnancy tests.

Luckily it feels my cycle has returned quite quickly, anyone else at 3DPO? xx

Congrats @MsK89!! This really has been been a lucky thread. Fingers crossed for you!! I'm 5+1 as well and also don't usually feel very "pregnant" although I've been testing regularly with results getting stronger and stronger so I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing!

That’s great news that your test are getting stronger! Such a good feeling to see that happen. Will you have an early scan or wait til 12 weeks?

I have just booked a scan for end of April when I will be nearly 8 weeks. It seems ages away!!

Also so nice to hear your dad is getting better, life always seems to throw you all the curveballs at once but hoping this is your little bit of luck on its way to make everything right again. Do you think dad will get to come home soon?

My booking appointment went really well thank you, the midwife came to my house and ended up staying 2.5 hours so it's been a bit of an information overload but all starting to feel a bit more real now. She took bloods for all the initial screening tests so should hear back in a week or so on those.

I have ended up booking a private early scan at 8 weeks (well, 7+6). Just over two weeks to go for that so feeling nervous but I think once we've had that scan we will feel comfortable telling our parents about being pregnant. It's our little secret so far and it's such a big secret to keep!

@Whatshouldicallme that sounds so positive! I keep seeing mine get darker and it's the only thing keeping me sane during these early months! I've finally got my cheap tests to go dark so feeling more confident that I am progressing as I should. How have you been doing with symptoms? Do you have none at all? I feel so bloated!

It’s nice that you have the secret for now but will be amazing to be able to tell your parents. Have you got a plan on how you will do it?

@JGessie Wow, that's great you had such a thorough appointment with the midwife. I have referred myself online but haven't heard anything back from them. It sounds like we are having 7-8 week scans at almost the same time! We will tell family after this as well I think. I have almost no symptoms still -- my boobs are maybe a tiny bit sore from yesterday but that's basically it. I am quite tired and get headaches often but that is normal for me so not sure if it's anything to do with pregnancy!

@MsK89 @Whatshouldicallme yes I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful midwife, she really made me feel at ease and it's now feeling a lot more real and weirdly less stressful!

It's so funny how we're all on such close schedules, I'm really excited about my scan but also a little anxious. I'm hoping everything will all be okay for all of us! I'm also hoping it's less scary after that but I'm expecting I'll find something else to worry about!

We've made these small clay hearts for our parents with their initials and the month we're due on. Both sets of parents will be first time grandparents so I think it's going to be pretty special for them. We're counting down the days until we can tell them!

Do you guys have any plans or ideas on how to reveal yet?

Last year we planned on making pink & blue cupcakes with cupcake toppers that say ‘worlds best Nan’ and ‘worlds best grandad’ unfortunately because of my miscarriage at 9 weeks we never got to give them. Hoping this time we may get to give them (and I need to check the cupcake toppers haven’t gone mouldy!) 🤞🏼

Aww @MsK89 that's such a cute idea! We wanted to write worlds best Nan or equivalent (such a cute sentiment) but we never asked our parents what they'd want to be called before we were pregnant so don't want to write Nan and my mum turns round and says she'd rather be a Gran! And now we are pregnant we definitely can't ask, DPs mum will 100% smell a rat!

I really hope you get to give them those cupcakes, you'll have to let us know how it goes when you do, we're certain at least two of our parents will cry, probably DPs dad and my mum 😂

@JGessie yes it might be a bit of a giveaway mentioning it now as it will be written all over your face 😂

we’ve had the chat with our parents before, both refuse to be called Grandma and they think Nan sounds like it makes them younger 😂 Both their names rhyme with Nan too! We’re lucky our mums get on well too.

Hello everyone I have just read the whole thread and really pleased so many of you got your BFPS, I am hoping you will let me gate crash lol, I am currently 10 dpo, have been unwell this past week with flu like symptoms, so to symptoms spot was difficult as I have been very tierd but I have noticed nipples are larger and more prominent 🤦‍♀️ and yesterday and today I have felt really nauseous and very bloated, I tested with middle of day pee today as had to go get some tests was bfn but kind of knew it was going to be, will test again tomorrow, gutted as Asda only had there own test in (no frer) so I had to get them.
Hoping I can soon join you ladies in some great news😊

Don't be discouraged if you don't get a bfp tomorrow. I got a bfp at 10dpo on frer (really faint in the morning and then darker in the afternoon) but it took ages (at least 3-4 days) to show at all on some other brands.

Really don't trust any tests lol as I had a 3 day late period last month, only lightly bled for 2 days decided to test and got 5 different positives on different tests, I was soo confused but went for a viability scan and they couldn't see anything so I have carried on this cycle as normal, just my luck to get numerous false positives x these are the false positives I had

It's still early though, I'd wait a few days and then try again.

I will do x have had painful cramps for about an hour today soooo hoping it's not AF cramps 😫 also had waves of nausea.

Sorry to hear it was negative @Ssglascoe but if you don’t get AF in a few days then always worth testing again xxx

Hey ladies, just an update for those who asked 😃

Had a scan today, external not internal. they measured me at 6 weeks exactly. No fetal pole, but I saw the sac and the yolk. Also it looks like it’s implanted low, so not near my septum 🤞🏼
I’m going back 2 weeks today to check there is a baby growing. This TWW will be longer than a TWW after ovulation 🙈

@MsK89 that really does sound positive! This really will be the longest 2ww in history though! I have my fingers crossed for you that all goes well, am really enjoying the updates too so thanks for keeping us posted! Such wonderful cameraderie here, it's lovely.
