3DPO anyone want to TWW with me?

I had a chemical at 5wks, 5 days on 27th feb, after a week of positive pregnancy tests.

Luckily it feels my cycle has returned quite quickly, anyone else at 3DPO? xx

How is everyone getting on with waiting today?

I have just finished daily testing with opk...it was blazing positive. I was excited at first and did break down and take a frer but it was bfn. I wasn't planning to test so early (only 6 dpo ) and only did because of the positive opk. But now I'm a bit worried something is wrong! My last LH peak (6 days ago) was clear and basically bang on when I'd have expected given my cycle so this has really thrown me.

@Whatshouldicallme do you temp as well??

@Whatshouldicallme I'm a bit confused on all the tests sorry! OPK are the sticks that predict the LH surge but what are the others, I only used the OPK around my predicted fertile window?

@xoJellyBean I have only used my app and OPK this month. It is my first month TTC Second child. I only used an app with my first so OPK are new for me. I don't know much about the other bits! Need to swot up

I only started temping after ovulation, so I don't have anything to compare my current temps to unfortunately. I guess we will BD tonight -- althought the first surge seemed so real! It was exactly 2 weeks before expected AF, ewcm, etc. I've felt shit and pms-y with a headache ever since my suspected O so it all seemed to make perfect sense. I always get a mid-cycle headache that lasts on and off until AF arrives.

Basically I've continued taking the opk (LH) tests even after my surge mostly just out of curiosity, and now I've gotten another positive which has confused me as I don't think that is typical! I took a pregnancy test to see if maybe that was it, but it was negative :(

@Whatshouldicallme ohhhh I see, I will cross everything for you. I ovulated later than my app predicted this month so the OPK was helpful as I wouldn't have known otherwise. I've a few more days to wait I think. 🤞

@Whatshouldicallme I've read in places that getting positive OPKs post-ovulation can be an early sign of pregnancy as the hormone they pick up is chemically similar to HCG but I don't know how true this is. I can't seem to find much scientific evidence, only other forums where members recount their own experiences. Try not to be disheartened! BD is definitely a good idea just in case you're ovulating late!

@JGessie I had read that too which is why I got excited! But surely if it was due to early pregnancy a frer would have picked it up.

@Whatshouldicallme I'm not sure, this is all very new to me. Perhaps the OPKs are more sensitive than PG tests? I wish 2ww wasn't such emotional torture! I have my fingers crossed for a BFP in a few days!

Sorry I missed my notifications on here yesterday, Monday’s are always manic!

6DPO today and zero symptoms. I usually have bloating by now so pretty sure I’m out this month but I know I’ll still obsess about it 🙈 both times I’ve been pregnant, I’ve had a short period before getting the positive test. In fact the first period/implantation bleed lasted 6 days and I got the BFP the following week! That pregnancy lasted 9-10 weeks. So even when I get my period now I still think I could be pregnant

Was listening to a podcast about acupuncture and fertility earlier, I’m so tempted to look into it more! Has anyone ever had it?

I haven't had fertility acupuncture but I have two friends who have and it worked for them. X

Hi all, can I jump on? I'm about 8/9 DPO on second cycle trying again after MMC at 9.5 weeks in early Jan. Last month I drove myself slightly mad symptom spotting and was convinced I'd conceived, was really hard seeing BFN and getting AF. Feeling calmer this month (I think!) but do feel like I've had some symptoms again (mild cramping, low energy). Would be good to keep myself sane with you ladies!

AF due next Monday so going to try and hold off doing any testing until the weekend at least! Maybe...

@Seasalt1984 I'm about 6dpo and I'm feeling more tired than normal too, I'm falling asleep on the sofa at 9pm and usually I'm wide awake until at least 11pm and I'm struggling to wake up in the mornings! Also trying to be calm and not symptom spot (as I've managed to convince myself I'm pregnant before when we weren't TTC and it was heartbreaking when AF was just late, never mind now)!

Knowing I'm not alone during this TWW is helping me stay calm though, DP said to me last night "calm down, it's only been 6 days"....so having everyone here to talk to is massively reassuring. DP is just super chill about everything and happy to go with the flow, wish I could be more like him!

@LittleDoveLove that’s amazing! Did they have it during the 2 week wait? Or once they got their positive?

Hey @Seasalt1984 god it’s so hard waiting isn’t it once you get to 9DPO! I find that the only way I can resist is by not having tests in the house!!

@JGessie my partner is the same, so chilled about everything! Whereas I struggle to think of anything else!

I think it's meant to help you relax and stuff isn't it so when TTC. I'm not sure if they continued after the positive. I didn't think you are allowed things like that for the first 13 weeks so I wouldn't imagine not, but I really don't know much about it other than they had it and worked for them x

Thanks @msk89 and @jgessie. I think I used up the last of my tests last month so easier to resist! I've stopped mentioning stuff to my DH unless he asks, he's really supportive but don't think he gets how all consuming it can be! Work is pretty busy at the mo which helps as a distraction too!

I conceived my daughter on acupuncture to be honest. I had tried 3 month and 4th month I did acupuncture for fertility and as soon as I left the place I felt a burning sensation around my ovaries and I remember I even told my mum about it. It was so weird it felt like the blood supply was rushing down to my ovaries if that makes sense... I did it just few days before ovulation and got pregnant same month :) so I believe it works really good

@Seasalt1984 I think I will stop mentioning things to DP too, he's very good at listening but I think the relatively regular commentary from me is a bit much for him! I know he's excited (which is just the cutest thing) but I think he's cautious about the fall if we get BFNs.

@Sunshinexx95 this sounds so intriguing, I'm terrified of needles though (I passed out last time I went to the dentist). How was it? Were the needles bad? Where is the acupuncture on your body? (Sorry probably really dumb questions but this is the first time I've heard of this and it sounds fascinating).

@Seasalt1984 my work is really busy too, I’m so grateful to be in work. I can’t imagine doing the TWW on furlough or whilst looking for work! Sympathise with anyone in that situation

I’ve had cramping this evening and some brown spotting. Pretty sure it’s the beginning of AF as I usually have a short lateral phase 😭

I only had my chemical last month and I can’t remember how the cramping felt, before I got my positives, I wish I had made notes or something, it’s so hard to distinguish cramps

Wow @Sunshinexx95 that’s incredible!! The ladies I was listening to this morning on the worst girl gang ever podcast were discussing positive experiences too. I will definitely look into it. How does it feel?

I'm either 5/6DPO today, quite short cycles 26ish days. AF is due Monday 29th. Not really sure when is best to test!
